Derrick provided an estimate from photos I provided at his request. I told him I was getting a few estimates, and would get back to him. After scheduling him to do the work, he sent me a revised quote, stating that he had looked at the photos again, and might need two trailers. I agreed to the revised quote. On the day of removal he arrived and increased the pricing by another $250. I refused and selected another company to do the removal. His business is only 10 min from the location. I would think it would be a better business practice to do an onsite estimate to confirm the job scope. This was a waste of my time, as well as his own. read more

They showed at the time promised. They were delightful people and imagine my surprise when the owner told me that the job looked like bigger in the photos than in person and that he was going to drop the price! The short version: Hire these folks, they are great! Respectful, honest, and diligent in the extreme! The long version: Some friends in Rancho Cucamonga called for help this week, despite what honestly was not a significant Santa Ana wind event, the 40-year-old wood and plastic-sheet patio shade thingy collapsed behind their house crushing a lot of their favorite patio chairs and tables and such. In my youth, I would have rented a trailer and taken care of it myself but I am no longer a "spring chicken" as they say so... I asked for some recommendations. These folks were one of the recommendations and, to be honest, I had to flip a mental coin before I went with them... (I kinda liked their logo over the other suggested services, I often figure if someone spends the time to get a good graphic, they are better than the competition and in this case, I was right). I made a call and they showed up the same day, had a very professional attitude, a decent truck and trailer, and that "can-do" attitude that is hard to find anymore. They cleared away the large debris as well as the small debris and I barely lifted a finger (beyond calling them). As with anyone I hire, I watched them like a hawk but had nothing to worry about... next time I think I will be content to let them be while I have a beer and watch from a distance. Nice folks too, I had no worries about them being on my friends' property or any of that "dodgy" feeling you get from some contractors. That said, bottom line, I definitely recommend them in the strongest way I know how: I would hire them again and I would recommend them to my friends. read more
