The atmosphere is charming and it's located in a nice, safe neighborhood close to nice hotels. But why the mediocre rating? The service was terrible! From the moment I got there, I had to wait to be seated. A scowling young woman who didn't bother to say good evening and seemed annoyed that it was only a party of one, to the waiter who barely crossed to words with me other than to acknowledge my order and recommend a wine (which he got wrong the first time, although when he got me request for a red it truly was an excellent choice) were just one of the negatives. Then when it came time to leave, it was another long wait until what appeared to be the owner or head waiter finally requested my check, which also brought another set of eye rolls when I asked for separate checks for food and wine. Why I annoyed them I don't know. I was in a business suit, having gone there straight from a series of business meetings. Was it that I wasn't a native Portuguese speaker? Well, SP is an international city. Overall, I was made to feel very uncomfortable and as much as I enjoyed the meal, wine and atmosphere, I will not go back or recommend it. It was simply an unpleasant experience.

They do a really good job with the menu. Didn't try the antipasti because I didn't have much time. I ordered the Gnocchi al fungi tartufatti (gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle oil) that was amazing. My friend ordered the gnocchi with ragout that was good as well. They have many other options of pasta, meat and fish. They have a god bar service. We had a Tiramissu for dessert, and it was perfect!!! The price is ok, nothing too expensive.
