I remember our first meeting, our rescue beagle absolutely took to him instantly which is about all I need to know. (Especially since she was usually more skittish of men generally.) We give them our beagle stamp of approval and a 5 barks review :) Updated review Here we are years later, still happily using Cutters Unlimited. One of my favorite days of the year is when Dan and his Cutters team come and do the annual tree clean up. They are a delight, bring so much joyful efficient energy. The trees on our lot and everything just looks beautiful and like it can breathe happier after they are here. I had reached out about a tree trimming and laying down some trees that have passed. Dan as always is so responsive. He came a took a look. I was a bit behind and had not reached out to schedule an appointment in the following month and a half. When to my delight he texted and said they were in the area would we like to do it midday. Fabulous to have something up and take itself off a long to do list. Our trees look so pretty and like they are not overcrowded with branches. Plus they help our canopy trees that are very tall but try to grow branches the rest of the way down that would compromise the health and nutrition going to the top of the tree. Very happy as always! Original review We reached out to Dan for a quote to have a few trees cleaned up and removed. We love the trees on our new property and wanted to give them the TLC they needed to thrive. In the decade prior, the trees had not been properly trimmed or maintained. We hired Cutters Unlimited. They book about 1-2 months in advance. They were very helpful when we had to wait to book due to another remodeling project finishing. Dan was so incredibly helpful in advising which trees were crowded, which were struggling and what we should do. He respected and worked with us to preserve and cultivate a better habitat for the trees. He also advised what we should remove as they were too close to our house, well or another tree. He is very knowledgeable on tree species and things like root systems. I wanted to make sure the root systems would not hurt parts of our home they were near. Dan is incredibly responsive. He always responds quickly and when he says he will be somewhere he is. I was so impressed by Dan's crew. They worked like a professional league sports team or in their case tree cutting & maintenance league. They showed up on time/early. Set up their trucks along the street and did not park on any neighbors yard only the street. They all had their tasks and were off to it. I sincerely appreciated their care when parking in front of neighbor's homes or using the driveway they were okayed to use. The team all had proper safety gear on and took care. Given how dangerous tree trimming can be this was wonderful to see how seriously they take safety. Had a lovely morning watching all their great work and enjoyed the product of their labors afterwards. Our home and trees look beautiful. We could not be happier with our experience and the results. I would go out of my way to recommend Cutters Unlimited, LLC. We had a very positive experience and we will use them again for our property's tree needs.

Mind you their truck and clothing had no company name or logo on it so all I knew was there were strangers trespassing in my backyard. It got to the point where our neighbors were calling us letting us know there were random guys in our backyard when we weren't home. After they then came back at a later date again unannounced to complete the job, my husband and I both noticed hardly any tree limbs were cut. Greg came back to our property to convince us the remaining limbs would not be a problem. Well lo and behold less than a month later a large tree limb fell off and hit our house. Thank God my kids were not outside playing or else this would be an entirely different conversation. Called the company to schedule them to come back, like Greg promised he would if we were unhappy, and it has been over a month of no contact, ignoring texts, and not receiving any communication besides the automated AI robot. If I could warn everyone against hiring this company I would. Again, my kids could have been playing outside like they always are and this tree limb could have landed on one of them. I asked for limb removal so it wouldn't land on my house and that's exactly what happened after paying for this job that obviously was not properly complete.

Just complete irresponsibility, lack of communication, lack of common courtesy and just plain BAD BUSINESS. Do not bother to call Tree Tech and absolutely do not count on them - even if they tell you they are coming (multiple times). Do not trust them. Logistically, it was a very challenging removal, which Layton's crew handled with ease. As a retired commercial construction and risk professional, I was impressed with their speed, efficiency, attention to detail, professionalism, and most importantly, their commitment to safety for their workers and clients. They follow through on their commitments, show up when they say they will, and clean up, leaving no trace they were even there. They have a certified arborist on staff and can provide expert advice on tree maintenance and proper removal methods. Their commitment to quality workmanship is evident in every way - from the highly maintained specialized equipment, rigorous use of safety equipment, workmanship, and courtesy of all workers. I agree with the other reviews that state "their reliability, attention to detail, and customer service were outstanding!" and that "5 stars may not be enough", as they routinely exceed expectations. Not only do I highly recommend them, but they are the ONLY tree service I recommend, as they are simply the best. ~ Tanya, Huntersville
