I have a bit of a penchant for second hand furniture/antique stores and can't really help myself going in for a mosey when I spot one on my travels.
While this one doesn't look all that flash from the outside there are a few nice pieces to discover inside. That's what I like about stores like these that you can find something that looks a little like junk but then you take it home and give it a little love and care and it can be made to look awesome if you have the right attitude. While I feel completely different about second hand clothes, I think antique furniture really has character to it. It has history.
On my first visit in here I found a dark cane treasure chest which I just love and have sitting at the foot of my bed now. And on my latest visit, found the most spectacular headboard and managed to lug it home and get it inside before my bf could see it but I found out to my dismay that it was an odd size and didn't fit my Queen size bed, it was something in between a double and a Queen.
So I took it back and the lovely older gentleman who works here had no qualms about replacing it for me with another great headboard he had just gotten in that morning. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness, you don't get that often in customer service these days. read more
