I had been struggling with neck/shoulder pain for some time due to a mixture of old rugby injuries but also crossfit/surfing. Sports with lots of strain on the body. Before moving to Los Angeles, I had an excellent Doctor who treated me for everything and was a certified Chiropractor, Physical Therapist, and trained in TCM. I went to Meta Clinic after my physical therapist had tried to fix some painful tendonitis in my right shoulder for more than 6 months without success. I chose them because they accepted my insurance and had such great reviews on Yelp. I ended up having 3 sessions with Dr. Kyu and each session was very thorough - 60 minutes or more with a combination of acupuncture and massage. My 3rd session was just 2 days ago and I finally felt like it was starting to help my tendonitis. I cannot fault the quality of the work performed on me. I'm giving 3 stars for 2 reasons. The primary reason is that in less than a week they cancelled 2 appointments on me the same day of the appointment and less than 3 hours before my scheduled appointment. With the most recent cancellation today I even told the admin who called me that because this was the 2nd cancellation in less than a week and I was a new patient that I would need to stop seeing them and find someone else and her response was just "OK", not even an attempt to try and save my business. The 2nd reason is that both the 2nd and 3rd time that I actually had sessions the doctor asked me which shoulder it was that was bothering me - this reflects a lack of attention and documentation of my condition and should never happen in a professional setting. read more

Dr. Kyu is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. A friend of mine referred me to him. Said he saved her life. I believe it! This man knows the human body inside and out . He was a doctor in Korea..chiropractor..miracle worker ! For years I have suffered from all sorts of ailments including: Digestive problems, anxiety, sleeping problems, back pain, and even seizures. I'd say that I'm their biggest fan, but by the other reviews on here, there are many other that feel similarly. I've been seeing Dr. Kyu several times a month for years. I always leave feeling remarkably better. I've had a variety of ailments - from a sore jaw from teeth grinding to hip and shoulder pain from sitting in front of the computer all day to headaches from just life! His vast knowledge of the body enables him locate the source of the pain and pick the best way to fix it. It's primarily acupuncture (his needles don't hurt!), and I've had radio frequency therapy and cupping too. The pain always disappears, sometimes altogether or sometimes gradually over treatments, and I can't believe that before I just lived with aches when there is someone who can fix them!
