All of them were friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond. Seriously, not only did they do their job, but they went out of their way to make us feel special and welcomed. It was such a great experience. Oh, did I mention the view? Amazing! The food there was great, we had mostly sushi, sashimi, tacos, etc, all of which was fresh and tasty. The wait team gave us recommendations which were spot on. No upsells, but honest and right on the money based on what we described we wanted. They knew their stuff and delivered. That was a highlight for sure. Well done, SEEN team. And as a side note, the folks - well one person in particular - who complained about the dress code, it's seriously not a "thing." Admittedly - it was clearly designed so that it could function at night, when my hunch is that it's more likely to be an absolute madhouse, and it probably a bit feels more like a nightclub. Good thing for me, then, that they're open, and I visited, at 2 PM on a Friday, when they only had a few customers, my favorite sort of vibe for a bar. Yes, they do have extremely suggestively murals up all over the place, because they're committed to the bit (committed enough that if it turned out they were actually also a secret brothel to this day, I'd be like... yeah, that'd track. To my knowledge they are in fact just a bar, though.) But at least when they aren't busy, it is *also* one of the small number of proper craft cocktail bars I found in Lisbon while I was there. Their cocktails were 12-14 euro as of when I was there a few months ago - which a couple years ago would've felt a little pricey, but now feels pretty par for the course. The menu cocktails were mostly all prebatched, but have clearly been prebatched freshly and with *purpose*, as the two cocktails I tried here were *quite* good. One with gin, roobois, ancho reyes and yellow pepper, and one, I was excited to finally see, using Beirao in something more interesting than just tonics or spritzes, with pisco, Beirao, pineaple and eucalyptus. Great presentation, great drinks, and again at least as of when they were least busy, quick service (as you would expect, given that, again, it is mostly prebatched.) That said, if like me, you only speak English, ymmv - the one bartender when I was there spoke English like a native English speaker. Great bartender, too. Then he left and another bartender took over, who spoke zero English whatsoever. As it turns out, you also don't need to speak the same language to order a drink off a menu and then pay for it, though, but it is still *nice* speaking the same language as the bartender.

Since the Santa Justa lift is closed, one of the best locations to see a very similar view. I will say it was extremely difficult to find it at first. That is the main reason why I didn't get my five stars. The GPS gets confused because it's located on the second floor and so it keeps taking you down the street of the santa justa lift. I was getting so frustrated because I was looping around a bunch of times. In order to find it, you have to go to the Carmo convent and it is behind the Museum. Otherwise, though it has a classic drink menu for a decent price. There's around 50 people worth of seating covered and uncovered. I will say, though when the sunset happens, you're completely shaded by buildings and so it's on the cooler darker side until they turn on the lights.

My wife ordered the Porn Star Martini (you gotta love an establishment that has a little fun with the name of their drinks) and I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea (this used to be my go-to back in my clubbing days). I knew the drinks would be delicious when I saw Joao carefully crafting the drinks as if he was bathing a newborn. Six minutes later we were sipping on our delectable drinks. In fact, the drinks were so delectable that we slowly sipped them to not finish them too quickly. We made repeated visits to The Bar during our stay in Lisbon, specifically for their Happy Hour that takes place from 5pm to 8pm. With the exception of the signature cocktails, all cocktails are $7 during Happy Hour.
