I would think this location is quite popular but it didn't seem too busy. Parking is not an issue which is a plus. Inside feels slightly dark and small compare to what I'd hope for in a bank but since I don't visit the bank too often, environment is not too important as long as my transactions are done accurately and securely. Waiting time was around 10 minutes, there was only 1 financial advisor person working so we had to wait until the current customer to finish. Heard they don't have a lot of traffic flow there. During the one hour we spent there, we didn't encounter too many people. From all the Santander financial representatives I've encountered, I haven't had a bad experience yet. They all have the common traits of willingness to help/listen and patience. I always felt comfortable with them and feel like they cared about my opinions and feedback. Santander bank is awesome but this location itself is not as favorable as other branches I have visited which includes south Windsor and Manchester.

Recently I had to make a wire transfer of funds to another state, so I called ahead to ask how the process works. I got Marguerit on the phone and, after a few minutes of incoherent blather, the message I was left with was, "I can't guarantee anything." Exasperated by this exchange, I called the Farmington Avenue branch in West Hartford, and the process was explained clearly and simply. The day of the wire transfer came around and I found myself at Marguerit's desk. I calmly handed her the instructions I was sent by the title company, adding that we needed to call them for the routing number. "I'm not calling anyone." she replied. I walked out. Berkshire Bank is the worst bank EVER! I was a former SI…read morecustomer for 32 years and Berkshire Bank recently bought them out... I havmd more problems in the 2 months after the switch over than I did in 32 years with SI! EXAMPLES: They put a HOLD on everything! They put a hold on my PAYCHECK after there were 2 NOTES on my account to not do so! They put holds on CASH DEPOSITS thru the ATM!!! Last week I wanted to do a cash deposit thru an ATM on WEDNESDAY and they told me the funds would be held until MONDAY!!!! MULTIPLE ATMS down (not working) MULTIPLE TIMES! One night I had to drive 12 MILES out of my way to find any ATM that worked! FINALLY...worst customer service EVER!! Every problem that was bought to their attention...their response was "Nothing I can do about that!" Also, made several calls to customer service and every time was PROMISED a follow up call...NEVER received one! I would like to acknowledge two wesome employees in the Hebron branch who always took care of me with a smile...Erica and Tracy Rose...these 2 women always tried their best to take care of whatever problems I had! Kudos and hats off to them!! In closing, I have since closed my account and use my account at another bank... I looked into several banks further down Farmington or on Main Street and they lacked free and easy parking so I chose Bankshire. Bankshire is a brand new facility with their own parking lot for easy access. The staff are friendly (I met with Jerry) and I love that they have accounts that are actually free with no monthly charges. I was able to open up an account without a minimum balance and it was all painless. They also have online banking, debit cards, bill pay etc like you would expect from a modern bank. I think I'll be happy here.
