I am new to the area, and I have had a Snow blower worked on (which had to be brought right back because the issue was not fixed) and bought another piece of lawn equipment from there. I went in today to check on the possibility of buying another piece of equipment and again was disappointed with the service I received. Not sure what the gentleman's name was today but I was not happy with the way he interacted with me. I ended up just walking out due to his lack of knowledge and his unwillingness to help me find a remedy to my situation. That's ok though. I will just take my money else where. My purchase today would have been over 1k. Gave this store several chances and all failed. I'll never spend my hard-earned money in a place that treats a customer in this manner. read more

I called them to get my rider serviced. They set it up for pick up on Monday between 9am and 1pm so I got the rider out of storage and moved it next to the driveway early in the morning and waited. In fact waited all day for them to come and get it. Around 6pm I put my rider back in the pole barn. If this is what their service is like then I'd say I would be better off using the John Deere dealer in Kent City. And they didn't even call to say they wouldn't make it. What a truly shitty way to treat customers. Oh and I did contact them and they said they would have a manager call directly and no phone call. read more

You can get a lawnmower or other lawn equipment pretty much anywhere nowadays. You probably won't want to go anywhere else though if there's a Weingartz anywhere near you - these folks not only offer a wide variety of equipment brands, but have a truly excellent parts and service department with the best service I've ever experienced, hands-down. I bought my lawnmower from a big-box store many years ago and then I got my Cub Cadet snowblower from Weingartz back around 2010. We had to downsize a few years ago and so my equipment was in storage for a few years. This year, we have a house again and so it was time to get this equipment serviced, so I called Weingartz. Scheduling the service was a snap. The entire service department, from the receptionists to the service technicians, was friendly and helpful. They were able to come out to my home and pick up all my equipment, which was nice. Unfortunately, they had my old address on file and didn't initially come to my new place as I had instructed the receptionist. The day of the pick-up, the driver called me from the old address to find out why I wasn't there and so I had to tell him of the mix-up. He was calm and unshaken and just got directions to my new place. Afterwards, they got everything taken care of in just a couple of days and at a very fair price. When I called to schedule the drop-off, I accidentally called the service manager directly rather than the main store. I felt pretty bad about bothering him unnecessarily and offered to call the store, but Mike was totally cool about it and just scheduled the drop-off for me himself! You just don't see service and support like this very often nowadays. I won't ever go anywhere else and I can't say enough good things about these folks. read more

Went in to get a quote for a simple repair on a chainsaw and got ripped off. In the small print when you drop something off for the quote they charge you $44 no matter what for the quote, however no body told me this. Despite the fact that I emphasized just wanting a price before I did anything, but the salesman didn't think at all to mention the flat rate cost for the quote if you don't have the work done. So then they came back with a ridiculous quote to get a couple minor repairs made, quoted over a $100 in parts (which I bought online for $40 brand new) and $132 (1 1/2 hr) for service (took me 20 min to replace parts and I have zero experience with small engines). What makes me so mad is that they purposely don't say anything about the $44 so that when you get your way overpriced quote you feel like moving forward with it anyways because no matter what you're going to get charged the $44. Not to mention that I told them what was wrong and needed to be replaced when I came in, and the guy at the counter completely agreed. So they should have been able to give me a quote on the spot instead of making me wait a week for someone to tell me what I already knew. Complete rip off, terrible customer service, and I'll never go back again! read more
