My husband and I can't recommend her highly enough. In the months leading up to the wedding, she was so easy to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Melanie had a timeline of everything that needed to get done (even the little things) and she made sure we were on-schedule. She gave us excellent vendor recommendations (people told us that the food was the best they've had at a wedding, and the band was a huge hit as well!). She was extremely responsive and would even have us send her things we liked from Instagram for inspiration. Every time we got off the phone with her we would look at each other and say "I'm so glad we have Melanie on our team." She kept us on-budget and helped us understand what it was worth it to spend on as we searched for venues, caterers, bands, flowers, and more. During the wedding week and weekend, Melanie kept everyone calm and on-task. She made sure all the tents, tables, chairs, etc were delivered on-time and everyone was where they should be. She took care of all the "little things" that we didn't think of and even coordinated our rehearsal. The event was beautiful, and we owe a lot of that to Melanie's tasteful suggestions. (She also let us borrow a lot of her own things like signs and a cake stand.) Melanie was always one or two steps ahead of us on wedding day, and we didn't have to think about where we should be for photos or speeches- we really go to enjoy the day and be present. She was there until the last guest had gone home. I 100% recommend Melanie, and can't imagine how we would have done it without her.

After the first time I talked to Melanie on the phone, I knew I was going to have to make room for her in my budget, and I can say that, it really was, without a doubt, some of the best money I spent. Simply put, Melanie d-e-f-i-n-e-s the phrase "on top of things." I am a very organized, detail-oriented person, but she blew me away. Leading up to the wedding, she was consistently offering suggestions, alternatives, support, and laughter. The day of my wedding, although I maybe only saw her twice, she worked pure magic. She anticipated what I'd need or want, and things would just appear on the head table before I realized what it was I needed or wanted. It can be a very stressful day since there is a lot going on, but Amy was very laid back and directive by keeping photos moving on time without feeling rushed. She did a great job at selecting beautiful backgrounds and locations that really captured the vibes and theme of our wedding. She had lots of really creative ideas, especially taking us out for a moment before she left to take some night pictures. Amy and Karina were never in the way, but when I found a group of friends I wanted a photo with at the reception, I would turn around and they were always there and ready! I described to Amy how we didn't want to just capture the "traditional" wedding photos, but also plenty of candid photos of our guests, and she was extremely open and receptive to that. We had reached out to a few DJ's, but Eric had the best rates/packages & all 5-star reviews. He helped us out with a questionnaire to get started & fine-tune the package for our day. We went with the Party Package, added an extra hour & he cut us a fair deal to supply music & a microphone for our ceremony (located down a field by the Connecticut River). Eric is prompt with answering emails & phone calls. We had a FaceTime chat for about 90 mins so that we could "meet" him & talk more about what we needed. He has great ideas & can be trusted to play suitable music for any crowd. Our wedding guests were an average age of 50-ish; he played some of the classic wedding dance music. He also listened to us with our "Do Not Play" list which is very important. Like, he even agreed that our list was agreeable & wouldn't want the songs played at his wedding, either. I'd say Eric is more than a DJ; he is also a great coordinator. I saw him teaming up with our photographer to make sure things were smooth. He interacted with guests & was walking around to announce what was happening next & telling tables when it was their turn to go up to get their dinner. Even so, I was blown away when I attended the wedding. He had the best selections and does not have that cheesy DJ voice (you know what I'm talking about). Everyone there was talking about what an amazing job he did. 'Best DJ I've ever heard' was commonplace to hear throughout the evening. I just met up with my friend today, 4 months after her wedding, and she was still talking about what a great job Eric did and how she got so many compliment on him. Joan was recommended to me by a friend and I never actually met her until my wedding day, but she immediately felt like an old friend there to enjoy our special day with us. She made me (and my husband, who is camera shy) feel comfortable in front of her camera, which I know isn't always easy. Taking pictures didn't feel like a chore because we spent the whole day laughing (and crying) while taking them. She captured the most special day of my life so beautifully and I will forever cherish those memories. Joan sent us sneak peeks the night of the wedding which of course prompted more tears. She sent a few more teasers along the way and then we had the full gallery within a month of our wedding day. By the time she was done editing there were still 600+ of them and somehow even with that many - each photo told a story. I printed some for a photo album and before I knew it I had 400+ prints so it's clear I loved her work. I highly recommend Joan for any event!
