Laziest Bankers in USA. Take your money elsewhere! I am withdrawing everything after today's experience. Teller had me wait for a Banker to send a small wire overseas. After waiting 2p minutes, listening to him chatting away about everything but business, the walks into the break room, comes back to tell me, he can't help me. Wells Fargo is otherwise sketchy financial institution, but the ATM worked properly though it was covered in bugs

I've been a patron of this bank for nearly eight years. In the past few months it has become my main Wells Fargo to conduct business at. The location is conveniently located in the heart of Pearl Street. It's just a block away from the bus station, and steps away from a parking lot which they provide 30 minute validation for when you come in to bank (which can be a lifesaver if you drive downtown and have another quick errand or two to run after the bank). The interior was renovated a year or so back and I must say I preferred the way it used to be (meeting areas with bankers felt more private and secure) to the way it is now (super open and airy). Also, they used to make complimentary popcorn. I really miss that! I've always found the staff to be friendly and courteous with many speaking both English and Spanish. Overall I've had good experiences here. They've always been able to secure currency for my international adventures and lend a friendly smile when I've been having a rough day. read more

Why can't we give 0 stars? This place is horrible! My branch in CT was so good and this place is the opposite. I make an appointment and I wait 30 minutes, I walk in and I wait 30 minutes only to be told in a snarky tone to 'make an appointment', call and the branch doesn't accept calls or go into the branch to talk to a mortgage specialist only to be told that the branch doesn't have mortgage specialists but one will call from another branch - of course over a week later I'm still waiting! read more

This bank building is an historical bank building on the Pearl St Mall. It has transitioned through 4 different bank ownerships since I have been in Boulder and my account has been there since it was United Bank. It has been the Boulder flagship location of each bank company including the current Wells Fargo. I have always had excellent service here, including now as Wells Fargo. Parking is easy as they have their own gate controlled lot, accessed from 13th St. and parking validation inside the lobby. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service. I was there FOUR times to do something very simple like change cash for quarters & they still weren't able to do it. My fiance has an account with them, we've tried changing it before and he has never been asked for his account. The time I try to do it they won't stop asking me if I have one. Me and my husband came in for a car loan last month into this branch. We both have accounts with WF, some little savings on them, and we both have constant income. We work for CU Boulder. Our credit scores are in "Good" range. Yet, WF was not able to give us a loan motivating it with that we are not US citizens and we do not have visas long enough for the loan duration. My H1b permit is valid for 20 month and we asked for 24-month loan. I will extend my status but I can not do it before 3 months until the current visa expiration. My husband's visa is for 33 more months. To add insult to injury, the person we worked with (Megan is her first name) was completely ignoring my calls and called back my husband instead of me. She never answered 2 my emails that I have sent her, not even acknowledging she got them! I do not know what I have to do to get her attention. My husband really dislikes bureaucracy and would agree with her and not argue at all. I had completely different experience with WF in Los Angeles where we lived before moving to Boulder. They were very friendly and helpful there: helped us with starting our credit history from zero at the times when we first moved from Europe to US. Totally disappointed with this Boulder branch though. We got our loan in the different place, but that the bank we used for years rejected us for a stupid reason and did not show any signs of wiliness to help, this really hurts! read more

Wells Fargo - pearl street. This was not the best experience here. The line was 10 deep and they had two tellers running things. Meanwhile, they have 6 (by my count) employees walking around or standing in huddles talking amongst themselves. They occasionally come ask how your day is, but they won't actually offer to help you. These people are more than qualified to handle deposits and withdrawals, but I'm sure it's below their pay grade... Very nice people, but they could be more service oriented and willing to do whatever to help the customers. read more

Best Bank in Boulder in my opinion. Outstanding customer service and very friendly tellers. This is the old fashioned bank where they take the time to be interested in theri customers lives. I know all the tellers very well know after banking there for just one year. They are not 100% perfect and have made a couple of errors with my checking account, once depositing my money into the wrong account and once they debited a check twice to my account, but in both cases they took care of it immediately and I really do enjoy going to the bank. They also have excellent free coffee. read more

Worst Banking Experience of my Life. I was with Wells Fargo for nearly 20 years, in Boulder, CO for most of that time, and didn't have any major problems for a long time. However, in the last while before I left the bank, I had a whole series of problems with Wells Fargo and every attempt they made to correct their mistakes led to even larger problems, ending in me receiving a phone call from a collections agency about an account that Wells Fargo was supposed to have closed. The account had a zero balance when I closed it. The bank employees were exceptionally unhelpful to me when I wanted to resolve this. The problems started small. I had trouble closing a travel account. Time consuming but not a big deal. Next, I opened a business checking account with Wells Fargo and the banker I opened the account with put the wrong address on the account. Several phone calls and a trip to the branch later, it seemed like nobody at Wells Fargo understood the very simple request of taking this address off of my account because they kept simply moving it to different accounts. This was a major problem later on. I ordered two checkbooks, one for my business account and one for my personal account and they were both lost in the mail. The business account checkbook was sent to the wrong address (the same wrong address I had removed from the account several times). Wells Fargo didn't have tracking information for either checkbook and the checkbooks had all my bank account information on them so I had to close the accounts since whoever received the checks would have access to my bank accounts. I was without checks or a debit card until they sent me new ones (the new checks never arrived), and I had to redo all my online banking, automatic payments that I have set up, etc. Irritating, but still not the end of the world. The process of closing accounts and opening new accounts got messy and it took several trips into a branch to sort it out. However, I was assured that the old accounts were closed (not just frozen) and that no charges could be drawn from the closed accounts. I was also assured that my checks for the new accounts would arrive very soon. A couple of weeks later, no checks had arrived and I got a phone call from the Wells Fargo collections agency saying that my business checking account was overdrawn. I had just been online looking at the account that morning and it had plenty of cash in it. I finally figured out that she was talking about my old account - the one that was supposed to be closed. She also had the wrong address for that account - the same wrong address I'd removed from the account quite a few times already. Not only did Wells Fargo leave this account open (and associated with the wrong address) after they had assured me the account was closed, but they did not contact me to say the account was overdrawn. They went directly to a collections agency and now my credit could be affected. At this point, I called the banker, Kelly Hogan, who had set up the business account for me and I left him a message explaining the situation and asking for help. I also informed him that the new checks had not yet arrived for either account. He never called me back. That was the last straw for me. I never received the new checkbooks. When I tried to transfer money from Wells Fargo to my new bank, all my accounts were frozen and so was my access to log in to Wells Fargo online. They supposedly thought the transfer was fraudulent but I had done the online and text verification to prove that they weren't so this shouldn't have happened. When I went in to close out my accounts and try to resolve the overdrawn account, I explained all of this to the manager I spoke with, Christina Rodriguez. I literally had no access to any money at the bank and was already completely fed up with Wells Fargo before that happened. However, I was not rude, simply very upset. The manager looked at me like she couldn't understand what I was upset about and flatly refused to give any sort of apology for any of this. I have to say that sometimes taking ownership for mistakes and giving an apology can go a very long way - I know she was not personally responsible (and I did express that to her), but as a manager, I might have expected she would apologize on behalf of the bank. Finally, she refused to refund the overdraw fee for the account that I had closed. If you're considering Wells Fargo, my advice is to run the other way and never look back, especially if you are considering opening business accounts with them. read more

wells fargo is horrible. i have been a good customer for a few years now and this past month they have hit me with 20 nsf fees. you are correct wells fargo, the overdrafts were not banking errors but they were banking stupidity. i have 7 nsf fees from a 1.17 transaction that they kept reversing even though my account always goes negative and they usually pay the amount with the 35 fee. no problem there but when i get charges 7 times for the same 1.17 transaction that you could have just paid and saved me hundreds of dollars in fees. i also have direct deposit set up which i will be canceling and probably going to Bank of the West being as wells fargo will not revese all these fees which are a directly making my bank account negative. thanks wells fargo i won't be able to feed my family or put gas in my car t=for the next week. never get a wells fargo account read more

Have to bank here for work and, must say, over the years it has gotten more difficult to work with them. Aside from the multitude of fees they impose for just about anything you need to use a bank for, they don't seem to understand what customer service is about. Greeting you as you enter and leave the building isn't necessary in my book, yet they seem to think that's great customer service. Fixing their errors becomes a part time job as they immediately take money from your account without contacting you first to see if their mistake can be rectified. Then when you call to get it fixed giving them all the information they should already have, they tell you it will take 5 business days to "research" before anything can be done. In effect, at will they are able to withhold your rightful funds making you do the research to see where their error may have occurred. My suggestion is to RUN, not walk, to your nearest credit union where they truly know customer service and efficient banking! read more
