He was working in the back while I looked in the store and browsed. Anyway, he is very talented as he does most of the work you bring him. You can actually see some finished work just to the right when you come in that locals have brought him to do some framing. I noticed there are some art work for sale of local tourist points like the bridges down town Chattanooga and etc. Also, he showed me work from local artists on display. You can take your pictures or oil paintings here and they will put them in a frame for you. There is also a pottery store next door but they were closed at the time I was visiting this art gallery. Furthermore, you can get your art supplies here like paint brushes and so forth.

It's located in Wildwood, Georgia, in the northwest corner of the state, or pretty much 10 miles southwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Rosie Mae's is actually free to visit where you can walk the grounds saying hello to 8 alpacas...5 boys and 3 girls. Guests can hand-feed the alpacas specially formulated pellets for just $2 per brown bag. Bags can be purchased inside the front entrance, which also serves as a coffee bar and miniature boutique. At first approaching the alpacas, they were content with just grazing on the farm's grass. I was pretty much invisible to them. It was only until I walked around the back of the farm and entered inside the barn area that I received a warm greeting. And that could have been because they sensed it was going to rain, lol. Nonetheless, my alpaca wishes were granted. I finally enticed them into trying the pellets which they gently vacuumed up from the palm of my hand. Having this newfound bonding time with the alpacas made all the difference in the encounter. Now I was walking away with a couple of heartfelt memories. Overall, you don't need very long when exploring around, maybe 45 minutes or so. This is just a quiet, little roadside attraction within the greater Chattanooga Valley area. But, if you have a love for animals and want the chance to enjoy hand-feeding alpacas, then make sure to keep in mind, Rosie Mae's Alpaca Farm.

The attention to detail was next-level--creaking floorboards, eerie whispers, and jump scares that had us clutching each other like terrified toddlers. Every room was a masterclass in horror design, from the blood-splattered asylum to the haunted Victorian parlor. The actors? Phenomenal. They didn't just scare--they became their characters. One ghoul followed us for three rooms, never breaking character, and I swear I'll be seeing his twisted grin in my dreams for weeks. I occasionally afford myself the luxury of visiting places without really knowing what to expect…read more This park just wasn't that clear to me in its purpose, but it became more so after arrival, with a visitor center focused on Native American history and identifying this as a Cherokee Nation headquarters. A spread of recreated buildings outside offers opportunities for perusal. The most aesthetically distinctive site is a large spring of the sort that seem more common in Kentucky than Tennessee, which evinces a robust blue color and empties into a clear stream. The spring itself is off-limits, but the stream is open for wading. All of these sites are within sight of the initial entrance, but a trek uphill reveals picnic areas, an amphitheater, and a couple of mile trail through the woods. Between the different elements of the park, it was easy to spend a couple of hours there, and best of all, it's free, though the gift shop warrants examination.

Red Clay is not the type of state park that I would normally seek out. Why? It's not in the…read moremountains and the trails are tame. Nonetheless, something about it lured me in for a visit and I'm glad I ventured out here (on Indigenous People's Day coincidentally). Historically, it's really interesting that this was the last meeting site for the Cherokee tribe's council. The signs claim it is "where the Trail of Tears really began." I was really intrigued by the natural Spring called "the Blue Hole." I've never seen a spring that appears bright blue in a forest setting. Seeing this cool natural sight was pretty awesome. Also, I could just imagine the Cherokee using this spring water and being here hundreds of years before. Trail wise: Pretty flat and easy trails. It's not very challenging. But, it makes up for it because it's a calm place with beautiful forest. I loved walking around. Also, since this is small and off the beaten path, it's not crowded at all. Overall: highly recommended. Worth a visit!
