The school has a very strong community spirit and has a real family atmosphere. The teachers are all lovely to deal with and a first class education is provided to all students. The location of the school is quite rural making it hard for anyone without transport to send their kids here but it still have a very active intake and is expanding every year. The school has had many closure threats over the years but have been able to survive these.

One teacher got an award for being one of the best primary science teachers in the U.K! There are only two specialist science primary schools in Northern Ireland and Creavery is one of them! There are plenty of excellent after schools activities and each child is definitely valued and respected. There are parents meetings regularly for each class to keep parents up to date with what is going on in the classroom which are very informative. It is a very busy school with brilliant staff who ensure that the pupils aren't disadvantaged in any way because the school is 'smaller'. There is also a great community spirit with plenty for parents to get involved in eg craft & craic, bumps & buggies and lots more. The intake has been increasing every year and that is no surprise. Most importantly our daughter loves going to school and is very happy there. We highly recommend Creavery Primary School.

I feel I got an amazing education here and always found my teachers to be fair and knowledgable. That is to say, looking back on it now I feel I got an excellent education here. At the time I didn't think that much about it, I just went to school, messed around and came home again. The school has a bit of a mixed reputation now to be honest, since the long term principal left this place is said to have went to the dogs a wee bit but if you are considering sending your kids here you should call in and check the place out. It has a bit of a rubbish website, which never bodes well for a professional institution but as I say, just call in and see whats what.

Fortwilliam (as it's more commonly known) was my secondary school and I have to say, I have nothing…read morebut fond memories of the place. Structurally, it's unrecognisable compared to how it was when I was a pupil. Thanks to a massive grant, the entire school was pretty much rebuilt. It was much needed though, because Fortwilliam used to be one of those schools that was about 50% mobile classrooms (some of which had been around from the 1950s! Actually.) Now, it's a thoroughly modern school with all the amenities you could expect from a grammar school. I always found that the staff at the school really cared for the pupils, and as a result there was a real sense of community about the place. I'm sure some would disagree with me, but my experience was that I made some true friends there and was supported the whole way through my years there. Aw...I'm feeling all nostalgic now...must go set up a Fortwilliam Appreciation Society on Facebook!
