Can't beat the price! It's a nice course to push the ball around for an hour or so. Greens are just okay, but the owner/operator was more than willing to make it a good experience. He even came out to one of the middle holes to explain how to play a blind tee shot. It was one of the best shots I've ever made! Gotta love Wedgwood Golf Course. It might be a short, par 29, nine hole course, but you've got to hit good shots to score well. It's owned and managed by a couple named John & Ellen. They also had a course up in North Dakota. I think they would run one during the winter and the other half of the year they were at the other course. Super nice people and John is a player. Don't play him straight up...you'll need to handicap it and take your strokes, especially if you are playing at Wedgewood. They sold the North Dakota course and are here full time now. No tee times needed, just show up and they will take care of you. You can rent pull carts and they have a few electric carts, but it's really a walking course. They've got a couple of par fours and the rest are par threes. Local rules listed on back of scorecard read: 1. ONE tee shot. NO Mulligans 2. Keep Electric Carts 15 feet from greens and OFF Tee areas. 3. Keep pull carts OFF greens, tees and collars. 4. Repair ball marks on greens and replace divots. 5. NO hitting from lawns. Lawns are out of bounds. Drop ball within 2 club lengths from point where ball crosses out of bounds line. One penalty stroke. 6. Lost ball or unplayable lie in woods: Drop ball within 2 club lengths. One penalty stroke. 7. Observe golf etiquette - if there is an open hole ahead, SPEED UP or allow faster players through! 8. CLEAR greens IMMEDIATELY after putting out. 9. Shirts required! Nine simple rules for this awesome little track. These local rules are very fair. In fact, the actual rules of golf are more penal, so go by these when you play and you should score better. It's a bit of a hike to get to, but it's worth playing. It's close to Black Bear and there are several other courses in the area. I would suggest playing Wedgewood either before or after another round at one of the 18 hole layouts nearby like Red Tail or Eagle Dunes. Avid players will really appreciate this course but I recommend it to all players because it is in good shape and the people are nice. Bring your short game or you'll be grinding like you are at any of the championship courses in town. This game is tough no matter what the yardage or target score! read more

Course is in great shape, especially for a 9hole track that costs ~7$ to walk. The owner is a nice guy who goes out of his way to accommodate you. I play it whenever i can, takes about an hr to play with a 2some. Enjoy! read more

Wonderful gem of a course! If you are looking for a pleasant rustic course you will enjoy it. Golf carts are available or it's an easy course to walk. Owners are welcoming and rates are excellent! You can't go wrong if you want to play an executive course and have a great day! read more

We recently moved to the neighborhood across the street from Wedgewood. We were so excited that this would be a course where our daughter could learn to play golf. My husband is an avid golfer and has been playing since he was a child. He was thrilled to have a golf course so close to home where he could take her to expose her to the game and rules. Not only is the course close to home, it is pretty run down as well and never busy. Perfect place for a child to learn. (Ha!) With beautiful weather and wanting to spend quality time with his daughter, my husband took our 3 year old daughter there to ride along with him while he played 9 holes. The owners refused to let him bring her while he played! (She was not running around screaming or acting crazy...she is a very well behaved little girl) Apparently their no children allowed rule came from an 11 year old taking a chunk out of the green. It is so unfortunate that these owners have such a poor sense of community and a lack of appreciation for the game of golf and the relationships it can build. Even though I don't play golf now, some of my fondest memories as a child are playing golf with my father. These owners could have had customers for life and been part of a little girl's love of the game, but unfortunately my husband and daughter were not welcome at their course. They should be ashamed of the way they run their business. Instead he took her to the Country Club of Mount Dora (a FAR nicer course) where they allowed them to play without question. read more
