This is the third time we ordered flooring and we couldn't be happier. From the selection to installation, they truly are the best. Ann at the front desk was helpful in the selection and scheduling of our LVP and carpeting. Cody helped with picking out our bathroom LVP. Their installers were top knotch and our 100+ year old house certainly was not an easy install. Looking forward to redoing our kitchen, 1/2 bath and entry flooring in the future. Recently we had Wecker's flooring center install luxury vinyl flooring in a small bedroom at my parents home. My mom did not want to use them because of a previous bad experience she had with them about 15 years ago. I assured her that Wecker's was the BEST and that her experience would be much better this time. Well, I was wrong. They completely failed in every aspect of this small project. The quote was higher than anticipated, but we proceeded with the job. My parents are 87 and 86 both with mobility challenges. So the night before the install, I moved everything out of the room which was not ideal because this created limited walking areas for them. I stopped after work the next day expecting to see a completed room. It was not done, they did not have the transition piece from the hallway to the room or the shoe molding around the entire room. They told her that it had not come in so they would have to come back. The next day, the salesman Bob called to follow-up on how she liked the floor. She told him it wasn't done, he had NO clue that they didn't finish the job. He called back later and said, "you were right, we didn't finish". He told her they would be out sometime next week. Really? An entire week we have to live with a room completely dismantled. Anyone with elderly parents understand that every day is a challenge even when things are "in place". New furniture was scheduled to be delivered the following Tuesday so we needed an exact date. I stopped at the store on my way home from work and my frustrated grew. No one was on site who had a clue what was happening. They called the people who "would know" and guess what, they didn't have clue. Come to find out they weren't waiting on a delivery, the parts needed stained in-house. They had total control of the entire process and failed. I asked why they even proceeded with the installation of they didn't have all the materials since they had control of it. No good answer. The salesman wanted me to call him. So I called Bob, who proceeded to question me as to what had to be moved out of the room and why were my parents inconvenienced? I don't understand why he needed to know this, it is none of his business. We are the paying customer, we are telling you we are inconvenienced, that is all you need to know. After about 30-40 minutes at the store and me losing my mind completely, they finally told me they would be out the next day at 10am. I stopped at my parents to let them know and Bob called me back. He wanted to tell me just to move everything back, my parents aren't inconvenienced until they can get this done. I told him, they would be out tomorrow so I wasn't moving anything. He asked me who told me that, I said I just left the store and that is what they told me. Apparently, they do not communicate. They had no documentation about what was happening with this job or how they were going to resolve it. They couldn't even tell me if the material had been stained OR when it would be stained. The one guy went out to the shop to check and said he couldn't tell what was what so nothing was identified. They only item they ensured we had in a timely manner was the bill. My family will never do business with Wecker's again. read more

I gave this company every chance to do the right thing and they have continually failed...from the owner down to salesman, john. Its rare for me to write one-star reviews, but these folks have truly earned it. Last year we paid over $5000 to have karndeen floors installed in 3 rooms. This is supposed to be luxury vinyl tile. Installers were going to put up unfinished footers, so my husband and I stayed up until midnight the night before the project painting them. Never mind our day jobs. Then, Installers never put putty and stain over installed footers... until last week after my second or third call. Did I mention this was done last year? John never returns calls. Manager acts like he cares but also does not return calls. My floor is conspicuously WARPED in several key locations. Installer agrees and has pics to prove this. But they won't fix it because they insist it's my subfloor that all of a sudden has issues (in so many areas?) and they'd have to charge me again to make this right. My house is a young 10 years old. The installer promised he'd have owner contact me after seeing these pics of my warped floor. Ha! Surprise! !! Wanna take bets if I got that call? Please do yourselves a favor if you're reading this. Go to carpet and tile mart in York! Had my kitchen tiled by them. Perfect job. Completely finished footers. Cleaned up their mess. Made sure we were satisfied. Returned our calls. And oh yeah...cost 1/2 as much $$$ as Weckers. Don't make the mistake I made of thinking more money spent equals quality. Don't do business with this company; they don't stand behind their products and blame my subfloor....They'll blame yours too! And then they won't call you back. I will add photos in the next few days.( I added several obvious photos that showed floor warping but weckers took them down. Hmmm. Why?) Posted after owners response. No. They don't take pride in the workmanship, and why should I keep emailing or calling when they are clearly denying there is a problem?? His own response shows this. These photos are not optical illusions. These floors are warped. You can see they look like the ocean! The installer said it to me! He even took his own picks to show owners. Go elsewhere unless you want excuses and to spend more money to make a $5000 floor look professional. From beginning to end, our experience at Wecker's was amazing. We worked with Jay Lucia and Jay was on point every step of the way during our flooring upgrade. There were no hidden costs and when Jay told us something was going to happen, it happened on that day and went exactly as Jay told us it would go down. Wecker's has there own flooring installers and these guys absolutely smoked our install. I was amazed at the specialized tools/tricks these guys had from dozens and dozens of flooring installs. Our bathroom was in dire need of work and we heard good things about this place. The first think that struck me was that the salesman had all the enthusiasm of a bag of wet potatoes. He did come out to look at our bathroom and agreed that it would need work. He said we would need plumbing work done as well and connected us with a contractor. The contractor evaluated everything and said he would get back to us with a quote. We called back every two weeks for two months with zero response. It did not seem like Wecker's or the contractor were eager to do business even though we had the means to pay for all the work up front. read more

Installers delivered flooring into my in-laws house and did not wear masks. When they commented to the office they were told that they "had their opinions about that". They apparently know more than medical professionals and they have no problem risking the health of their customers to prove it. read more

Wish I could give a Negative Review! Anyone who has bought flooring from these idiots obviously has done so only once, which is all they care about for how they treat you after sale. Called them to get a fill in piece for a carpet I bought maybe 2 months ago - The nasally, whiny little princess I spoke to on the phone was not only dumb, but rude. No doubt somebody's relative, as her bad attitude showed from the get go, when I was actually trying to give them more business. Really, how stupid can you be?????? ! Ask Weckers, apparently, pretty much so. What a disappointment. Again, it's obvious the only thing they care about is that first sale, because they sure don't want to know you past that from my experience. Negative Rating if possible. Here's the best part too - Little Princess also told me on the phone that 'THE OWNER DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY, ANY, ANY, ANY, REPEAT, ANY, PERSONAL PHONE CALLS, EVER., He just doesn't! He's too busy! Wecker's has been our choice since we moved back to York in 1998. They installed hardwood in our living room, dining room and foyer a few years ago. Luxury vinyl (looks like wood) was installed in our family room and master bedroom. We are presently having them install luxury vinyl in my dad's basement. I will never buy anything from this company again. Weckers They subcontract people out to do their work they did $3400+ damage to the interior of my home in appliances kitchen table moldings , Sliding glass door. The job had to be done twice! Due to large imperfections in the kitchen flooring! On top of everything Else also was going to let them do carpet in all 3 bedrooms that I ordered all at the same time and the manager of the store politely told me he didn't want my business anymore. Which I thought was very rude and very unprofessional. Like I did something wrong!! They will never get my business again. They need to reevaluate Who their subcontracting out to this is a reflection on their company name! It's really is a shame to have a local business in our area that can turn down business due to there contractors negligence! And blame it on their customer! So people please beware! update; as you can see D Wecker still defending his subcontractors if you are indeed a professional you shouldn't be damaging customers items to the extent of $3400 but Mr. Wecker don't seem to understand that and Mr. Wecker I'm so glad we're parting ways. I will never shop at your store again. what Mr. Wecker seems to not understand that his subcontractors indeed represent the name on his store. which I have told him several times. Weckers did not pay for the damage the subcontractors insurance company paid for all my damages so I want to make that clear. if you're a professional and if you don't know how to move large items than maybe he should have had someone do it that has common sense not to carry large items by there selves or the appropriate professionals to do so and yes Mr.Weckers did replace my whole floor because it was extremely necessary for it to be replaced do to the workmanship of the subcontractors work. Something that should've been a pleasant experience ended up being a total nightmare an extremely frustrating and very stressful for me and was not compensated for all the extensive work I had to do to get paperwork together for the purchases of all the items that they destroyed for the Insurance company and reordering furniture appliances etc. talking to the insurance company meeting with the adjuster that was time out of my life to rectify this situation. so Mr Wecker it my pleasured to never do business with your company again. and one thing I'd like to add that Mr. Wecker never contacted me afterwards to see if the insurance company did indeed take care of everything . so I guess he assumed that we were taken care of. yes Mr.Wecker you did upgrade to a better vinyl due to my request not yours because the first flooring was so cheap the backing was breaking off the back of the vinyl causing dips and imperfection in the looks of the flooring. and let me add it was a discontinued upgraded vinyl so the cost was the same. no apologies needed from you you just need to take care of business on your end and hire better subcontractors and stop making it sound like your customer has done something wrong that's bad business on your end. when a subcontractors is on their hands and knees with a hammer trying to hammer out imperfections in the floor that are all over the floor and putting larger dents in the floor is just over the top! because they rip the floor by scooting the washer and dryer back in to place and he wants to glue the rip piece and hammer down. now that's good Vinyl !! as your salesperson promise. I wasn't planning on going to all this detail on here but it seems like you're not understanding the fact in this matter. and rudely comment that you don't want my business anymore. needless to say I don't want to deal with your business anymore. read more

Stop in Weckers store for wood flooring. Sean was showing us an engineered wood floor plank. I asked him how many layers of wood were in the panel he made a comment that he did not know what I was talking about. My wife wanted to work with Cody as she dealt with him for some carpet installation in our home in the past. Cody came to our home and made measurements and said it would be a couple of days until he would have the quote finished. Well one week later we received no response back by either phone, email, or USPS. We called Weckers and they said he sent it to my wife's email. We checked her email (also span/junk folder) nothing. I called Cody's phone got VM and left a messaging stating we have not received anything and to use my email. Still nothing. Then we called Weckers and they said Cody was still working on the quote and he would email when complete. Well 4 weeks later no follow up calls or emails. At this point we have elected to abort dealing with Weckers. I guess they think they are the only flooring business in town. You decide if you want to do business with someone like this. read more

great story here: Monday- I decided to get a new mattress after having a great night sleep in a Marriott in Pittsburgh. I pulled off the sheets and found it was a Sealy Posturpedic. Went to Wolf's furniture and ordered a king size, my wife decided she wanted to change the poster bed too. Wolf asked if they can deliver on Saturday and we said yes. Wednesday - My wife decides she hates the color of the room. I call my painter and said I have to have it painted by Saturday he agreed to do it Friday morning. Thursday - I cleaned out the room for paint prep and We decided holy crap the carpet needs done too. it was almost midnight.. Friday 7a.m. woke up in the guest room and I called Dan Wecker and asked what's the fastest job you ever pulled off. He arrived at my house to measure at 8a.m. and we followed back to his warehouse picked out the carpet. Saturday 8:30 am. Weckers installers arrived removed old carpet, hammered in any loose squeaky boards and installed beautiful carpet in the bedroom and hall way before noon.. also fixed the carpeted steps with no additional charge. They were so professional and very considerate of my house I was blown away. all this got done, paint, carpet, bedroom suite delivered all before my wife returned from a trip to Pittsburgh. it was like a reality TV show. except she picked out the paint color and carpet.. Sunday night my wife returns and was so happy she screamed. " it's the bedroom I've always wanted! " Thank you Dan at Weckers carpet and Thank you Jim my painter. on september 17 & 18 your service men remove & replaced our carpet which had not lived up to expectations. we had called jerry argie sales manager and told him of the excessive unusual wear on 6/25 of thisyear and he came out & inspected it. he informed the manufacturerer, shaw, & they worked with you to correct the situation what a beautiful solution: replacment of the carpet with no cost to us. our deepest thanks to weckers, shaw and to jerry and the installers matt, & zack those work was excellent. we have been a weckers customer for a good number of years & will continue to look to you for our future floor needs. rest assured we will continue to recommend you to anyone who asks us for the best flooring services company in the central pa read more
