The mixologist had an interesting German name I can't remember - a Berliner that had a great command of Bourbon drinks. I tried quite a few. My favorite was a bourbon chartreuse sazerac - I'm drooling in a shitty hostel bed in Croatia just thinking about it. The bar is in a quiet part of town, but that only adds to the intimacy of it. After a couple great drinks, you can stroll to Kreuzberg/Neukölln and keep the sexy vibez going.

Only one word describes Noer - AWESOME!!! I came across this wine shop / bar when the staff at…read moreEastern Comfort recommended it and gave me a business card. They said everyone who'd been there loved the fantastic range of vinos, chiled atmosphere and was impressed by the knowledge exhibited by the owners (as well as the banter - they are such a laugh!). I experienced exactly this, but was particularly taken by how they position their wines. Now I love my wine but am more into drinking it than actually knowing anything about it ;-) so it was refreshing to be able to tell them what sort of 'experience' I was looking for from a wine (relaxing vs. energising, for example) and they were able to tell me which wine was best... AWESOME!!! Be sure sure to pay a visit next time you're in Berlin, and pay particular attention to the artwork used to depict the variety of wines on the wall (as well as the London-themed pencil sharpeners - those are so cool!!!).

Great place to chill with friends or for a date!…read more If you want to have a chilled night out and catch up with friends by drinking good wine in a cosy atmosphere this is definitely the place where you should go. I think I will have regrets sharing this review because it is already a bit difficult to find a table (advise : arrive before 9:00pm) but this is such a lovely place! The candles are perfect, the darkness of the placeake every body look beautiful (That's why I think it's good for a date haha) It's cheap, the staff is friendly and they anticipate your request. They bring you water with the wine,... The music is soft and you can discover nice thing if you pay attention. So if you're around and want to chill, don't hesitate and go to this place! The main challenge will to find the entrance, I'm not sure the name of the place is written on it. The barman wasn't sure of the official either, how funny!

There is ample outdoor seating, and a nice, relaxing atmosphere. It's more than that though--you can see the passion the owners have through their descriptions of what they offer, and their ability to help every guest find a wine they'll like. The highlight for me came from such a recommendation, a dessert wine (an eponymous Noble Rot) paired with a salted caramel praline. The combination of the sweet wine and the bitter chocolate and salty caramel was nothing like I've ever experienced before. Overall, Noble Rot has a unique, well-cultivated selection of wines, and a unique ability to help you find exactly what you want to drink.
