Dr. Gainy impressed me with her care and concern. She went above and beyond what I went to her…read morefor. She was calming, caring, confident and concerned. She even spotted some skin cancer on another part of my body and encouraged me to see my dermatologist about getting a biopsy. She didn't have to do this. Her staff were all genuinely kind and caring as well. One even sharing pictures of Travis. A newborn to a staff member. He is a cutie! I would recommend this doctor to all who can use her services. They were all A + in my opinion.

DO NOT USE THIS DR!!!…read more I had an appointment yesterday with an OGBYN my regular doctor referred me to. I'd tried multiple birth controls for the past 2.5 years and they were all hormonal. My body hasn't reacted well to them. They caused me to bleed almost daily. I was lucky to have a few days a month without bleeding. So after much trial and error my doctor recommended I try the copper IUD as it's non-hormonal. Rewind 2.5 weeks ago. I went in to Dr Mukesh Parekh at Northwest Obstetrics and Gynecology PLLC. I was supposed to get my Nexplanon birth control removed and the copper IUD in. When he came into my room not once did he let finish ONE sentence and barely would look at me. He started asking me all of the questions I had already answered on the forms I filled out and were right in front of him. Not in a way of double checking, but in a demeaning manner as if he was testing me, and still as I'd be finishing my answers he'd cut me off. Then he asked why I was there today even though my appointment had been scheduled over a week ago and the info of why I was there was on a page in front of him. He then asked me if I had researched the copper IUD and I said yes and started to tell him why I wanted that one, he immediately interrupted me and kept telling me why I "don't want that one". Finally after my several attempts to get a finished sentence in he said he'd give me one "but not today". He said he'd take out the Nexplanon but he said "it's far too painful to get the IUD in except when you're in your bleeding cycle". I told him I was currently in my cycle and that I have a very high tolerance of pain. I pulled up my phone to show him my app that tracks my cycle and set it on the counter for him to see. As I was trying to tell him I didn't want a lapse in my birth control, he again refused to give me the IUD that day, then he snapped at me for my phone being on "his counter" even though I set it there for him to see. He said "get this off my counter" took my phone and dropped it on the bench I was sitting on and said "don't put things up here". He kept insisting he'd only give me the IUD on my next cycle because he wasn't sure if the period I was having now was a "real one". So I got my Nexplanon removed and I was scheduled to go in for a checkup the following week. The following week was dead in the middle of the Snow Pacalypse, so I got rescheduled for the following week. That was yesterday. First I spoke to the nurse and told her I'd like to go ahead and get the copper IUD today because my fiancé and I had unprotected sex 5 days ago and I knew that the copper IUD is the most effective form of emergency contraceptive but that it has to be put in 5 days from the day of unprotected sex. She looked at me like I was crazy and said "oh no... you're mistaken". I told her I had researched it thoroughly and everything said the same thing. She told me "Well I've never heard that, but you can ask the doctor when he comes in". While I was waiting for the doctor to come in I pulled out my phone and very quickly found the info on MANY credible websites saying what I had said, that the copper IUD is even more effective than the morning after pill. One page was planned parenthood's so I knew it was legit. The doctor came in and again he hardly looked at me. He checked my arm (which healed up fine) and I told him what I had told the nurse earlier. While I was talking he started shaking his head no and interrupted me saying "Nope. No. It doesn't work that way." I said "well right here I can show you multiple credible sites that say"... he interrupted me again shaking his head, waving his hands at me and clinched his eyes shut as I was trying to show him my phone, "No you just have to wait until your next cycle, if you're pregnant then sorry, you had unprotected sex." I said "so you will not give me the IUD? You refuse to give me that? That is the only reason my doctor referred me to you, to get my birth control switched out. Now I need this birth control before it's too late, and today is the last day I can get it." He said "well sorry I won't do it. I don't agree with it." I haven't been so upset in a LONG time. He KNEW it could be used as an emergency birth control but he refused to do it. As I was leaving I was crying I was so upset. **BIG NOTE** Within less than a day of me posting my experience on my personal Facebook page I had more than 5 of my personal friends comment saying they also had used Dr Mukesh Parekh in the past (over many years) and also had horrible experiences. I am dumbfounded that I am the only one who has posted negative reviews on here or on Facebook. This has taught me a big lesson. PLEASE be sure to ask your friends for references on doctors so you don't end up experiencing horrible things like I did.

Dr. Char is absolutely amazing! I've been to many doctors, I've yet to meet one as attentive. Dr…read more Char explained a lot of stuff thoroughly. I understood everything she explained to me, she made sure of that. I easily picked up on education and patients first is a priority for Dr. Char. I didn't feel rushed, I didn't feel like a number. I felt like i and my concerns mattered! I enjoyed (when have you ever enjoyed a doctors visit) this visit. Growing up my mom was afraid of doctors it seemed more regular to live and not know what's going on vs knowing and finding a solution. With more doctors like Dr. Char that fear and narrative will change! In return we will have healthy happy people. Regardless of any findings I'm confident Dr. Char will help me navigate it with care. I'm beyond thankful she and I crossed paths, there isn't a monetary value you can put on PEACE of mind. The peace of knowing I'm in good hands means the world to me. Thank you Dr. Char and the Holistically Well family.

Dr Char Dean goes by either "Dr Char" or "Dr Dean". This provider is, by far, the most empathetic,…read moreproblem-solving-minded medical professional I've worked with. She was able to target and identify the root cause of my thyroid dysfunction that 6 different endocrinologists have waived off over the last 10 years as being "normal". You don't get rushed out in 15 minutes and charged hundreds of dollars to leave with more questions & unknowns. Dr Dean spends 30-60 minutes during our appointments going over each piece of my labs and markers to make sure I understand how my body functions and how I can improve the deficiencies and optimize my healthy function. This provider LISTENS & responds to my concerns with respect maintaining dignity for the patient. Dr Dean excels in patient education, confronts your lifestyle choices gently sp you understand your options and the consequences of those options. She has helped make me more disciplined in taking the supplements & food choices that help fight off global inflammation flareups. She was able to help determine that my daughter needed an allergy panel after 3 different gaseronterologists couldn't accurately diagnose her digestive issues & 2 insisted she have her gall bladder removed. She had it removed and she declined in health. After Dr Dean spent time with her & ordered an allergy panel, it turned out she was highly allergic to several dietary staples. We could have saved her years of suffering by simply having an attentive provider. The amount of money I have spent total for the primary care costs, labs, perscriptions & exams have come out to a fraction of what I have spent going to specialists for years who barely scratched the surface & told me I was just stressed out. Dr Dean is the absolute truth in women's health. She will look at the whole person and ask you real questions, taking a real interest in your health and thriving.
