Weed Man - White spots that turned into dead spots - Pest Control Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

I paid for their service and yet I still had weeds and mushrooms growing in my yard. Then I cancelled and told them the reason. Then continue to get calls where they ask why I cancelled I told them I wanted to allocate my money elsewhere and Jordan chose to say that you didn't tell me the reason. It's my money I can choose what I want to do with it. I went off on him and then hung up. This place is a joke of a company and they will constantly call or text you. The value is not there for what you pay for it. read more

TERRIBLE COMPANY Had Weed Man service all spring and summer, still have clover and violets. Treatment ineffective. Can't justify the cost due to lack of effectiveness. Zero rating. After my first "treatment" my yard sprouted with weeds worse than I've ever seen I DO NOT recommend their company at all! read more

I called and spoke with a salesman who setup a plan. He mentioned that since I started a little late I would have to get two weed emergence treatments to catch up. The first service was supposed to be 29.95 and then 66.50 for the remaining services. I logged onto the customer portal and saw they intended to charge me for two of the same treatments on the same day and charge both fees for the one visit. Then when looking at the billing, they intended to charge my credit card for the entire year up front when I was told by the salesman I could cancel anytime. I wanted monthly billing so how could I cancel? When I contacted them, they said they would make the two treatments on separate days but it was too late by that time. The company's sales tactics with this particular salesman left little to be desired and I would never consider using them again. read more

You can see from other reviews they are not a great company. I signed up for a year. READ FINE PRINT...they automatically renew you even if you state that you just want to do a year and try them out. I verbally called and asked for my breakdown of the services because the billing is wacky. I stated that I was done after the service contract ended and they continued to come. I disputed it and they don't do customer service basically. Honestly, I didnt even see a real difference in the lawn. read more

I signed up for service initially for the year 2022, requesting eradication of weeds in my yard, specifically dichondra. I told the salesperson about my half acre lot and wanted the entire property treated. They gave me a price and I agreed to sign up. When the first tech arrived to treat my yard he was only prepared to treat front and side yards, not the back yard. I told him I had paid to treat the whole property. He told me it would probably be a higher price to service the entire yard. I had to get on the phone and speak to someone at the office to straighten that out. They agreed to treat my entire yard at the original price even though they'd mistakenly given me a price for front and sides. As the season progressed I didn't really notice any changes in weed growth or elimination of the dichondra. If you were to go through phone recordings with Weed Man there's no telling how many times I mentioned dichondra and how at the end of the season my yard was still covered in it. I had mentioned it to techs when they were here. A manager even came out one time and I pointed it out to him and he assured me it would be taken care of. Like a fool, I agreed to an aeration/overseeding to guarantee and nice thick yard for the next season. Needless to say I was incredibly displeased with the results after all the money I spent. A sales person called me at the end of the season to check if I wanted to continue for the next year. I told them this story and that I would under no circumstances like to continue service. Fast forward to late 2023, I received a call from Weed Man proposing service for 2024. I laughed and said absolutely not. The salesperson asked why and I told him the story again and said I would feel like a huge fool if I signed up for service again. He assured me this was a one time thing and that he guaranteed service would be completed and all weeds would be gone. Reluctantly, I agreed to sign up for the season. As the season progressed and began to get into the hotter months I got a phone call from WM suggesting summer treatment (additional service / more $$). I told the person that I was currently still not seeing improvement in my yard and that I would not be paying then any more money until I saw an improvement. She told me she would request a manger. A manger never came. After several weeks ANOTHER sales person called trying to pitch the summer treatment and I had to have the same conversation with this person, who then guaranteed a manger would come to the property.. they never came. This company is a joke and I can't believe I was dumb enough to sign up a second time after the first season being so terrible. read more

DANGER: THEIR PRODUCTS WILL KILL YOUR PETS / DOGS!!!! I called WeedMan and spoke with a friendly sales rep. I told her we have 3 (Gremlin) Palmerians who eat grass. (most dogs eat grass). I specifically asked over ten times if the pesticide service is organic and not harmful to dogs. She said YES, it is organic, and we have never had an issue. I asked her several more times as my wife, and I are very particular regarding being organic, and we grow organic vegetables yearly and NEVER have used anything toxic. Before the first Weedman treatment, the tech was nice. I again asked several times if their product was safe, and he repeated what the salesperson told me: "Yes, the pesticide is organic, and we have never had an issue." My wife came out of the house, and that was the first thing she asked him, "Is this poisonous to small dogs? Again, he stated it was organic and would not harm anything except the fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. After the first weedman treatment, he said to keep the Dogs in the house for 1 hour to ensure everything dries. We are overly cautious with our dogs and keep them in the place for over 5 hours. That evening, 2 of my dogs started acting strange, and PePe and Whitney threw up a foamy white vial. A significant amount. I thought it was food or something they ate and did not know of the Weedman treatment, as I was repeatedly assured that their products were not toxic. The next day, they seemed fine, but it took them a few hours to regain their energy levels. After the second Weedman treatment, Whitney was on the verge of Dying; she was like Jello when I picked her up. She was having issues walking (neurological problems), shaking, vomiting, and every sign of heavy toxic poisoning. On the second day in the hospital, they asked if I wanted to bring her home, as they said she most likely would not last another 24 hours. This caused our entire family such emotional duress it was unbearable. Here is what I wrote to the Owner (after spending $14,000.00 at the Vet). After seeing the main ingredient in the product, he immediately treated her for poisoning. Here is part of the Email: Chase, the WEEDMAN OWNER, after the recent treatment on June 26, 2023, all the dogs again displayed abnormal behavior and were not their usual selves. Whitney, who is typically energetic, exhibited notable changes and appeared lethargic. Concerned, I brought her to bed with me, and the following day, her condition worsened. She displayed signs of coordination problems and would fall over when she tried to walk; she refused to eat, which raised a red flag for me. Then, my wife reminded me that similar symptoms had occurred after the last treatment. Whitney's condition had deteriorated further by Wednesday, prompting us to seek immediate medical attention at VCA. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis, and we began the necessary treatment. However, her condition continued to worsen, and on Thursday evening, she was in a critical state. At around 11 pm, we rushed her to Nashville Pet Hospital, where she was promptly admitted to the ER and connected to an intravenous drip. Given the situation's complexity, Whitney's health continued to decline, leaving us with the devastating option of either bringing her home to spend her last day with us or pursuing alternative measures. It was an unimaginably emotional period for my wife and me, during which we always carried our phones and struggled to sleep. What Weedman doesn't want you to know. The main active ingredient is Bifenthrin. Do a Google search on that, and you will be blown away. I was so angry and considered these deceptive business practices that they continue today. Call them don't take my word for it. (see what they tell you "Bull Crap and lies") Bifenthrin is an insecticide used in yards and around homes to treat ants and other insects. Unfortunately, it is toxic to pets. Pets will have tremors or seizures as a sign of toxicity. Avoid using this chemical to protect your pets. What have they done to fix this? NOTHING Lawyer up WeedMan! read more

I gave Weed Man 3 years (seasons) to turn my yard around with the gamut of services. Taking matters into my own hands, far surpassed their service. Here's a statement: the two WORST looking lawns on the street are the only two with Weed Man tags (yards between without service are nicer - go figure!). Buy a spreader and get better results yourself, or seek a competitor. They have a plethora of excuses lined up too, but I'd heard enough. You took me for 3 seasons, won't be a 4th. This company is an absolute joke. There is no way they have this many good reviews without paying for them. It took 2 weeks for somebody to come out for my first service. The guy that was supposed to come out first canceled for personal reasons, ok fine, I'll let that one slide. The second time he called and said he "ran out of time" to get to my lawn and that someone would be out Monday or Tuesday. Well, you guessed it, nobody shows up Monday or Tuesday. I call the main office in the morning on Wednesday to complain and ask to speak to a manager. There somehow isn't one in the office, and they assure me that someone will reach out. Magically within the next hour my lawn gets serviced. However, the email they send says they just finished the SECOND treatment of my lawn. I paid up front for 4 treatments, and this was the first time they came out. Also, to this day I am still waiting on a call back. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR LAWNCARE HELP. read more

Their team wont spray in flower beds because their product will kill your landscaping plants. Thats fine, but NOT something they tell you. Additionally, if you ask a technician on site to do it- they wont tell you they cant; they will just ignore the request. This is what happened to us and when we called because it was so overgrown over several months, it wasnt until then when we learned of the flower bed restriction. This was our problem area we signed up for in the first place- so it was a waste of money for us. The good news is that their customer service was attentive and they cancelled right away. read more

My neighbors used this company so I was excited to work with them. However, it ended up being more of a hassle and a rip off. I'm in a duplex and with a shared a driveway. First thing is the logistics made no sense They would come x2 a month and block us in our driveway, when they could of schedule it at the same time to avoid that issue. Second, on more than one occasion they charged me...BUT DIDN'T SERVICE MY LAWN! I realized this when my ring doorbell caught them going to my neighbors house and not mine, even though I got the alert saying they were supposed to be at my house. This happened at least twice, but possibly more. When I called to explain the issue, they scheduled a 'touch up' service. When they came for the 'touch up' service (that should of been a full service) THEY ONLY DID HALF MY YARD. They didn't even attempt to go into the backyard and looking back on it, I doubt they ever did, except for the 1st time when I was here to show them. The receptionist was friendly, but the service sucks. If you work with this company, I suggest putting out cameras or monitoring closely so you don't get ripped off like I have so far. read more

We prepaid for yearly service for a discount. Clearly this was a huge mistake! They randomly show up when they feel like it you will receive no communication whatsoever. The only time you will hear from them is when they want to upsell you for additional services. They called and scheduled us for our annual aeration and overseeding. We cut the grass extremely short and preparation for that and flagged all of the irrigation heads. It has been over a week now with no treatment, no phone call, no response, and no explanation. We have called every day. We have left messages and been assured someone would call us within 24 hours. Our grass is now completely dead and we have yet to hear from anyone. I'm starting to wonder if they're going out of business. Update: 1-3 stars - After multiple social media posts the owner reached out and had someone call us and they had someone here within the hour to perform the service. It's unfortunate someone couldn't call us back in the eight days prior. read more

I would really urge people to go elsewhere. I used them for a year and my lawn actually got worse. I had always done a spring and fall fertilizer myself, but with kids I thought I let a professional take over. I ended up with more weeds, thinning spots, and a massive creep of Bermuda that invaded our fescue (lots of potential reasons here, but it hadn't happened in the previous 4 years we'd been here). I talked to the tech on a visit and he said they'd had a lot of problems with management, turnover, and techs not doing what they were supposed to do... he noted that he saw some weeds and put me down for a followup visit to treat them specifically. 4 weeks later, no return service. When I called to cancel they did have a manager reach out and try to keep me. He was polite, but also had an excuse for everything which just seemed to irritate me - I'm obviously unhappy with your service and don't think you've lived up to what I paid you for, and you want to try and qualify everything. He noted that they had me down for the return service I noted above and that just confirmed that I'd made the right decision. I don't know if they are short personnel or what, but I didn't feel like they cared or did anything specifically professional to my lawn. Switched to TruGreen and already much more impressed. Hopefully they keep it up. Hopefully Weed Man gets their issues straightened out. read more

First of all - they destroyed my yard last year with the aerator and didn't fix it til I called back twice. I just now received a call from customer service who offered many apologies and to "make it right" - I just would need to sign up for a plan that costs approx $273. WTF?! They destroy my yard and then expect me to PAY THEM AGAIN to fix it?! Unbelievable and insulting. Is that their business model - destroy the customer's yard so they can pay to fix it next year?! If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a complete scam. I initially spoke with Dan in sales at Weed Man and told him that I needed our beds maintained - talked about the weeds we had, etc. I agreed to the monthly service to maintain our beds and all of a sudden someone came out (three weeks later), knocked on our door and told me that he had sprayed our lawn (which I specifically told Dan that we did NOT need). I asked the man who was spraying the lawn why he had done so and explained that he was supposed to treat the beds only. He said that he wasn't there to do that and that he didn't have the right chemical on hand. He said he would alert the office and have someone call me. No one did. I was giving them some time and then, two days later, a man came out to treat our lawn again. I called the office immediately, spoke with Allison, and asked her to please have him stop, as he was supposed to be treating my beds. She then proceeded to tell me that they aren't licensed to treat beds (?). I explained the conversation that I had with Dan about the services I was interested in. I then asked them to review our recorded conversation, or notes, as I had asked Dan to ONLY treat our beds. As such, I would like a refund of the $139 they had charged me. Allison told me that she would speak with a supervisor and get back to me. Upon the return call, I was told that they refuse to refund me for the services. These are services not only did I specifically as them NOT to perform, which is completely dishonest, but then, called in and stopped at the beginning of the treatment. This company is a total SCAM. read more
