2025: Truthfully, I never wanted to hire any lawn care service. I thought they were a waste of money and I could take care of my lawn on my own. After battling with those spiky weeds - the kind you can't pull out with your hands - for almost 2 full seasons, I relented and called Weed Man. At this point, they had taken over our side yard. There was no grass left, only those weeds, in that area. Our front yard had an egregious amount of them as well, so we had to avoid walking on the grass and we couldn't let the dogs around it either. We started working with Weed Man halfway through this summer, and I cannot believe how much of a difference they've made in a short amount of time. I am kicking myself for not starting this sooner. People have complimented our yard for the first time since we bought the house! It's incredible. I really appreciate the work they do. I have been using Weed Man for the past two summers with some good results until now. I wanted my flower/bush bed sprayed for weeds. Ist spraying, no results. 2nd spray 4 new baby Spirea bushes were put to "death." These bushes were healthy, green & growing until Weed Man did their "death" spray. A representative from Weed man came to my house to assess the "death" of my baby Spireas. He claimed that there was still a little green & stated that their health was possibly "fungus." I purchased my baby Spireas last May & June. A tremendous amount of time, care, watering & money were put into the establishment of these plants. I am truly sick over the "death" of my baby Spireas & will be looking for someone else to care for my lawn & eradicate the weeds next season. My lawn has never looked this bad!! They use cheap products and then try to up sell me every time they come. The manager who came out told me he was fine with paying his water bill of $700.00 with fees to water in the 9,000 feet of sod he had put down this year. I was appalled to hear that, we are in a drought, and half the West is on fire and firefighters have died because of it. A representative of a lawn care company should be setting an example. Of course, they won't refund my money but offered me free aerating service, but it will cost $200.00 to over seed my dead lawn. Back to Tru Green it is read more

I do not recommend them. Service was relatively fine. Pricey but I was typically ok paying it for the results. 1- Be prepared for the constant upsells. That is not my problem. 2- I don't think it's asking too much to get a call from a manager when a service does not work. I put in requests and they never called. It's only the techs that show up for the work or to upsell you. Or you can call in and speak to the reception desk. 3 - We finally had a minor billing dispute and I finally cut their service. Funny enough, I'm getting phone calls now that they finally want to speak with me. Buyer be warned. You will only speak to junior staff members if there is ever an issue. That goes nowhere. I'd rather deal with a shop that manages customer relationships professionally as issues will inevitably arise. read more

Be cautious: My experience with The Weed Man started off positive but quickly turned into a major disappointment. The initial service was good; however, as time went on, their visits continued, and they ended up overspraying and overkilling my lawn -- spraying both the weeds and the grass when they were only supposed to spray my rock bed. I called the company, and Hayden came out, confirming that there was indeed an overkill and promising to schedule a reseeding. On the next visit, instead of reseeding, they applied even more weed killer. My lawn has never looked this bad. I requested a refund for that visit, as I believed the technician was there to reseed, not to apply more chemicals. I later spoke with Tarissa via email. While she did cancel my contract as requested, she refused to honor the promise to reseed my lawn. They are quick to take your money but refuse to honor their word or make things right.
