Same exact situation happened to me as the other commenter. The IULs Shela pushes are MLM scams and I lost over $7000 in a time when I trusted her to help me invest the small amount of extra money I had in a smart way for the future. Google/ Reddit indexed universal life insurance (or listen to the Money with Katie podcast ep about it) and you will see that this is a service that almost no one needs and is almost always a scam sold to you by a friend of a friend financial advisor. I was referred to Sheila Hager from Wealth Wave a few years ago. BEWARE! This company is an MLM that is just trying to make money off you. Sheila made an IUL sound like this amazing opportunity. However, it was never disclosed that it would take 7+ years to get out of this policy WITH my money I have invested....Or to even break even after all the premiums and commission they take. When I reported this agent for omitting several things about this policy, she dropped me completely and would not help me find a new agent as it was "out of her hands." There is no accountability for the lies they tell people in order to get the commission check. You report them and they drop you. So now I'm stuck in this policy with no one to help me. Worst financial decision of my life. I warn you to never trust this company or their poorly educated associates. They don't care about you. They just want to make a quick buck. read more
