We've stayed at Seagull four times, three different cottages (3 Contemporary, 1 Vintage). We prefer…read morethe Contemporary Cottages because they're modern, have lots of light, and some of the best views. Our most recent September stay was quite restful and the complex was very quiet. The cottage was really cute and we enjoyed it's accessibility to all points around Ogunquit and Wells. We noticed house-keeping was a bit lacking this time. The kitchen and bathroom sinks needed deep cleaning before I could use them; that area between the sink and countertop was caked with grime (probably from aged cleaning products.) Cobwebs on the ceiling in the bathroom. Caked dirt (one corner was completely black) in the corner between the bathtub and toilet. The door stop on the outer screen door is broken, which is used to load in and load out your luggage, etc. Rock-hard mattress in the master, so I slept on the couch all week. Owner may not be aware of these issues, so I'm raising them here. I think house-keeping could do better.

Corey was amazing at accommodating out of town family guests in several of the contemporary cottages & townhouses for our daughters wedding weekend. Kids were able to spend some time in the pools that were very clean. The resort is near lots of Maine attractions, beaches, restaurants & shopping. Wells Beach views breathtaking from the Townhouse. Definitely will be back! Our stay was outstanding! Date of stay: August 2022 ~Genevieve & Bruce Nadeau

Price range was a bit steep and normally not worth it but it was Memorial Day weekend so all the hotels/houses hit the roof on rentals. The parking is supposed to be 1 car a room but that was definitely not the case that weekend as if you left you could not find a space at night when you returned so beware. Some suggestions: The room was clean but would recommend the tub to be re grouted as had started coming off around the rim and in some spots going black. The front desk has limited hours and I noticed that some folks trying to check in late were looking around like they had no idea what to do; perhaps just in case sending folks an email with the plan to get their keys if late. Their website said check in at 3pm but when we got there they asked us to come back for 4pm checkin which was a hassle as traffic that weekend on the strip was bumper to bumper to go anywhere; and they wouldn't let me check in early as my room was not ready. The one good thing is I was able to check out by dropping off the key in their slot as again no one was there in the office.. something I also was not instructed to do so would've been helpful to know that. I would say based on cost, and other items mentioned I would consider staying here again if it was a bit less expensive on a non holiday weekend now that I know what to expect and not pay premium prices for mediocre services. I cannot speak to the pool or courts as we did not use them.

We stayed in the contemporary cottage for a week and we stayed in unit #46. I'd like to say that…read morethis is NOT a good unit if you have kids. While it was clean, it had huge furniture that took up a lot of space, the TV's were old outdated tube tv's, the one in the bedroom didn't work and the grill needed to be replaced. There were roman blinds that were a death trap for kids and the flatscreen should have been tethered to the wall. However, we did look at a few other units on our stay and they were so nice and cute with nice furniture/decor. The other units seemed more open because of the appropriate sized furniture and decorating. We loved the contemporary feel of the kitchen and the washer and dryer was so awesome. It was so nice coming home to no laundry! We also looked at the condos and they are beautiful and spacious. Each unit is individually owned, so it's the owners taste on the furniture and decorating style. Unit 46 would probably be suitable for an older couple or someone who had older kids. We booked late and got last minute reservations so that is what we ended up with. When booking ask for a nicely decorated unit! There are 2 pools, a hot tub and a little wading pool for kids, all very clean. The grounds are kept up very nicely. Everyone who was there was extremely nice, most of the people that stayed there are owners, all friendly and very nice. It felt very homey our entire stay. The view is very pretty. I would absolutely stay here again. It really is a little hidden gem. I would just ask to stay in a different unit. Our stay was fabulous and we had such a great week. We felt like we didn't even need to leave the property our kids loved the pool and made a bunch of friends to play with. We will be back next summer for sure!
