But generally, when I have a question they're professional and when I need cash, their network of ATM's is second to none and their online banking product has been nearly flawless for years. While I'm never going to buy into their Smartphone banking product ERICA for some very obvious security concerns and my reluctance to download my life into my easily lost or damaged phone... it is what it is. For now, the bank bores me with essential competence and that's probably a good thing. Four solid stars.

What I do know is that JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon isn't stupid and has accumulated more wealth than many small countries by being an astute contrarian. Maybe cash isn't quite dead yet and having tellers and physical branches in new places as regional banks retrench does wonders for lobbying efforts in their heavily regulated industry.
