My boyfriend and I visited Chung dam spa for the first time today. Admission without any treatments…read moreis $33. I decided to try a Korean body scrub which I've never experienced before which was $95 and included daily admission. After you pay at the front, men and women are separated into their own locker rooms. The locker room isn't that big and felt a little crowded at times. The women's locker room has 2 sauna rooms - one small one and one large one. The large sauna room (jade room?) was barely hot. More like warm. The other room was hot and much more sauna-like. The women's area also has a nude bathhouse area. I was instructed by one of the staff to prepare for my scrub by taking a shower and then sitting in the steam room. The scrub itself was a very interesting experience haha i liked it and felt very clean after! My skin is so soft now. The nude area is a little weird at first but you get used to it. In the bathhouse area there are showers, 3 pools (cold, warm, warmer?...none of them were hot), a dry sauna, and steam room. This isn't a good place to spend time with someone of the opposite sex. The co-ed lounge area is small and consists of a few couches and tables. There's one co-ed sauna in the lounge (salt room) but you can't lay down in there. It's a loose salt floor with benches. Overall I'd say you could easily spend a few hours here but it's not an all day thing like some other Korea day spas. If you're looking for a no frills, chill Korean day spa I'd recommend trying out this place.

Went very well and staff is very kind! It wasn't what I expected, but it was well worth it…read more Not for the shy....

To schedule an appointment, I simply called their main number and able to schedule my appointment the day of. Not sure if they accept walk-ins but it's always best to schedule in advance. Pro-Tip- scheduling an appointment in advance makes you appear like VIP member. Most times, you are greeted upon arrival and it's lessens wait time. Anyway, I filled out a waiver form to ensure my body would be able to handle the frigid elements which is standard. Then I was taken to the back to strip down. I was given a park of thick socks, Ugg's, gloves and knee warmers (although I didn't use them) to prepare myself. As a man, I kept my undies on and hopped into the chamber. Once inside, the temp ended up getting to -250 and I stayed inside for 3 mins. Let me tell you, ITS WAS COLD! Once outside, my body immediately felt better and soreness seemed to decrease. I will definitely be back to book my next session to keep my body sharp and operating at a high level. If you end up going to CRYO Philly be sure to tell Dayhna, Rob sent ya! Peace and love

Recently hosted a bridal shower in the banquet room. Bride requested this location…read more First and foremost the server taking care of us was lovely, super accommodating and took great care of us!! The space was beautiful. Didn't make a stink the day of because our server was so kind and we had such a great day, but if you're looking to plan an event there are definitely things you should be made aware of. Planning and preparing for the event with the event coordinator was a bit of a pain and that pain continued into the event itself. Communication was not great, emails taking days or weeks to respond and can't get anyone on the phone. We had to reschedule a meeting due to a medical issue on her part (which was totally fine) but there was no communication on the clubs end of things (even after I called the day of the meeting and was told someone would be getting back to me, no one did). We later had to reschedule another meeting which was this time my fault. The week of, after requesting it, I was sent the invoice for the event. The invoice was not accurate so I asked for it to be adjusted and was told it would be sent back.. it wasn't. Day of the shower one of the bridesmaids was first to arrive and the coordinator did not bother to show her to the room or say hello, introduce herself, nothing. During the shower there was not lemonade and iced tea on the tables as I had discussed with the coordinator. We get to the start of food and I notice after everyone has already eaten that the rolls and butter were never put out, the waitress says she wasn't told and scrambles to find us rolls and butter. When planning with the coordinator, we discussed doing a mimosa bar for the purpose of cutting cost on a full bar and bartender, she failed to tell me that the champagne bottles they sell are $45 a bottle, it was NOT cheaper than doing a full bar. All in all for the cost of the venue ($600 room rental plus food and beverage plus a 20% gratuity on the ENTIRE bill, not just food and bev) there are DEFINITELY better places to host your event. It's a shame because the event space is beautiful, but it seems as though the event coordination is lacking tremendously. I wish I would have read more reviews before booking because it seems as though these aren't new issues.

I had been happily attending until a series of negative events caused me to cancel my membership…read more It started with my nephew who had been involved in kids Academy, and wound up breaking his arm there. He reported, slipping and falling on something wet, which leads me to believe that the facilities weren't being properly monitored for cleanliness and safety around children. The following week, my son fell in his lip was busted, but the team in charge of kids academy really had no explanation as to how that happened either. Finally, in an attempt to relax recently, I chose to enjoy the steam room and hot tub on site. Both rooms had mold on the floor, and when I went to take a shower, I found that someone had detangled their hair and smeared it on the wall of the shower and that no one had bothered to clean it up. At over $200 a month for the membership you would expect that maintenance will be available and that I would not have had hair balls flying at me when I tried to get in the shower, but that is not the case. I reported this issue to the front desk and they gave me the email address to their manager. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong email address and the email bounced back. I copied the overarching Life Time email address in my communication and all I received was an automated email saying that my membership has been canceled. No acknowledgment of my experiences there. Extremely disappointing.

So today I tried the cryotherapy & Cocoon therapy. Oh my God they were amazing. I loved it and I'm not just saying that because I worked there I've been wanting to Cryotherapy for a long time, but I was afraid it was gonna be too cold. Let me first tell you that you go in for only two minutes , they give you slippers, gloves, a mask, a hat, and a robe, which you can take the robe off if you like, I wore sports bra and underwear underneath the robe. Yes, I kept the robe on! Next time I'll be able to go in for three minutes and I promise you it really wasn't that bad fact, I loved it! Cocoon was amazing too. You lay in it naked with your head sticking out you get a full body massage ( you can adjust the pressure ) along with intense to mild heat. I came out from both feeling refreshed, renewed and amazing.! The best part is right now you can try them for free! Ask me for a coupon!
