No experience with Bermuda Lawns... Weedman did a fabulous job with my old fescue lawn. I was excited to win a year of free lawn care at a festival. UNFORTUNATELY I moved to a new home with new bermuda sod. I have been told that Weedman hired a single resource who knows about bermuda lawns. I now have the worst lawn in the neighborhood and need to replace sod. Too Little too late for me! I contacted Weedman and got a supervisor to look at my weeds. These guys talk a good game and will flood you with literature. However when it comes to what they actually do, there literature says they will "blanket" your lawn with an application. I watched the guy go down one side and once across my lawn in about 5 minutes. Avoid them at all costs or it will cost you and you will not get what you pay for. read more

The weed man does a terrible job in caring for your lawn. I tried them for one season staring in March until August. I had to fire them. They are terrible. They killed my front lawn. It was much nicer last year before I started using them. By July, we realized that our yard looked worse than ever. Then they killed our lawn . They want to charge us to repair and reseed. They call them the Weed Man because this is what your yard will look like, weeds and weeds, if you use them. I had the best grass in the neighborhood until I switched to them. They also knocked out my invisible dog fence (twice) during aeration even though I painted a white line showing where not to aerate. This company is terrible. They bill you monthly and when you cancel services they continue to draw ACH from your account on file and stop all contractural services. HOW DO YOU BILL SOMEONE FOR NO SERVICES? We were hesitant to pay the money it was going to cost to treat our 3 acres or so but our weeds had gotten so bad they were just smothering the grass. Our front yard always had lots of bare spots and my husband had worked as much as he could to try to correct it. With the help of Weed Man and my husband planting a lot of seed this fall this is how my yard looks now. It has never been this thick and full or as green. My grass was doing great. I wanted to have someone come out and put fertilizer and weed kill out. Within 2 weeks it was all dead. I called and complained and Weed Man came back out and supposedly did a soil sample. I was told by the technician I had a fungus that killed my grass. So, I let them put a treatment for a fungus on the ground. That didn't work. I called and spoke with Weed Man and told him I was not going to pay them for killing my grass. The bill came to over $ 500.00. That was 2 years ago. I have tried to get grass to grow to no avail. Since there has been no grass on the yard the rain has washed out the dirt. It is down 3 inches on one side. I called a landscaper to look at it and was told since the lawn has washed out there needs to be a French drain put it for over $ 1,200.00 plus the cost to add and level my yard again. Total 1,900.00. Now if that isn't enough I found out Weed Man turned the $ 500.00 in on my credit! Stay clear from these jerks. read more

Weed Man is AWESOME! Was with another company prior to calling Weed Man. They could never find out why my grass would die as soon as it got hot. On one visit, the representative from Weed Man, diagnosed the problem and I have not had any problems since. I absolutely do NOT recommend this business. We had quotes done in April 2020, in which WeedMan quoted $220 for lawn aeration and seeding in the fall. We got monthly weed treatments with them throughout the summer. We were not impressed with the weed treatments, but understood it can take some time to tackle weeds and create a healthy lawn. When we tried to schedule or our aeration and seeding, Jason informed is that the price would be $268. We sent him our original quote and he said that the rep quoted wrong and it would be $268 now. That should be there fault, not ours. If you quote something, you should stand by it. He said "there's nothing to honor, it was a mistake." Horrible business ethics and he didn't hesitate at all when we said we wouldn't be doing business with them if they weren't honoring their quote. Customers are just numbers and whatever they tell you the cost is - they will change at any point without apology. Absolutely look elsewhere for assistance with your lawn!! read more

When I signed up to have my lawn treated, I was told that the first treatment would be two in one and that it would be $120 and after that, it would be $60 each time they came out. Well, the third time they came out, it was another "two in one" treatment for $120. I quickly cancelled because to get surprise double bills is insane to me! Totally inconsiderate!!! They used to be a 5 star company. Not anymore. Constantly missing whole sections of our area. Before, if there was an issue they were quick to resolve. Now there is always an excuse and a push off. Very high rate of turn around. Before the techs knew your lawns (personal and our HOA) and knew what was best. Now for the last year, all but a couple times, it was new techs that did not understand what to do. The worst is when they miss whole sections with pre emergence and then you are told there is nothing you can do until next spring or fall. I used to be such a pro weedman person and even would give out their name to neighbors as a reference. I would be proud to show their sign in my yard. Now I place the signs out in the area's full of weeds. For my personal area it is fine, but I don't like complaints from our community to me on the poor job weedman is doing. I stopped defending weedman this year to the HOA. I would look elsewhere. read more

Just wanted pre-emergent treatment. Discussed with the rep on the phone that I had weeds in a area that had little pebbles. He agreed to spray those areas as well. Same kind of weeds that were in my yard were in this area. After 2 applications the yard weeds melted away however the others didn't look like they had been touched. I called to ask for re-application and after leaving a message I received a return call. The rep wanted to argue with me saying weeds take a lot of multiple applications to die. After I asked why the same weeds died in the yard but not in the pebble area I was told that the chemicals sprayed only work on turf weeds. This was never mentioned before. He told me they would have to use a different chemical to kill these areas and that would be an additional cost. This was unacceptable to me due to the first conversation I had with the rep where I explicitly told him my main concern was these areas. It has been a week now and I was told someone would contact me and come look at the areas again. I have yet to hear from WeedMan. Several years back I had used them at a previous home and was satisfied with the services provided. I am unsure if they are under new management or have become too big for true customer service. I would caution anyone using WeedMan to make sure you have, in writing, what your expectations are to ensure you have a leg to stand on if things are not the way you want them. read more

Very disappointed in the work and response from weedman when I brought a problem to their attention. I had my lawn killed and reseeded in the spring. In June I noticed a lot of weeds popping up. I contacted weedman and they suggested their annual maintenance program. After the 3rd or 4th treatment I came out of my house and found my entire lawn killed. I stopped at their office and was basically told to bad. They claim that in all their paperwork that is a possibility, and I should read better. Their next claim was that I must have used dirty seed. I hired them for their expertise and feel that they should have known what should have gone down on my new lawn. They would be happy to come and reseed for me But of course I would be charged for that. So they took my money for yearly maintenance, killed my lawn and now want to charge me for a new lawn. Last year, I switched from another lawn care service to WeedMan in Vienna and am very glad that I did. My grass has never looked better, a comment frequently made by my neighbors. When I signed the yearly service contract for the first time, I was assured that WeedMan's grass seed was the best on the market. Since I have always used Merrifield's Tall Fescue, I was doubtful about Weedman's claims but, at the time, I was looking for a full service lawn care company so I decided to give Weedman a try. Weedman's grass did prove to be very full and healthy although I am still not sure that it is better than Merrifield's but it is at least competitve with it and possibly better. What was a bonus for me was that grass grew in my backyard in places where no grass had been able to grow in the past. Maybe it was a combination of Weedman's seed and fertilizer along with aeration, but I had used similar combinations before and still wasn't able to grow grass in certain parts of the backyard until now. During the year, my former yard service company would call me to win back my business but the positive results from Weedman were so apparent that any effort to woo me back was not likely to be successful. Weedman gave me a much improved lawn. I particularly liked my service technician who took a genuine interest in my lawn and offered advice on how I could assist in the effort to make my lawn better. In my opinion, Weedman has fairly priced its services and I am happy enough with the service to have already paid ahead for next year. read more
