Whether you're looking for a late-night meal or a place for your family celebration, Ares and his team will serve you their delicious, hearty meals with such care, you'll leave with every intention of coming back. Their 50-seat restaurant--with garden seating in good weather overlooking the street entering the village of Weilheim--fills up quickly with its regular customers. We usually make a reservation or call in to make sure we'll get a table when we arrive. The restaurant serves traditional Greek food, pizza and pasta (its previous owners were Italian) and a few Swabian favorites. There's a kids' menu as well as smaller portions if you're not as hungry or on a diet or something. I can't go there without having the "Ortef Teller", listed under appetizers. It's a sampler of Greek appetizers such as the stuffed grape leaves, cheese spreads with fish or garlic, tzatziki and a bit of gyros in the center. It's served with warm bread which is eaten no matter how full we are, it's so good. The kids love the gyros plate served with fries or a mini pizza which are all very good. Their crust is a thicker one like the bread the salad is served with and it's eaten even by the young ones who usually leave the crust on the plate. At the end of the meal, adults are served a shot of ouzo which arrives with bill. Always a great way to end the meal here! read more
