One, I would not stop lifting weights and two, I would not go on any pain medication. I was referred to Dr. Robert from a friend and after a few consultations, I could not be more impressed with his approach. There is still more work to be done, but I am progressing to back training with 100% intensity again.

I've been working with Amy at The Wellness Map for 10 months on overhauling a lifetime of poor…read moreeating habits. The results have been great so far (I have lost 7% of my starting weight in a steady and consistent fashion and the weight loss is continuing in a steady fashion) and the experience fantastic. As a well informed person, for a long time I "knew" what I "should" be eating but was never able to "consistently implement" any change in eating habits. That has started changing after working with Amy. The best part of Amy's program is the "ongoing" nature of it, which is how any attempt at lifestyle change should be. I have found the regular meetings and check-in's valuable because they get you back on track if you slip backwards (as will inevitably happen when you are trying to change habits that are years in the making), they keep you motivated, make modifications along the way and find new ways of addressing and breaking through plateau's in weight loss progress. This is not here is a "meal plan, good luck" this is slowly & steadily changing your relationship with food to emerge healthier, lighter and more energetic on the other side.

I've been doing Shamanic Energy Healing sessions with Arriale and this has been a new experience…read morefor me. I come from a very results-driven background--fitness, strength training, and nutrition--so I've always focused almost entirely on the physical side of health. The spiritual side is something I'm newer to, and I'm realizing it's probably been the missing piece of my puzzle. Arriale has been incredibly supportive, consistent and very intuitive throughout the process. She takes the time to listen, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. The results aren't always immediate or obvious especially for a results driven Type A, but I have noticed increased awareness, mental clarity, and a better understanding of certain patterns that may have been impacting my overall well-being for decades. I also appreciate that we're tracking biomarkers and connecting this work back to real health outcomes, which gives it more substance and satisfies my goal seeking persona. This isn't a quick fix--it's a different layer of the process. And for me, it's been a reminder that health isn't just physical.
