The owner of this Wendy's is an angel in disguise! If you believe in the universe sending you signs then you will understand. I pulled up after skipping out on Chickfila (warning sign #1) and got me a good ole #1 with no cheese, no mayo & no pickles. To my surprise when I received my food there was cheese on it. (warning sign #2). No big deal, I expected it low key because I've been to this Wendy's once or twice last year. I wait by the door and get my new sandwich and this one didn't have cheese but did have mayo and pickles. I read the receipt and it even said no mayo and no pickles. (warning sign #3) And for the first time in my life I turned a new leaf people! I went inside a fast food restaurant and got a refund! The lady behind the counter looked at me when I came in and said what's the matter with it. I showed her the receipt and asked for my refund and I could see in her eyes she too was in disbelief. At first I was upset about the whole experience until it hit me that the universe want's me to lay off fast food and get back in shape. Clearly the universe hand picked the owner of this Wendy's to find the worst cook who may or may not know how to follow instructions. How crazy is it that the universe would give me 3 warning signs to get back in the gym before the summertime really hits! So...bravo to the cook who messed it up twice even with instructions on the receipt. Bravo to the owner for their lack of skills when it comes to hiring people. I ordered two Frosties ahead of time for takeout. When I got there, there were only a couple people waiting, so I figured it'd be quick. Instead, I stood there watching people who walked in after me place full orders and get their food before I was even acknowledged. Someone who looked like a manager or team lead took multiple orders right in front of me and didn't say a word to me. It took five minutes before anyone even looked my way. No eye contact, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. I was the only white person there, and honestly, I'm struggling not to think that had something to do with how I was treated. I hate thinking that way, but I felt completely dismissed. Eventually I got my Frosties, but not until someone who ordered after me got theirs first. It was frustrating and honestly made me feel like I didn't matter. If the roles were reversed, I think people would be calling it out. The vibe was just bad, and the service was worse. Worth going a little out of the way to that one or any other one you can find. Her reply was "we don't have it" I can see why this location gets a 1 star review. Unfortunately the problem is staff not trained properly and that Cascade roads is a good desert. Tried using a coupon via the app - I was given a new total as if the coupon was applied but later realized that I was charged the full amount. I called the location (and spoke with a manager) the same day and explained the situation, I was told they would refund it and then hung up on without a goodbye or apology - so I truly thought my phone disconnected the call. I called back, and she reconfirmed a refund would be given but then said they didn't even have my cc information and would need for me to call back in 30mins with that information. The first time I ordered something, about a week ago, it was simply fries - the ones with sea salt. It was late, probably a different crew? The fries were great, so I figured I'd be back. A few days later I come I the daytime. I order fries again. This time they werent fresh, and lacked salt. I had already left and had salt in my car so I just let it pass that time. Third try, in the morning. I tell them at the drive thru, I want fresh fries and salt on the fries like it says on the sign. I am assured ot will be made right. So they give me my fries and they are fresh looking. I ask for a salt PACKET - a young gal tells me they dont have any. Salt PACKET is the question she is answering (important later). I drive to the adjacent parking lot, and start eating the fries. No sea salt, just plain ass fries. Got-dammit, going back to the restaurant, maybe they have salt they are cooking with, they can just pour me a little? So I go inside and ask about getting some salt. This crew cannot handle customer complaints without trying to turn it into a fight, I find out. I get crew members left and right jumping in trying to justify thier mistakes, and a rude manager who just wanted to dismiss the matter instead of helping me out. They just couldn't handle a simple complaint, and I was as nice and calm about it as you can be - not like I came in hollering and banging my fist, just told them the issue like I was talking to other human beings. The gal who told me they didnt have salt tries to twist her answer to say she told me the restaurant was TOTALLY OUT OF SALT. I reminded her I asked her for a SALT PACKET, when she answered "We dont have any salt!" She never clarified that they didnt have ANY salt, as in no salt for cooking either - and I never asked that! So what was that- a little white lie to try and cover herself? The guy who took my order drums in "We didnt have salt, so I made sure you had fresh fries", like that was commendable??? He never told me they had no salt, which is half the recipe (fries with sea salt). You dont "decide" to give a customer whatever you have without telling them. All he had to do is tell me that up front, instead of letting me drive off with a bag of bland food like that. All I'm telling them is they did not give me the food as advertised, and ignored my previous issue - which I told them in advance. I expect some kind of gesture, at least apologize and stop making excuses for what they did. All they did is keep telling me they have no salt, like they really didnt get it. At that point I already knew they had no salt- let's advance the conversation to what your going to do to make a customer feel better? I wasted gas driving there and waiting. I wasted my time. I wasted money. I have food that's no good, so I have to find other food, wasting more time and gas. How are they going to make me whole? So this "Manager" "resolves" the mistake like this: With a nasty attitude, as if I was the one that screwed up. Shes obviously angry - at me? Why? I'm just a customer with an issue that her crews fault, she should be mad at THEM, not me - but like a lot of fast food places, they dont act like a service crew, they act like a rival gang. They are the bloods and we are the crips. So the gang boss is only interested in protecting her gang from anything that comes from outsiders. Shes talking to me like she thinks I'm one of her subordinates. She only offers a refund. I tell her if that all they can do... She tells me she needs the food, and then starts going into some unnecessary spin about how she "ain't giving no refund without the food". I never said I wanted a refund without giving her the food, so, where that came from? I told her Ill get it from my car. I'm walking away and she orders me to go get it... wth? I told her I'm going to get it, dont tell me what to do! Who was she trying to impress? I dont work there, keep your orders to yourself, lady. I bring the fries back and she makes sure to throw them away in my face. So dumb; all they had to do was apologize, all this was unnecessary. She also could have just given me a discount instead of wasting food and getting no sale. That's America, people starving worldwide and they throw perfectly good food in the trash for a silly, prideful reason. How dare a customer complain, I'll show him! Shes angry - I guess I dissed her gang. Gives me the refund and keeps adding 3rd grade remarks, like "You have to put your card in the reader..." (theres a tone to it as if shes talking to an idiot) as she sees me rifling through my wallet to get my card. Duhhh, I thought you had psychic money transfer powers. Who puts these people in charge? They have no control of thier crew, and dont teach young workers professionalism. They think they are home instead of a customer service environment. THIS WENDYS IS GOD SENT FROM THE HEAVENS!!!!! Ok, I came in through the drive thru august 13th for a late night meal. I ordered a #9 with no cheese and it even said no cheese on the screen. I pull up to the first window to pay for the food and me and the employee must have had a moment. The employee must have realized I didn't need any fatty foods so I can stick to my regiment of eating healthier. By the time I pull to the next window that same employee must have sent out the alert to everybody. I grabbed my food and drove back to my house to devour my burger and fries. BUT!!! By the true grace and watchful Wendy's there was cheese on my burger so I couldn't eat none of it. Plus the fries were cold (I live 5 minutes away) and taste awful.
