This restaurant features excellent traditional German food at very fair prices. There are only about ten tables in the whole establishment, so the atmosphere is definitely cozy. The heavy wooden furniture and decoration add to this and give it plenty of Old World charm. The food is simply delicious and the menu is surprisingly broad for such a small place. Don't be intimidated by the Reserviert signs on all the tables - that's just to keep out the riff-raff. Simply ask the waitress (there's only one) if there's a table available and she'll be sure to seat you. Since it's a Weinstube, there's also a wide selection of local and foreigen wines available. If you need help, the waitress can make a recommendation. read more

This is a traditional "Weinstube" -- a small place that serves local wine and local food. Both are excellent and the menu includes many dishes that are rarely offered, from rabbit and fresh trout to kidneys and "Suelze" with vinaigrette. There's also the usual stuff (Schnitzel etc) but what stands out are the regional traditions. Highly recommended. The warm and cozy atmosphere is also worth a visit. Some English spoken. read more

Established in 1998.

An das Stadttor Weilertor angebaut, wurde das historische und prägende Gebäude "Im Weiler 20" , erstmal 1724 urkundlich erwähnt. Immer wieder umgebaut, aufgestockt und zuletzt 1998 grundsaniert, hat es die Jahrhunderte nicht nur gut überstanden, sondern die Grundsubstanz wurde erhalten und der heutigen Zeit angepasst. Seit 1998 sind Hanne und Peter Ludwig die rührigen Akteure, Gastwirte und Gastgeber in der Weinstube Weilertor.
