I joined Affinity many years ago through a past employer. My experience has been terrific - and my local branch in Flemington has been great. We have several accounts with AFCU. The people are pleasant, help you work through any challenge. Their loan process was a little slow, but it was thorough and had great rates. I also have visited and worked with teams in Warren and Piscataway and found all to be great locations with pretty happy employees. And that means a good customer experience overall. read more

I visited the credit union in Piscataway. I was disappointed on my second visit. My mother recently passed away and I needed to close her account. When greeted the associate / clerk she did not introduce herself. I had to ask her name. After finding out my mother has a credit card balance that needs to be satisfied. ..my dad and I decided not to open an account there. The associate didn't try to encourage that we reconsider and join. It was like we were not important. ..and no words of condolence. ..just surprised and disappointed. read more

Hands down the best credit union in NJ. They are personable, understanding, and loyal. They care more about their members than about making a profit, and will always hear you out about fees that you feel should be reversed - and they will usually take care of you by reversing them. Also, their interest rates and policies are some of the best in the area. Best bank ever. read more

Where do I start. Do you thin Dee Federal Credit Union in Flemington New Jersey is God awful. Incompetence starts from the manager and works its way down to the tellers. I've been dealing with them for approximately 2 years and it gets worse and worse at this branch. Mistake after mistake after mistake and they have attitudes that it's the customer's fault and in reality mismanaged and hiring the wrong employees that don't care about their customers. I am 60 yrs old, have owned 5 homes and done business with many financial institutions. Affinity Credit Union has the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with! Service is slow, employees are rude, and they do not do business in an honest manner. My husband and I have excellent credit and were approved for a 30yr fixed rate mortgage without escrowing our taxes. 2 weeks before the closing Affinity sent us an email stating that they changed their mind and were approving us for a flexible rate mortgage and we had to escrow taxes. Too late to shop for another mortgage, we were stuck. When I tried to fight this, the attitude that I was given was "tough luck, we can do this if we want to". We kept the mortgage for 3yrs and paid it off and closed our accounts in the Spring of 2016. I had to go to the bank to get my mortgage tax document and change our address in their records today. They were beyond rude. I cannot believe this credit union is still in business. I will never enter this business again and highly recommend avoiding them. read more

A one star rating is even too generous for this bank. This is the worst bank in Hunterdon County. The service staff and manager are extremely rude. They provide inaccurate information and when questioned about the inaccuracies they turn it around to be something that you misheard. They offer no apologies for mistakes and treat their clients horribly. I can't wait to sever my ties with this organization. read more
