Even the younger girl working with her was polite. The store has a nice variety of items, although they're somewhat scattered throughout. Strike #1: This visit was the complete opposite. The woman at the front was rude and snappy from the moment we walked in. Last year we started downstairs, so when my daughter asked if she could go downstairs, I told her yes. Before I could even finish telling my kids that I was coming with them, the employee abruptly interrupted me and barked, "You have to stay with your kids at all times." That was already my plan. There was no reason to cut me off or speak to me like I was an irresponsible parent. Strike #2: My son found a toy he really liked. He pressed the button a couple of times to make sure it worked before asking me if he could get it. He was being patient and waiting for his turn to speak. Instead of giving him a chance, the same employee walked all the way from the front of the store upstairs just to scold him for pressing the button. It was completely unnecessary and made my son feel like he had done something wrong when he hadn't. Customer service can make or break a business, and unfortunately this visit was enough for me. I won't be spending my money here again, and I certainly won't recommend this store to anyone looking for a welcoming shopping experience.

She explained that although their posted hours are 10:00-5:00, they "have to start locking the door and controlling traffic as the day ends." Interestingly, this contradicts the business's public response, which claims I "obviously came to [the] door after hours" and that no one saw or spoke to me. I was there before 5:00, and an employee looked directly at me while pulling the door shut and locking it. My complaint was never that they needed to stay open past 5:00. It was that I was prevented from entering before 5:00 without any explanation. Their private explanation actually provides context consistent with my experience, while their public response dismisses it entirely. I was also asked privately to delete my review and told, "I am sure [it] doesn't matter to you who you harm." I find that response particularly telling. Rather than simply acknowledging that the situation could have been handled better, the business chose to question my intentions and publicly characterize my experience as inaccurate.
