Getting the to start the work was a chore and getting them to finish was even worse. I did the legwork for the purchase of the stones and the design work with the stone yard and I had to layout which stones went there for the crew. A few of the stones were chipped and some were stained, the crew left them as they were, I had to buy the stain cleaner and do it myself. The sand was not even in all areas and they filled an asphalt hole the made with sand instead of asphalt as we had agreed. I asked for edging around the walkway at the end of the project because I thought it looked nice, it looked like they used scrap pieces they had around the shop. I had complained about the crew being on the phone and taking long lunches and got a sympathetic ear from the owner but was charged with extra labor time. There is more but I guess this paints the picture,

I had some other mystery bush that was an eyesore as well. Well, when I called DeMore they called me right back and came out for an estimate right away. The other landscape companies I contacted weren't very responsive and gave me a much higher quote. I thought about going to Home Dept, renting a chipper, figuring out how to work my chainsaw, etc... then I got the quote from DeMore. Why deal with all the hassle when I could have a certified arborist do the job for around the same price or cheaper? (I didn't actually price out HD, but it should've been close) Plus he identified my mystery (mock orange) bush. The best part was I left for work in the morning and when I came home all my bush/shrubs were gone! Only a little bit of sawdust remained. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs tree work done!

I had seen my friend's yard which always looked impeccable. I called Rui and he came to my home on his day off. He took a look around and was able to give me an estimate that fit within my budget. A day later he arrived and set to work. He was professional, careful and courteous. His equipment was in good working order and he had a professional appearance. After a few hours he was finishing up and I looked over his work and was astounded. My "conservation meadow" was a lawn again. He gave me advice on further care for the lawn and told me he'd follow up on me with a couple of problem areas in the yard. I can't say enough how much he impressed me, his hard work, his attention to detail and his honesty is what makes me have to recommend him if you need a great landscaper. I still have work to do on my own, but he has gotten me off to a great start and offered great advice to getting a great yard when I'm done.

Company representatives Patrick Quinn and Thomas Stokes indicated that the company is expanding…read moreinto Maryland. They subcontracted with DAG Construction. The project included: removal and replacement of 2 outside stairs, replacement of approx 20 feet of walkway with keystone, replacement of 40 feet of sidewalk with concrete, repointing red brick façade to approximately 3 feet above grade, repair of 3 small leaks noted at roof, and water proofing the basement by providing a below grade concrete skirt around 3/4 of the house. Waterproofing of the basement has not been effective. Visual exam of the exterior would indicate incomplete or unprofessional finishing of the exterior skirt at several locations which would be contributory to the leaking. Of the 3 leak spots of the roof, only 1 was effectively repaired, and an additional leak proximal to a previously noted chimney location has developed. Quinn and Thomas were notified by phone and promised a visit in two weeks. No show, no phone call. Subsequent phone calls (plural) and emails to the main office, Quinn/Stokes, and Dan of DAG have not been returned. Although Quinn explicitly stated several times satisfaction guaranteed, it should be recognized that the issue is efficacy, not aesthetics. Legal action will be necessitated, unfortunately.

I hired Mike Burke Landscaping this past spring to hydro seed my lawn. I waited for more than a…read moremonth and followed all watering procedures as directed, large areas of lawn did not show any grass. I suspect the two teenagers who prepared the ground did not do an adequate job or not enough seed was applied, or both. I sent Mike Burke a picture of the lawn and asked him to stop by to see if anything could be done or additional seed put down. He agreed, but never showed up. Weeks passed and I got the usual run around. After I finally got a hold of him it was July and he agreed to reseed at the end of August. When that time came, I purchased the seed, but multiple attempts to get Mike Burke to even stop by have failed. One of his text messages read: "For short money how am I going to come back for free. Don't bother me". I ended up reseeding the lawn myself. In short, Mike Burke does not stand behind his work at all. He is condescending and his word means absolutely nothing. Landscaping is not a perfect science, but there should be some level of professionalism. Hopefully people reading this and considering hiring Mike Burke Landscaping will learn from my experience.

Chuck and his crew have done two significant jobs at my home in Norwell. We have had Chuck's…read morecompany install irrigation on a 1 acre lot and at the same time create a landscape for the front yard which included a huge field stone rock wall; a year later, they returned to install a rather large brick patio which incorporated large slabs of granite, laid granite curbing, and created beds where they planted three trees around the newly laid patio. First and foremost, Chuck and his crew are always polite, respectful and patient with their clients needs and desires. They listen and offer great advice when it's needed. Chuck came to us with an amazing design for our front yard, but when we realized we didn't have quite enough money to do the entire job, he reworked the whole plan to accommodate our wishes and our budget. Second, they keep the work site neat, orderly, and clean as expected--even with all the dirt, gravel, brick dust, they did their best to keep it away and off the house. Big plus, they don't leave a single piece of trash behind. Anyone who has built a house knows builders tend to leave bits of trash everywhere. Not Nessralla's! Third, their work is impeccable! They laid thousands (!) of Boston City Hall pavers on our patio. At one point, I saw them pick up and reposition a huge section because the "line wasn't quite right." They even came back and popped some of the granite sections to realign them because Chuck didn't want anyone to stub a toe! The landscaping material they brought us was above expectations. Our trees and shrubs are over a year old and they are in excellent health. Even several weeks after Chuck finished the 1st job last August, we caught him "checking" on the plants and grass periodically. Next year we plant to expand our landscape and the only crew we will have in our yard is Nessralla. Chuck and his crew ALWAYS go above and beyond.

I originally was using…read moreanother company, but after several communication issues and a ridiculously high price I decided to shop around. I had several other companies come out to the house to offer a price quote and get some ideas but decided to go with Nessralla's. Chuck Nessralla, the owner, pointed out several ways I could cut back on the original company's price quote while still accomplishing what I wanted to have done. In the end, the price he gave me was significantly cheaper and even included a walkway and patio that was not in the other company's quote. I was a little nervous that the decrease in price would mean a decrease in quality, but nothing could be worse than what I had already gone through. To say my apprehension was unwarranted would be a huge understatement. Nessralla's installed a new lawn, an irrigation system, a patio, a walkway, and a beautiful planting all in under two weeks. The attention to detail was amazing, I am happy to say that I now have the best looking yard on the street. What really impressed me about this company was the fact that Chuck was there every step of the way. He personally graded the property, set up the foundation for the patio and walkway, designed the planting, and could be found on the job every day his workers were there. I paid to have my parent's house landscaped several years ago and cannot remember seeing the owner on site ounce after our initial meeting. One month later and the lawn looks like a carpet, all of my plants are healthy but are even covered under a warranty in case one of them does not make it. I could not recommend Nessralla's Landscape enough. If I ever decide to move again they will be the only company I call.
