Webber Park is one of those hidden gems that really has something for everyone. It's a huge space -- perfect for all kinds of activities, whether you're out for a casual stroll, a picnic, or a full-on beach day with friends.
One of the standout features is the massive volleyball court -- easily one of the biggest I've ever seen. It's a great spot to get a game going, and there's plenty of room around it for other activities. You'll also find open benches and charcoal grills throughout the park, making it an ideal place for a laid-back picnic or BBQ with family and friends.
But the real highlight? The natural swimming pool -- completely chemical-free and free of charge. It's such a unique experience. The pool has a lap area that's 6' 3" deep, and there's a kiddie pool located kitty-corner to that, so there's something for all ages. If you're looking to swim laps, check out their website for info on how to book lanes -- everything is free or very affordable.
There are a few tips and things to be aware of:
No food is allowed in the pool area -- the rules are strict.
They require specific types of swimwear, so check that before you go.
There are no chairs, so bring blankets or towels and relax in the grassy areas.
Bathrooms and rinse-off stations are available near the pool.
There are lockers, but you'll need to bring your own lock.
The pool floor can be a bit mossy and slippery when you first step in -- just something to be cautious about.
Honestly, this place is such a well-kept, family-friendly spot. It might be a great idea for the city or park team to set up a suggested donation box -- the space is so well-maintained and offers so much at little to no cost. We will definitely be back! read more
