Viking Tree will steal your money and never complete the work…read more On 1/22 I paid $400 to Adam via cash app, to cut down my tree. He came to my home, into my house, had me sign a contract, and at that point I made the payment for the deposit to do the work. They were to arrive to do the work on 1/26, assuming the weather was good. They did not come, and from that point moving forward, continued to give me dates that they would complete it and then end up rescheduling, either for weather or problems with their house. I was incredibly understanding, and just happy to find someone who could work within my budget of $800 ($400 deposit, $400 due when done). On 2/27, a month later, Adam told me they would be here on the Monday of the following week. Again, they didn't show up, and this time they didn't follow up with me. I reached out several times between 2/27-3/13 with no response. I found the copy of the contract I signed, and confirmed that the deposit was non-refundable if I cancel, but refundable if ADAM cancels or breaches the contract, which they have done. I tried calling Adam on 3/15 with no answer. I finally decided to just dispute the charge with Cash App and my bank. I sent another message letting him know that was the plan, and wished them the best, because I truly hope that in all of this, Adam and his family are healthy and safe. Turns out that thiefs and scammers win. Cash App cannot reverse the charge, and my bank cannot do anything about it. So looks like they get to keep the $400 that they apparently scammed out of me. Stole from me. Knowing full well how hard I had to save to get that money to them for the service. I do hope they are well, and that nothing awful has happened to cause Adam to steal from me. But I will be reporting them to the police and I have reported them to Cash App as a scammer. I just want everyone to be aware that this is the kind of business they do.... take your money and vanish from your life with no work ever being completed.

We had a disappointing experience working with Adam and Viking Trees. Viking Tree was contracted…read morefor crew of 3 for 5 days of tree removal and cleanup at a daily fixed rate. The contract that we agreed upon stated the following: Removal of all diseased evergreens Removing 1/3 of overgrowth Remove bamboo Clean up yard and garden area Use fungicide injections (3 trees) Remove disease branches from all save-able diseased evergreens Prune remaining trees, poison stumps (updated to remove one large tree) Remove all invasive maple and tree starts Other than the one tree removal, work was done poorly, incomplete and large amount of debris left behind. Compensation for the desirable wood from the tree removal was never discussed or offered. Crew was short staffed most days, arrived late, and left early. Debris was not removed daily. A small trailer was used even though a larger dump trailer was said to be available. This resulted in debris being piled on the lawn and having to move debris twice. In the end, garbage was left on the property and large amounts of tree logs, bush and branches were left. Several followup agreements were made to remove debris, however after 2.5 weeks another company was hired to haul off the debris. Day 1: Start time: 9:45 am. Work ended around 3:30-4 pm. Approximately 4-5 hours was spent by 3 crew members cutting down a Walnut which we were initially told only needed dead branches removed, however, we were informed that the entire tree was diseased and needed to be removed. As a result, Adam agreed to remove the entire tree and haul it away. This tree was later determined by us to be a desirable black walnut wood and Adam offered no compensation for the recovered wood. No other work was completed. Day 2: Start time: 10:30 am. Work ended around 2:30-3 pm. Crew left early to go work another job. Only 2 crew members showed up that day. The diseased walnut tree was left with large branches on the ground. No other work was completed. Day 3: Start time: 10:30 am. Work ended around 3:30-4 pm. Adam left early to work on another job. Only 2 crew members showed up that day. Walnut was still left. Some pruning was completed with branches and debris left in front and backyard. We were informed that there was an inadequate trailer so branches would be hauled off once they acquired an adequate trailer. Day 4: Start time: 10:00 am. Work ended around 3:30-4 pm. Only 2 crew members showed up that day. Pruning was done and some invasive maples were removed. Crew left around 2-3 pm.. Day 5: Start time: 10:30 am. Work ended around 4:30 pm. 4 crew members showed up that day. Bamboo was partiallyremoved, fungicide injections were used, diseased branches were cut. Yard and the garden area was not cleaned. We were promised that over the weekend the large branches, trash, and debris left would be hauled away. The lumberman who cut the walnut proceeded to mill the wood and selectively take boards to resell for himself. Large trunks of the walnut were left.
