We were in a pinch, both my wife and I got badly ill over New Year's holiday weekend and could t get in to see anyone. We did a WellNow virtual visit per our BlueCross Blueshield of IL plan and we're happy with the results. We got the antibiotics we needed and the registered nurse assistant covered our health concerns well. We were better with in days. First thing. How can you refuse treatment without paying at time of service? Then they say according to my insurance, my copay is $65.00. I will be checking this out with my insurance. The online registration is a joke! I went there because I was having trouble breathing. I thought either Covid or Pneumonia. They took an EGK. Tech acted like this was the first time he administered this test. Ideally I needed an X-Ray. They did not have anyone there that day. They wanted me to go to yet another location. Mind you I don't drive and would need to Uber. What if I had a sprain or broken ankle? No X-Ray? The office experience is always unpleasant and difficult. The process of filling out your information online is a waste of time then have you do the same thing in person. The receptionist was untrustworthy and said that it is common for them to hold your ID in the process of waiting to be seen which makes no sense to me. In this era of social engineered data collection why are they holding the ID AFTER they scanned it? Setting up an appointment means nothing as you will still encounter a wait time of an hour or more. Avoid them if you can for doing drug or physical tests. They will disappoint you. read more

I visited the Evergreen Park location with a bad respiratory bug. Even though I made an appt. I waited an hour to be seen. They were very understaffed. There was no diagnosis other than "unspecified cough" and I left with a cough suppressant prescription that turned out to be useless. I had to come back the next morning for a chest xray that I couldn't get at the initial visit because it was too late in their hours to get the technician in to do xrays. It's been 2 days and I still haven't gotten a call with results. Their web site has no place where I can submit a complaint. Things got worse yesterday and I had to go to the ER, where I was diagnosed with flu AND pneumonia and got antibiotics prescribed. I don't think the provider at WellNow swabbed my nose thoroughly enough to pick up on the flu that at already been raging for 2 days when I visited there - and was already waning by the time I was tested at the ER. read more

My instinct when I saw the handwritten note saying that they had no working x-ray machine. Then she didn't test for Covid since she said I tested negative at home two and a half weeks ago. She didn't test for RSV and prescribed two meds, an antibiotic and a cough medicine. Then yesterday I felt worse and called my after hours Doctor's number, and after testing my oxygen levels and finding them at 78, 81 & and 83, she recommended I call an ambulance and head to an ER. Yesterday I visited urgent care to treat yeast I received an additional medication that did not pertain to me nor my needs I was prescribed a medication for Herpes when calling to inform the urgent care no manager or supervisor was on site Asia the representative said that there was a system issue that generated the wrong medication to me this is embarrassing and malpractice. I iniured my ankle and I went to urgent care to get an X-ray. The desk clerk told me the visit cost $175 and includes xrays. I prepaid the amount due and got my xrays and left the urgent care. Later I got A bill in the mail for $150. I called and asked whats it for and billing told me it's for X-rays. I told them that impossible because I already paid for them. It's listed on the website that X-rays are included and the staff at well now says that X-rays are included. I have proof and evidence. I will never pay for this fake nonsense bill they sent me. I scheduled an appointment on 5/4/24 for a sore throat and congestion. I expressed to the nurse practitioner that I felt the sickness coming on and I wanted to get ahead of it bc I work in the school system. She proceeded to misdiagnose me, she said that it was my allergies and to get some Claritin D! Fast forward to 5/6/24 I went to another wellnow clinic bc my symptoms had gotten significantly worse after purchasing allergy medication for what I knew wasn't allergies and low and behold I not only have a sinus infection but I also have bronchitis. I don't know who's reading this but DO YOUR JOB! That misdiagnosis could've put so many people at risk. You all really need to start taking time to evaluate your patients thoroughly. This is an update. I contacted the actual well now location and it was expressed that the manager would contact me. Still hasn't and that now it was because of my copay and deductible. I've never had to pay a copay and deductible at time of service only a copay. I asked to speak with a manager and of course they took my info. She said she was looking my info up but instead of verifying my phone number she asked for my number. I called spoke with the young lady who lied to me at the counter. She advised me that she was the one who gave me the information and that she was surprised that I wasn't charged $105! No one there seems to know how to simply verify insurance and charge the copay! I am out rage as my insurance has finally sent me the explanation of benefits and my copay should have only been $25. It should be called WellNever. This is the nearest clinic to my home. I drove myself in with flulike symptoms because there was no one else to drive me. I was told that the wait would be 1.5 hours for me to be seen remotely. And that there was no one on the premises who could administer medications, not even anything for pain. And that, if I didn't like it, I could go to another location. With a fever, body pain, and barely able to stand...oookayyy. Why were they even open if they cannot help suffering people? What is it that they actually DO in there? What were the two receptionists there for? ("Hi, in 1.5 hours, we'll admit you into a dead end..?") Why were they even open? My last visit at Wellnow was horrible. I can in for drug screening appointment at about 2:10pm 10/25/23. I didn't leave the clinic until approximately 3:35pm. I have previously used Wellnow for my drug testing appointments and my visits were always less than 20 minutes. The lady at the front desk Adelina Franklin was so rude and condescending to me that I still shaken up about it. When I entered the clinic, she yelled at me over the counter several times to ask me if I had an appointment. I told her no I was there for drug testing and I had an order with the wellnow barcode on it and I was told I don't need an appointment. I informed her that I had spoken with a representative from the office the day before. Adelia then instructed me to register on the kiosk. After registering on the kiosk, I set in the lobby for about 30 minutes waiting to be called. As I listened to Adelia and the other front desk clerk gossip for about 30 minutes. I walked to the receptionist desk to ask the two how much longer it would be because I had to urgently urinate. I asked if I could have a cup to urinate now because I was there for a urine drug screen. Adelia stood up and pointed to the restroom. She then used a condescending tone to tell me that I could go to the restroom now before my urine test and then she would give me a bottle of water and I can wait in the lobby and so I can pee again when called for my turn to test. How asinine is it to tell somebody who is there for a urine drug screen to urinate right before a urine test. I informed Adelia again that I need to urgently urinate and if was to urinate now I would be able to go again right after. I informed her that it would likely take me a couple hours to urinate again. She asked me rudely to have a seat. It would only be a couple more minutes before I was able to test. She explained. I sat in the lobby for another 20 minutes holding my pee. I approached the front desk again and asked Adelia if they were ready as I couldn't hold it any longer. She made the same asinine remark to me. I already told you. You can go to the bathroom now and I will give you a bottle of water and you can sit in the lobby until you can use the bathroom again. I responded to her by saying I will not be able to pee again for the next couple hours and the clinic stops your drug screens at 5 PM and this is the last day that my order is good from my employer to test at Wellnow. I asked if there was any accommodations that could be made in this situation given the fact that I was here for a urine test and I had to urgently Pee. I asked if she could ask another colleague to help her since she was running behind or if she could ask the person in front of me for testing if I could test before them. Maybe the other patient would not mind it someone test in front of them. She proceeded to yell at me and tell me "no that is not how things are done here. The only thing I can tell you is you can't wait in the lobby or you can pee now and try to pee later for the test, that's the best I can do for you." Needless to say, I was very upset at this point. However, I sat back in the lobby for an additional 30 minutes until Adelia called me for testing. Once I was brought back into the testing area and given forms to sign. I over heard Adelia bragging to another employee that she is not used to having to do more than one drug screen a day, and that she is used to being spoiled here. And she is surprised that she had more than a couple drug screens to do that day. I was furious at the whole experience that I had and wellnow. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone I know. The patient care I received was unacceptable and not in line with WellNow's mission statement that you have on your website. I hope that this review finds the right person and someone is able to rectify the issue that I had. As patient care should always come first at any urgent care. Reasonable accommodations should be available to patients who visit the clinic. As it is an industry standards to do so in healthcare. Over hour and a half just to get a urine drug screen is really unacceptable. I have been tested there before in the past and I never had to experience such a rude, condescending, and arrogant employee or such a long wait time. Patient care just shouldn't be like this. The receptionist at this location (dark skin with dreadlocks) very rude and unprofessional. I was seen today and wanted to make a complaint about my services but she refused to give me her name or a corporate phone number. She even began shouting at me to leave in front of the entire waiting room filled with guest, when I complained about her poor behavior. This has always been my go to location and I've always had great experiences with staff here but after today I will no longer recommend or visit. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!! Iwent in for an ankle injury after taking a serious fall. While waiting to be seen I could hear the entire staff joke about burning a room after a patient who had chest pains was serviced. They laughed and joked loudly and the patient was still in the lobby. After being sent out with crutches and no meds ( still don't understand this because I'm in some serious pain) , I hopped my way to the car to see this patient who was clearly having trouble breathing standing outside in the cold waiting for a ride. The staff was completely unprofessional. We are in tough times and we come to get quality services. It is not that they are not efficient, they are very efficient. I was disappointed in the communications and customer service. I was really feeling bad from a rash I developed, I wasn't sure if it was from my first Covid shot or something I had eaten. I arrive at 8:30, they took me right in but not before I paid the last bill, which I knew I had from my previous visit and my insurance did not cover it completely, ( no problem). But they would not see me unless I paid the current visit . On the efficiency I give them 4, good communications 2. I was escorted to the exam room and a very nice young lady took my vitals and exchanged pleasantries,-communication 5. I am sure she gave me her name, but I did forget it . The nurse walked in, no introduction, I informed her that I had the COVID shot. she did not look or actually touch my area with gloves, and diagnosed it was either, and gave me an option of a shot or pills. She was very thorough with explaining the medication options and side effects. However, there was an initial coldness, nothing said about whether she was a nurse partitioner or a physician and I am not sure she even addressed me by my name. My first visit was. much more pleasant with the exchange from the physician, they even offered me water and crackers for the delayed wait because of a surge in visits. Nurse Jennifer, which I found out her name because I asked, was on the mark with providing the care. I give them 4 stars for convenience and 3 for communications/customer service. Nurse Jennifer smile, look me in the eyes, ask me my name and introduce yourself... I won's bite unless you do first. My last beef is why do I have to take a prescription into the pharmacy and wait when they can phone it in, for the money I paid... again bad customer service 2. I would like to give zero stars for the location in Evergreen Park but I have to give at least one. I had a horrible experience here. I went to have a drug test done for my employer on 2/26/24. I called that morning to confirm what time I could come for drug testing. The woman on the phone said that they conduct drug testing until 5:30pm. I arrived at 4:45pm and was told to register on my phone by the lady at the front desk. When I tried to register , the system said there were no available slots. I informed the woman at the front desk and she said to wait a few minutes or until a couple of patients that were waiting are called to the back because that should open up slots. Well I literally kept trying to register for 15 minutes straight as patients were being called to the back and still no available slots. People came in after me and were having the same issue. I went back to the front desk and told the lady what was going on. She said she wasn't sure why we couldn't register but they had the same problem earlier that day with system. She explained that there are only so many slots available and that they must've been full. But she didn't know why they weren't opening up as patients were being called to the back. So I asked what am I supposed to do because I needed to have my drug test completed and if there was a way for them to manually register me. She said there was nothing she could do on her end at all. And maybe I could come back the next day. I explained to her that I left work early to come there and would not be coming back there to potentially be turned away again. I asked for a manager and I was told there wasn't one on site. So the lady at the front desk called a manager or someone in charge and told her what was going on and she basically said the same thing. There's nothing that can be done without me being registered and they can't manually register me. She then asked for my information and said she would give me a call. Honestly there is no need for her call because there's nothing that can be done at this point. The woman at the front desk was very nice and I told her that I knew it wasn't her fault but that's it's ridiculous that there is no way for them to register people manually at their computers. There were people that ended up leaving because they couldn't register at a walk in facility. And honestly, people who are there for employer related things should be a separated registration from patients who are there for illness related things. I would never recommend or go to this facility ever again because it's unprofessional to turn people away. They completely wasted my time and my money (because I left work early) going there. The worst customer service I've ever experience! I went to WellNow in December and the NP Nicole W. had no shred of empath. She treated me like an object. Fast forward to March, I received a lab bill from Quest Diagnostics to my surprise I was billed for 5 test when I should've only been billed for 1! Not only did Nicole have test performed that I didn't authorize she had the most expensive test performed! I contacted Quest and they told me any discrepancies in billing I would have to contact WellNow so they can remove it out of the system. March 15th, I contacted the location and talked to the manager Lydia R about the situation. Lydia had to tell me all the test performed and stated that Nicole put it in as a verbal consent. I've never been to WellNow and they don't give you reading information about everything that was discussed in your discharge papers. Lydia agreed and tried to rectify the situation but couldn't, so it had to be escalated up to her manager, Haneen D. Haneen was supposed to call me, but she never did. I had to constantly call WellNow to speak to Lydia because she is the only person that I could get in contact with. Lydia kept telling me she informed her manager and that she sent multiple emails to Haneen. Haneen was supposed to get the unauthorized tests remove. Now we are in the month of April, I received a second notice from Quest. The issue is still not resolved and Haneen is about to go on vacation for 3 weeks. Surely it will be resolved before she leaves.....WRONG! So since Haneen is gone and this issue has been going on for a month. I emailed Haneen's manger, Amanda M. on April 18th. Amanda never replied. Now I had to wait until Haneen returned on April 30th. I went to the location to speak to Haneen and she gave me little apology and then instructed me to email Lydia my bills. Haneen told me she would get the unauthorized test removed. I emailed Haneen May 3rd requesting an update because now I received a third notice from Quest, no reply. I contacted Lydia, she had no update. I emailed Haneen a second time on May 13th, I CC'ed Amanda and Lydia, same result no reply. I've been extremely patient and respectful during this whole ordeal, but no respect has been given to me! No one is following up with me! This issue has been ongoing since March 15th and now it's May 15th and my issue is still not resolved! This is not what customer service should be! My significant other visited well care last night because he had some eye irritation that could have been caused by firework powder/embers. We arrived at 5 and were informed immediately by reception it would be a 2 hour wait and we could wait in the car for a text when it was our turn. There were 2 people in the lobby-wasn't crowded. Around 6 I saw staff vacuuming and wiping chairs. We never received a text but checked the registration kiosk and it said we were next so we went in. Daisy G was very helpful informed us our appointment was canceled and assisted us in reregistering. A second staff member comes in and tells Daisy to check with Dr. before re-registering us. Daisy comes back informs us that the Dr suggested we go to emergency room. He never came out or saw the patient. I asked if it was too late to be seen. It's 6:56. Other staff member says it's up to the Dr's discretion- that they have alot of paperwork to do and he is only seeing appointments-no walk ins. Dr Paul West comes out because I'm professionally making a scene because I'm inquiring why we couldn't be seen being it's still open and no one is in there but us. He explains because of the type of injury he can't assist us. When we arrived we stated the issue and weren't told we couldn't be serviced. I assume because it's an hour before closing they just wanted us to leave so they could close up early. Dr West was quite smug. When I asked for his name he points to his shirt and says I can take a picture if I wanted of his name. I thanked him for his service and help saving lives. He said he wouldn't say that's what he does. I explained that it would've alleviated our frustration if we had been notified up front he couldn't be seen if had at least looked at his eye. Dr. West informs me that is why he was talking to me about it now- 2 hours after waiting and not being seen. I asked Dr. West if I was a victim of a serious wound and needed medical attention would he assist me. He said he'd tell me to go to the ER. I just wanted quality care for my significant other. After this experience I know I'd get actual help if I'm able to go to the nearest hospital instead. Please note it was eye irritation- not a firework stuck in his eye. Thank God it wasn't because Dr. West made it clear he wouldn't have attempted to examine him. I forgot the name of the other staff member who was rude from the start. Interesting enough everytime I asked a question she'd refute her answer after informing her I was writing what she said down. She was hesitant in giving her name and Dr. Wests'. She was very thorough however in taking the time to pull up our original registration to inform us that we received 3 texts (and note the times of the texts) before his appointment was canceled. We were sitting in front of the doorway in our car. Found out that we didn't know we had gotten the texts because they went to his spam inbox. Customer service goes a long way! I would happily like to speak to a business manager because this is unacceptable. read more

My son and I went to the clinic on Christmas Eve at 10:30. They opened at 9 and would not allow online appointments to be booked nor were they answering the phone. It went to a voicemail message and you could not speak to a person. So we just went in. I was concerned my son had strep and didn't want to give it to anyone at Christmas. I figured I had an ear infection and needed to get drops for it. We had 4 people in front of us when we got there. It took 4 hours to get back into a room and be seen! Once back in the room I was given ear drops and told they'd be right back to flush out my ear. After 10 minutes I went out to find someone and that's when they came back in. My som was negative for both flu and strep and I did have an ear infection as I suspected! The PA who saw us was very nice and apologized for the wait but besides him it was a TERRIBLE experience!! Front desk and the medical assistant were great. After getting called to the back is where it went downhill. I walked in at 6:52pm and left at 8:39pm after the NP forgot about me. I walked out of the room and see the staff cleaning up for closing and noticed I am the ONLY patient there. To my surprise no apology was issued on her end, only a Dunkin Donuts gift card issued from another staff member. I have been in extreme back pain for the last few days. So, I decided to visit my local urgent care center only blocks from my house! I attempted to make a same day appointment online for 1pm. I received a confirmation that I had visited this location before. When I arrived for my appointment, I was informed that my appointment was for the next day. The young lady at the desk check referring to me as "honey", which I found to be rude. However, I was told that I could check in and it would be over a 3.5 hour wait! When I returned, I was informed that I was next in line. When I presented my ID, I told her that I could not find my insurance card, but I was in the system as I had been there before and saw confirmation when I made my online appointment. She again, referred to me as honey. I kindly asked her to refrain for doing so. She went on say, she can't find. "Will I be paying with a card?" Again, I am in extreme pain. So, I left go home to get my insurance card. When I returned, I was informed that my insurance was not accepted there. WHAT? When I asked to speak to a manager, she responded, I am the manager. Oh my! I left without being seen. What a waste! I shall never return. Besides, in a COVID-19, flu, RSV season, there was no social distancing as each seat was taken. I had been experiencing extreme back spasms in my lower back..i went in after church on 09/20/2020..to get checked out..i had a awesome experience...the staff was great during my whole process...Dr.Megan Dusak was very professional with her care and concerns about my issue..it is very rare.. you go into a hospital /facility and find quality staff with genuine care and concerns about a person..i truly recommend this place and if necessary hoping not but if I was to have an urgent care concern no doubt consider coming back there..i apologize I didn't get everyone names..but great awesome staff and physician..i give 5stars and then some...thank you so much! read more

I wish that I could assign this place zero stars. I have been having thumb pain for about two weeks and finally decided to go to a urgent care. I did my research to find a place that could do an x-ray if necessary. I made an appointment and received their text message that indicates it is time to arrive. When I got there, the waiting room was full - are we not social distancing in an office providing health care during a pandemic? When I got to the desk I was informed that they were behind in the schedule and that I can wait in the waiting room . I told them that I would wait in my car. After about a 20 min wait I was called inside, might I also note that it does not appear that anyone is cleaning the shared pens. The NP, Jennifer Schnell came into to see me with NO MASK. At no point during the visit did she go and get a mask or distance herself from me while talking. I told her about my thumb and that I thought maybe it could be fractured. In a very rude and condescending tone she told me that it was not. She went on to name about 6 other reasons that it could be feeling the way it does. She told me that she would put me in a brace at which point I told her I would take the brace and leave. When she returned to the room to tell me that I can take Advil soft gels and asked me if I had ever heard of them which I found again to be condescending. . This is not a place that I would EVER spend my time or money in. Not only is there little precaution being taken to prevent the spread of COVID, the clinical staff is rude.
