I've been seeing Dr. Dawson for about 8 months, after my partner began seeing him on a whim due to sciatica and athletic pains. I have chronic pain due to a host of chronic health issues, including fibromyalgia, and was initially hesitant. Now, I have zero regrets! Dr. Dawson is incredibly professional and empathetic. Best of all, his approach isn't geared towards the expectation that you will have to see him forever whereas other chiropractors we've seen in the past had a very different mentality. Dr. Dawson isn't only fixated on cracking things, but improving your overall wellness while paying attention to things like movement and exercise (that is right for YOU), stretching, diet, etc. He also uses a combination of manual body work, and target scraping, cupping, and massage gun. It's great knowing that my plan is customized and tailored to meet my changing needs. We've also had the pleasure of joining Dr. Dawson for a couple of his Flowstate classes which have been challenging and fun. As for the practice, i'm equally impressed and appreciative of Nancy, the office manager. Nancy is the sweetest human being who care just as much about the patients as Dr. Dawson does. She sends us reminders for each appointment and goes above and beyond to treat us well when we are there, getting us warmed up and prepped. The experience has been so great, that I recently gifted my sister a pack of appointments to start treatment for her own health issues, including chronic pain due to degenerative disk disease. Haven't been to this place yet but when I try to book an appointment a receptionist or employee that contacts me from a 310 number is EXTREMELY rude and sarcastic. I try to explain to her my conditions and circumstances and instead of taking consideration she sarcastically laughs and says things like "this doesn't make sense" she even tired charging me 50% to book my massage. Mind you this isn't my first surgery nor my first massage, I've paid booking fees and deposits but I've never had anyone charge me 50% of a service, not even surgeons do that. I've tried to book an appointment more then once but the Timing is never convenient coming from Irvine to West Hollywood during traffic hours. I understand ppl get busy but if your going to work in a place of CARE, imma need you to at least pretend to like your job and care for the ppl trying to come to do business. Im 5 days post op and have taken my business else wear twice by now. A lot of places on Orange County are closed due to covid so I already have to travel far enough for a massage let alone have to accept terrible customer service from a front desk worker . having all these problems before even walking thru the door is not good for business and doesn't make me feel comfortable even trying to book an appointment even further and I hope no one else has to experience this. I purchased an acupuncture treatment on Groupon and it was worth every cent. I went in with major pain in my right shoulder which would at times cause shock all the way down to my finger tips. This pain has been going on for weeks and after just one treatment.. My pain has lessen dramatically. The therapist who treated me mention I would need to do follow up treatments in order to receive the full benefits of acupuncture. I will definitely be a returning client. read more

Scammed! I booked an appointment for my parents using the groupon that was supposed to include acupuncture and cupping and a consultation. All they got was needles and a hot towel and were guilt-tripped to buy $80 worth of herbal products. They were supposed to have a relaxing experience with cupping, but they totally missed out. So unprofessional. You're supposed to help people not scam them. They provided 2 printed vouchers that specifically said Acupuncture, Cupping and a Consultation, but they said it was "not necessary" for them to see or collect... Don't take advantage of people just because they're not familiar with your holistic services. I read so many good reviews by people who had experienced cupping here. I don't know why they were so unprofessional with my parents who were truly in need of a therapeutic experience. read more

I'm writing this review to warn other consumers about this business. I visited Relax Holistic three times in 2014. My expenses were covered in full by my insurance company. THREE YEARS later, I received a call from a collections agency regarding a fraudulent unpaid bill. I never received a call or any written notice from Relax Holistic regarding an unpaid bill. Once I was notified by the collections agency, I called Relax Holistic every day for 2 weeks and they completely brushed me off saying they would have the individual responsible for billing call be back when they came in later in the day. Needless to say, I never received a call back from them. I ended up having to just pay the bogus bill as it had a huge negative impact on my credit score. The lack of customer service is extremely disappointing and their "billing practices" are completely fraudulent and unethical. Unfortuantely, as you can see from other reviews, I'm not the only individual to have a terrible experience with Relax Holistic. There are plenty of other Chiropractic offices in LA that are honest and won't screw you over, so I highly recommend steering clear this so called practice if you're in the market for stress relief. read more

I've been going twice weekly ever since. Even though they are considered out of network for my insurance (United Healthcare), they were willing to accept the rate that my out-of-network coverage offered. They have made it SO easy to work with my insurance and get multiple visits of both chiropractic and therapeutic massage covered with a reduced rate. I've NEVER had a problem getting an appointment (in fact my first appointment was a walk-in!). With evening and weekend slots available on all days of the week, it's super easy to make regular visits part of you healthy maintenance practice.
