I can't even give Dr. Weingold ONE Star in good conscience. There is Absolutely Nothing Good that I can Possibly say! It all started when I told him what I was using on the "Dermatitis" of which was the reason I had been referred to him. It was Neosporin that included "Pain, Itching, and Scarring" relief, then Betamethasone when it kept getting worse, prescribed by my Primary Physician. When I said "Neosporin" he threw his head back and Laughed. He then told me that I had been Scammed, all I needed was Vaseline and left the room. When he came back, I simply told him that if I had been Scammed, so had the Corporation that makes Band-Aids because they use it on the pads. It went on from there but getting worse all the time such as him telling me that he could do a Biopsy, but it would just come back with a bigger name and we still wouldn't know what it was. To be brief and succinct, that is when I should have walked out the door. Instead, four days later, I was in the ER at St Bernard's with a hole in my leg almost as big as a dime and as deep as half a Q Tip from the Punch Biopsy. My leg was bruised at least three inches around the site from the pressure applied to stop the bleeding, it was red and obviously infected. When I took my Bandage off there was both blood and puss in the wound and covering the bandage. After the ER Doctor saw my "At Home Instructions" which was to clean the wound daily with Peroxide and then apply Vaseline before placing a medium sized Band-Aid on it, the same as I had left his Office with. In the 1/2 an hour it took me to drive home, my left leg (the site of the wound) had bled onto my pants and covered my thigh. He gave me nothing for pain, before or after the procedure. In my "Instructions" I was to use a non-aspirin type of pain reliever if needed. The ER Doctor strongly suggested that I see another Dermatologist for a Second Opinion and my Family Physician referred me to Wound Care. The Above is not my Opinion, I am simply stating Facts and I have the Instructions as well as Photos to prove it. You make your own decision ... read more
