This was the best massage I have ever had! The location is inside a community of houses/businesses with steps to get in. We did a couples massage in the same room. It had soft music playing and the two women were very skilled and gave us a great experience. We left feeling loose and comfortable. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is because we were interrupted a few times for her to answer the phone or door because she was there only one there. I was a little skeptical when pulling up to the place, but it was a relaxing massage! The place was fairly quiet, except for a dog barking nearby that got annoying quick. The room itself was cozy with dim lighting, soothing music playing and a heated bed. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the dog and because although the massage was extremely relaxing, I had some pain when I went in and unfortunately it's still there. Shalom! Sometimes you just need to escape from home, the peace negotiations between the kids have drove you nuts, and you see no happy ending. While you won't see one here either, it is a perfect place to escape and have some "me time". They hardly speak English nd you can't communicate about your issues. It did not seem they ever change the sheets in the bed. Even the pillow has a towel and paper tissues for protection, but, your body is in full contact with used sheets. I think that is part of t bgg e culture to save money. Just avoid it. read more

She asked a few times throughout the session whether the pressure was appropriate. She also asked if there were certain areas/trouble spots to focus on before starting. My appointment was early on a Sunday so I didn't experience any dogs barking at the pet shop next door or other loud noises as other reviewers had mentioned. The massage was great. I was able to get in half hour after I called. Not sure if it always works that way. Today is a Sunday. I didn't see any other staff or customers. Room was a little cold but she asked me and I said I was cold and she turned up the heat. It was comfortable for the rest of the massage and she even checked with me one more time if the temp was O.K. Place is clean but void of the usual fancy stuff at the spas. A nice music is going and you can dim the light to your comfort level. The bed was like any other massage bed. At some places, the mattress is heated. Not the case here. I wasn't quite sure if the piece of cloth I put my head on was being used for the first time (no fresh scent.) The building is a wooden, creaky one. Almost the whole time it was dead quiet, but when a couple of people walked in their footsteps and their voices were very clearly heard. It didn't bother me but I can imagine that if it goes on for the whole hour (like some others said) I would not like it. Massage was wonderful. I was able to communicate my needs to her and she focused on those areas. She actually jumped on the bed so she could reach both left and right hips and massage simultaneously and that was great. There are few frills at Well-being Massage - I quickly realized the quality of the massage is the true relaxation technique. I was having upper back and neck issues that I didn't communicate. It was OK but I prefer Asian Bodyworks, great all female staff with great hands. Amy and Mary are my favorits but can't complain about any of them, Mini is good too. My wife and I have gone together on a few occaisions. I about 5'7" average build and have Fibromyalgia, severe nerve pain in my sholders. Lisa was amazing! I had a 90 minutes Chinese traditional massage. This was by far one of the best I've had. Lisa didn't stop once... I received full 90 minutes of deep tissue massage. At other places, you pay for 90 minutes but really only receive 60 minutes or less. If you like deep kneading pressures instead of someone lightly rubbing your skin, you should give this place a try. Arrived a little early, the waiting room was cold. Once I got into the massage room however, the cold entrance was immediately rectified by a warm relaxing massage room. The one hour Swedish massage I had originally booked turned into a deep tissue as I liked the firmer pressure. The massage was absolutely fantastic! Joyce has really fixed my back and shoulders and I am very grateful! She gave me some stretching exercises and she combines traditional deep tissue with Chinese massage to get my shoulders back to a reasonable range of motion. The tables have a space for your face to fit into, so it is very comfortable. Agree that it has few frills, but great massage! The disappointing factor was that we were in the first room close to the check in area so we could hear the phone ringing constantly. I guess they were the only ones there but they could always preplan and put the phone on silent, lower the ringer..or something. And the pet grooming place next door had a dog that would not stop barking, which we heard throughout our massages too. I've been using this place for a few years now and I don't think that I have ever left unhappy. The place is set up modestly, but it's comfortable and clean. I have only seen 3 ladies who work there over the years. They always make you feel welcome. All of them do a great job giving a massage and what I really like is their genuine concern for your discomfort and pain. It's not just a job to them. They want to make you feel better. I have several issues so I get massages fairly frequently and I use other places also just because I enjoy a variety of techniques. I always want to go back to this place though. I don't ever know when my body might act up and hurt. I like this place because you can walk in and most of the time they can accommodate you. It's happened once or twice when they were all tied up and I had to leave. I now try to call a couple of hours ahead and actually make an appointment because I feel like it's fair to give them advance notice. I once was told that if I call ahead they will make the bed and the lotion warm (especially important in winter time!), so that's another reason to call ahead, if you are good at planning. People have made comments about dogs barking, however, I have only heard it once and it wasn't annoying to me. I can imagine though that if the barking goes on for a full hour it might not be very pleasant. A soft music is always on and that's what I hear for the most part. Price is awesome at $60 for a full hour of massage. This gives me room for a better tip as I really believe that they deserve a good tip. All ladies speak and understand English fairly well, however, I would say that language might become a barrier if you want to get into too much detail about what you need. read more

My goodness! The best massage I've ever had. Went there today. Had been really sore and knotted up from my workouts. Eva was my masseuse. Very professional, very attentive, very sweet, and very strong hands! Regarding the pressure, and considering Eva's small stature, I originally requested medium/heavy pressure. Being honest, I underestimated her strength. I asked her to adjust the pressure, as she instructed me to if needed, which she complied immediately. The amount of pressure she applied was consistent, controlled, and simply amazing. To put it mildly, she knows her stuff! I had a massage prior to Covid and it was great. 60 minutes/$60. I think that is reasonable. I had been emailing to get an appointment when they were back and finally got one on June 4th at 1:30. I showed up for my appointment and was told they had double booked and was I sure I had made my appointment there. She went through her phone and was "so sorry" she had forgotten to write it down but if I rescheduled she would do an extra 15 minutes. Rebooked for Sunday and she did do 15 extra minutes but left the room twice when the front door opened. There was a Walk Ins Welcome sign out. I was told that Sunday that I couldn't schedule another appointment that I had to call the morning of because they could only each do 4 a day. Took a chance last night and called to get an appointment today. All set! 4pm. Go to my appointment only to be asked if I could wait 30 minutes. NO! I am guessing that if you are a female....you should look elsewhere. If you are male and need some TLC and have a little extra cash....you are good to go. read more

I am giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was kind and the facility was clean. Everything else about it was awful. When I called to book the appointment, they answered the phone "Hello." Not a big deal, but strike one for unprofessionalism. When I arrived, there were two ladies at the counter to greet me, and they spent about 4 minutes bumping into each other not sure how to work together to get me set up. Once I was alone in the room with my therapist, she gave me ONE, FLAT, TINY pillow for my head.....this was a PRENATAL massage. I am 6 months pregnant and was horribly uncomfortable the whole time. She did not spend any time introducing herself, asking me where I wanted her to focus, nothing. Throughout the hour, I tried to tell her 3 different times that I couldn't lay on my back because of the pregnancy, and she still never understood me. This was partly because she spoke NO English, and partly because she had no idea what she was doing. She rubbed me down with a strange rapidity - so NOT relaxing! - yet with almost NO pressure. Toward the end of the massage, she asked me if the pressure was ok, and I told her she could go deeper. She immediately went from 0 to 10, and I was literally grimacing in pain!! I have had many massages over the years, including several prenatal massages during my previous pregnancy and my current one. Every time, the massage therapist has been very careful to use the sheet/blanket to provide as much warmth and privacy as possible to every part of my body other than the one they're currently working on. This lady practically let my TINY sheet drop to the floor except that I was gripping it around my chest. In addition, I have very bad hips, so I was finally able to communicate to her that I wanted her to focus on my hips and lower back, at which point she continuously lowered my panties more and more until they were literally down around my legs. I've never had a therapist find it necessary to do this before, and it made me so extremely uncomfortable. At no time during my hour did I feel like this woman had any kind of formal training. If I asked her about a specific muscle group, she'd probably look at me like a deer in headlights. In addition to the very tiny sheet I was given to cover up with, she used the world's scratchiest towel to wipe the excess lotion/oil off my body when she was done. This might sound silly, but after describing my experience to my husband, he believes I stumbled into a "happy ending" kind of place. Yikes! As for the language barrier, I don't mind having to work a little extra hard to communicate with a person from a different country. But when it's so bad that I spent $60 for someone who can't understand what I want from their services, and I end up in pain because of it, then we have a real problem. I will not be going back here, and I am making sure that everyone I know stays clear. read more

I get a massage about once every 4-6 weeks,I recently went to Well Being in Market Place where an older Chinese woman did my massage. I requested a deep tissue medium pressure with a focus on my upper back INSTEAD she decided to do a Chinese Massage TUI NA. Today is Sun Nov 19th and I have been in terrible pain since I left Well Being massage. My lower back which has NEVER had pain hurts so bad that I have had a heating pad on it 3 days and cant walk steps ! Also they applied way to much pressure to my SPINE I kept saying hurts but the woman barely spoke english. My fault I should have left when it first hurt my back now I am afraid they have hurt something long term. Has anyone else experienced the same thing from this place? read more
