I was here to pay off a loan that was refinanced by my credit union and it seemed easier to just walk the check in than to send it off to a PO Box somewhere. When I walked in there was a greeter asking the reason for my visit, and when I explained, I was walked over to the line to speak to a teller. I think the teller might have been in training, because the young man behind her quickly stepped in to help with my somewhat unusual request. Then he involved the guy at the drive-up. To make a long story short, several people got involved in the transaction I needed to have done because it was out of the ordinary, but throughout the whole thing, everyone had a smile on their face and seemed happy to help find me the answer. They invited me to have a seat in their cozy lobby while they figured things out. In summary, I give the folks at this branch four stars for the amount of service they gave and their professional demeanor and positive attitude. Wells Fargo Bank itself probably deserves one star for the fact that they're a money-grubbing bank who fees its customers to death, but we'll leave that out of it for now and lean towards the employees at this branch who give amazing customer service. If it wasn't for the red tape they had to wade through to make the transaction happen, they would have gotten a solid 5.

Avoid this branch at all costs-they will leave you to wait and wait - even three employees putting their heads together cannot manage a simple task. Today was sort of the last straw with this branch: I was told by the blond lady in a red jacket that they would be right with me, which was fine. However, instead of helping me (there were many people behind the counter and I was the only person in line), one of the employees was dismissed (she clocked out and left the bank) and the red jacket ignored me and turned to another task. If you go to the downtown branch, the tellers are far more professional. If you need help with premier checking matters, it's probably best to go directly through your broker or switch to another bank altogether.

Wells Fargo has had some real problems with their national reputation lately but I have never had…read moreany problems locally. In fact, at the main location in Boulder, I have worked with a personal banker for several years who is probably the best I have dealt with at any bank, in decades. But the main location downtown on Pearl is not so easy to use for convenient quick access. However, Wells Fargo recently closed the convenience banking, drive up and ATM location near my home that I have used for decades. And sold the property. So it was time to research and find a new such location from their multiple other sites in town. I tried a few and this one turned out to be the best for me. The first two I tried were not satisfactory for me for various reasons, location access, my travel patterns and staff friendliness. This location was a good fit. It's right between Target and Trader Joe's, where I go all the time though quite a bit farther from home than my long term location. It's easy to park and use the ATM. And for a few items, I have needed to step in and use the tellers and I was immediately greeted, no lines at the tellers and everyone was friendly. And a bright clean decor. So this is the one for now.

I am extremely disappointed with Elevation Credit Union…read more My vehicle was repossessed yesterday, and I made a good-faith effort to immediately pay my past-due payments. Instead of working with me or offering any reasonable solution, they refused to accept my late payments and demanded the full balance -- something that is simply impossible given today's economic conditions. On top of that, communication has been very poor. Many times the bank is closed, understaffed, or does not have proper personnel available to assist customers. It is very difficult to get clear answers or timely help when you need it the most. Right now, many financial institutions are working with their customers and offering options during these difficult times. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I was willing and ready to resolve my account, but no opportunity was given. I expected better customer service, communication, and understanding from a credit union that claims to support its members. I would not recommend this institution or do business with them based on my experience. I will also be supporting upcoming laws in the State of Colorado that aim to bring more fairness and accountability to repossession practices, as situations like this highlight the need for better consumer protections. I hope they improve how they treat customers facing temporary hardship, because situations like this only make things worse for people trying to do the right thing.

Their parking lot is huge and there are tons of shaded spots. Don't have time to walk in - use their drive through. There are frequently two staff members sitting near the front door to help guide you to your appointment or teller. Tellers are friendly and helpful (Rosa is my favorite) and their beverage machine is top notch. You can make anything from a flavored seltzer water, to a dove chocolate hot cocoa, to an espresso or tea. The machine actually suggested I ramp up my hot cocoa to a peppermint one - and suggested I add some peppermint tea - how creative. They are highly involved with the community sponsoring outdoor movie viewings and guiding you along through the seasons. Today I saw a map and guide for fall leaf peeping that even included suggested stops for food and shopping along the route. If you are looking for a place to hold your money or request money for a big purchase (ask for Chris Cullen - he's the best loan officer around) definitely check them out!
