Simplicity isn't the issue but how SCU conducts themselves (this branch in particular). While they provide you with a manual after becoming a member, it misses out in explaining some crucial details, i.e., how many days for a deposit to clear or when your account maybe activated--even their telephone bank services are unreliable since my account over the weekend. I missed out on traveling this weekend cause of it. Both oversights like these and rude workers makes banking with this company irritating. Perhaps if they focused on communicating with their customers more often or updating their phone customer service more people would join them more often. Behind all of the weird check clearances, some passive aggressive workers, lack of communication, and impracticalities. I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone enjoying to splurge their wealth and love to travel.

I spoke to a rep who told me I could only do it if I make a payment after the 1st and before the 16th of the month. When I try to make a payment online, the system tells me that it will not allow the extra payment, as no payment is due and I need to contact the bank. I have never run into this issue with any other bank. Clearly it benefits the bank if you do not pay towards your prinicipal, thus why they make it so difficult.

The service I received at this particular branch of Citizen's Bank was very disappointing. What…read morehas happened to customer service as of late? This is the second time I have gone through an entire transaction without being spoken to or rarely looked at. The attendant motioned me over with a head nod, performed the transaction quickly, and handed me my cash without even looking up. While I was in and out of the branch quickly and efficiently, I would sacrifice some of my time spent for a little human interaction. Or perhaps even a small indication of emotion on the employee's part. Maybe next time I'll forget to write a number or withhold my license in an attempt for words being exchanged :-P. On a lighter note, supermarket branches are extremely helpful and easy to get to. The line is generally short, unless its a weekend or peak time in the grocery. I will continue going to this location for its convenience. The branch should consider a short educational video on human interaction and common courtesy for its employees.
