First of all the shop is laid out so well... you dont see a store dedicated to boarding like this any more. Everyone in there is so knowledgable, you can tell they are all people that not only work for a board shop but also use the product themselves. There genuinely interested about there customers, there boards, and what they are planning on doing. They fixed/tuned our boards in 1 day, they gave us some amazing tips for getting back on the mountains, and there prices where very reasonable. I hope to continue boarding and will go to them first for all my gear!

They take excellent care of their customers especially for their boot fittings. I have never felt rushed or brushed off during the fitting experience. I have also rented skis here for my kids several times and I appreciate that you can trade in equipment as your kid grows during the season. This is 100% worth it for me because my kids like to outgrow shoes as soon as I buy them. I recommend Greenwood's for any skier no matter what your skill level is. They filled the tires that day to see if either tire would leak by the time they would work on it. (Pickup was scheduled out about a week.) One of the tubes did end up needing replaced, which they did. A couple of days before pick up I was talking to them on the phone about any other potential issues with the bike, and the gentleman was very professional and helpful. He told me about an issue he had observed when the bike was in the lowest two gears, but said that if I didn't ride the bike on those settings it shouldn't be that big a deal for now. Since I don't ride on those and am on a tight budget, I appreciated that he wasn't trying to push an extra sale by making the issue out to be worse than it was. I'll probably get around to having it fixed, but it's not a top priority for me right now. When I got the bike back it felt well tuned and good to go. The guys here were great.

As soon as I walked in, I saw everything recreational you could think of--bikes, bats, gloves, helmets--name it, they probably have it. It didn't take me long to find the gloves as they were right by the door. They were all clearly labeled for what type of ball you were playing - fast pitch, softball, etc. I looked through the softball gloves and found a lot of brand new ones (some of them were a pretty penny), and very few used gloves. Lucky for me, I came across a glove that fit my hand just right, was used and only cost $20! As I was checking out, I asked the girl at the register if she thought the glove looked like it fit me (I've clearly never played the sport before, lolz). She said yes and then asked me if I was going to be a first baseman. Errrr...I do not know. She went in to explaining the different kinds of gloves there are and that she could show me what other options they had. I respectfully declined, I was trying to ball on a budget. (Pun intended.) I asked her a little bit more about their business and she shared with me that they are a sister company of Plato's Closet and run in a similar fashion. You can sell your old stuff to them and get cash/store credit in exchange for your items. She also shared that this specific location (they have another one in Nampa) mostly has new items and only some used. Something to keep in mind when coming here - you might strike gold and find a solid deal like I did, but you also might end up with only brand new options available.

I needed up with a pair of skis and boots for around 250 which was great. The lady that helped me out explained the difference between alpine, XC and touring skiing and the advantages/disadvantages. I ended up going with XC skis cause of the low price to entry point. I'm glad I didn't read the negative yelp reviews before going here, as I found the shopkeeper to be very honest . I did buy one pair of ski pants that were a little speedy for me, but I'd rather support a brick and mortar from folks with good values that eBay or Amazon . I do need to point out how great they are at assisting folks even when super busy. When I came in there may have been 30-40 shoppers in the store, they assisted everyone with the same enthusiasm and professionalism. I'm also new to skiing and asked at least 50 or more questions before my purchase, they never became testy, short tempered or irritated with me. And the shopkeeper knew so much about skiing. I found a pair of red jelly shoes that will look cute with my balloon jeans. They seemed to have some great sales, too, though I wish I'd come earlier because there were hardly any sizes left in the shoes on sale. There were lots of employees around, but service was a little slow and we had to ask for help. I'm glad I finally checked Scheels out and will be back!
