I have worked here for almost 3 years and I can honestly say if I had kids, I'd have no problem…read moresending them to school here. The faculty are amazing. We are like one big family and we work well together and support each other. Most importantly, we are always trying new ways to better cater to each child's education. We care about each and every child that walks through our doors and if a child is struggling, we search until we find a way to help them. That's the kind of school we are. Do not ever hesitate to send your child here. They will be well take care of!

Run, far and fast away from this place. The negative reviews show the true colors of this "school"…read moreThe positive reviews are written by paid staff, friends of the director or owners. Read the negative reviews and base your decision off that. The Owner's will respond spouting off about their "Vision, Values and Mission" but they don't care about any of it. It's there to help them rope you in and make money. They only care about money not about the children or the parents. I am sure they will respond here with the same canned responses they give every other negative review. They refuse to resolve issues face to face, through email or over the phone "they don't have a contact number" yea sure they don't have a phone. Attached to this post will be pictures of all the reasons we decided to remove our child from this "school" please be wary of the positive posts on here. The staff does not seem to care about anything going on, and are there to just pick up a paycheck and could care less what happens with our children. We have brought up issues multiple times with the director, and given plenty of time for the issues to be resolved, however the director seems to brush off the issue and no resolution was made, hence our choice to remove our son from this "school" If the owners of the "school" would like to discuss this information further with us, they can feel free to give us a call ( Not email , not canned responses to this post a genuine phone call); if we do not hear from them , then we will assume they do not have concern for the health and well being of the children in their facility and are only in the business to make money.

I couldn't be happier with the teachers, administration and facility. We moved here from FL 3 years…read moreago. This is the 2nd facility that our child has been to. The reason why we especially love Barfield Academy is they take time to teach the children instead of letting TVs babysit them. My child has grown immensely since attending. The focus on manners, ABCs, 123s and overall just being a good respectful little person make my wife and I very happy. I know there has been some turnover at the director level, but those were personal choices that people had to make for career advancement, which should never be frowned upon. Miss Alice and Miss Emily have this school running on all cylinders and we are proud to be a part of the Barfield Academy family.

I attended university here for 4 years of my life, and it was one of the best decisions of my young…read moreadulthood. To start, the school is extremely affordable and yet still offers unparalleled opportunity and ability for personal development. I attended here at an affordable rate, yet this university gave me many great experiences (Simply for being a student!) - access to a 3d printer - amazing concerts - free tutoring - an amazing gym with a rock wall - a huge pool - any sporting facility you can think of - foreign diplomats and artists lectures - fun events - a carnival - political and democratic events In addition, the campus is absolutely beautiful and is always expanding and growing! The university itself is old, but its tech and development is state of the art. The professors are generally helpful, fair, and very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed class and you will too (as long as you do what is required of you!) Many professors here are world class! I was taught by authors, news anchors, politicians, and world travelers... their stories were amazing. They were truly a joy to learn from. (Shoutouts: Dr. Diccico, Prof. Burris, Prof. Oppmann, Dr. Kolar, Prof. Willis, Prof. Kent) The student resources were awesome too! This university is top notch at taking care of its students. We had access to every opportunity possible. We had a Job center, clothing closet, food pantry, general stores, plenty of space to hangout, fun events, a great gym, a pool, a rock wall, mental health services, veterans services, a pharmacy, and even a clinic. (I'm sure there is more, but this is impressive alone) I would also like to say that the experiences and memories I made there were absolutely amazing. I met people from all over the world who attended here, and the quality of education I received was the best of the best. My only complaint is that they need more dorms and of a better quality.

After reading a bunch of reviews apparently they have a contest to see who can write the most tickets and tow the most cars. Wow what a way to make money. Maybe they should focus on education vs writing tickets and towing car. Will never go back. Now who's laughing lady...

Hateful words from a crazy parent kept my child from attending school…read more First of all, it is a very good school. Teachers and students are kind and parents are nice.Except some Japanese parents. The other day, after school, my child was playing in the school yard.A group of Japanese mothers, who were a short distance away, said to my child, "We don't want you to play here with our children." My child did not do anything, just playing normally. The day after those words were said, My child was so traumatized that my child could no longer go to school. If they had something to say, they could have gone directly to me, the parent, but they didn't. They don't have the courage. Or do they just want to bully the weak? Just throwing a hateful word is unforgivable, but an adult, in a group, does it to an elementary school student. What are they thinking? There were several adults there, and no one questioned it? The place where they were playing was a public school yard. Why should they be told such a thing when my child were playing in own school yard? The Japanese mothers are said to be making small talk with a group of people every day after school while letting her children play. Do they think they have the schoolyard all to themselves? If they don't want my child to play together, why don't they play in their own yard or send them to a private school instead of a public school? Because of the hateful words of some crazy Japanese parents, my child's heart has been scarred for life. The school itself is a very good school, and if you don't get involved with those people, you will have a very good school life.
