The law offices of Dr. Bill Latour were professional, timely, and best of all took on my Social…read moreSecurity Disability appeal and helped me win my case. I tried going it alone because I felt my case was open and shut. My initial claim and my reconsideration were both denied. It felt like those denials were automatic. I was at rock bottom mentally when my cousin recommended this law firm. The intake interview was thorough, and the person taking in my information was reassuring and understanding. My case was deemed winnable in less than 15 minutes. I felt relieved that I had someone on my side. They gathered all my medical records and knew EXACTLY what to present from those records to the Administrative Law Judge. My hearing took 30 minutes and the lawyer assigned to my case pointed out certain things to the judge Judge. I had a decision about a week after my hearing, got my back pay about a month after. That was instantaneous relatively speaking. Took my case 3 years from start to finish. I have no doubt that if I had Dr Bill Latour representing me from the beginning I could have shaved that wait in half. I highly recommend this law firm. Thanks to the law offices of Dr. Bill Latour !

I am also homeless so looks like I am screwed all because they don't have the common sense to send a potential client to a doctor for diagnosis.... I may not be educated, but at least I have common sense and know how to do business properly, unlike this office. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere, especially if they don't have the logic to send someone to a doctor.....

If you are considering this firm, save yourself the time and frustration and look elsewhere. I was…read morea client with Montevideo for three months and the experience was eye-opening in the worst way. First, they love bomb you to get you to sign with them. After you do, they will never again reach out proactively. I initiated every communication and was frequently ignored. Their go-to line is that if you don't hear from them it's because they are busy working on your behalf. This false message is meant to make you stay quiet. Despite my requests to speak with a paralegal or attorney, I never did. All communication was routed through an intake manager, which is a way for them to avoid accountability for the false and misleading information they give you. I received inconsistent and often contradictory information -- particularly around the communication with the insurance company. It became clear over time that the goal was to make me feel like my case had little value so I would be relieved to accept whatever low offer they put in front of me. They drag the process out, prioritizing quantity of cases over quality of representation. Months pass with little communication, bills pile up, and you grow exhausted and desperate. By the time an offer comes, you have been worn down to the point where you will accept whatever they "negotiate". They will not take your case to court -- that takes time and effort that does not fit their model. They told me that if I wanted to pursue a lawsuit with another firm then I should expect to pay upfront for representation. This is false. Personal injury attorneys work on contingency. That statement was either ignorant or intentionally misleading. I fired this firm. If you are hurt and want someone to preserve your rights and best interest, look elsewhere. Hire an attorney who is honest and willing to fight for you.

We later came to learn that the pit bull dog had attacked another family that same day causing serious injuries. It was truly a horrific time for us not knowing if or how we could ever recover from this event. With John's help, we were able to pursue and ultimately reach a settlement with the homeowner's insurance company for our loss and suffering. John also helped me get the word out to the community, joining me at a neighborhood meeting that was organized to address concerns with dog attacks in the area. John is a true professional. He knows the law and he understands the process by which matters such as ours are resolved. This was tremendously valuable to us. John is honest, diligent, and forthcoming with his opinions yet maintains a steady and remarkable composure when dealing with a case. I am truly grateful that we found John to help us out.
