He is highly resistant to traditional therapy but I thought he might be more accepting of hypnotherapy and I have definitely seen some improvement in his emotional health. Dr Vicky spent a long time with us, going over all the things that might be bothering him. She spent time with us together and with just him. What we concluded would help most is if he can get a decent night's sleep, as he has always had trouble sleeping, even as a baby. She allowed me to sit in on the hypnosis session as well so I actually got to experience what she is doing for my son. I can't believe how relaxing the process was! She gave him a cd of the session to listen to when he has trouble sleeping. What impressed me most is how much Dr Vicky genuinely cares. She told me I have a great, very normal kid. Immediately after the session I got more studying done in one fourth of the usual time it takes me to complete the drill I was doing. I talked to the "doctor" on the phone. I guess my first red flag should have been her emphasis on how often the phrase "non-refundable" came up in our conversation. (Potential victims take note), and "this is a legally binding document". This in regard to the simple one page form that I was to fill out before our phone call/visit. The nut of the problem is that I am home bound with no access to a printer. I got a friend to print her "legally binding document" and bring me a copy at home, but she said she couldn't read the jpg copy of the image I sent to her. When I could not get a better/clearer copy to her before the scheduled telephone appointment, the "doctor" informed me that I would have to forfeit my $195 payment, which was taken from my bank account on the day that I made my appointment. There was no effort on her part to reschedule or accommodate me in any way. I could not get her the form, therefore I had to forfeit my $195. I explained that I am a home bound cancer patient, but she just kept repeating "legal document" and "non-refundable" over and over while claiming that she WANTED to help me. Uh-huh. Riiiight. Finally I told the "doctor" that she could keep the money and that I would just write off the whole experience as a badly failed experience. It's only money. Ya know what I mean? I'm dying anyway, and I can't take it with me.
