Holy cow! THIS is the same store? I didn't recognize the place and thought I'd wandered into the wrong space as it looked like a tricked-out, upscale liquor store. So yeah, they had the juice and milk I was looking for as well as every kind of liquor you'd want (Hangar One? Got it!) and a very extensive selection of wine at different price points. It's a convenience store with a vast selection of everyday stuff and an extensive array of spirits and foreign cigarettes to boot (as well as the usual brands). For a moment, I was sad I was no longer a smoker. Sigh.... Okay, the small bag of chips for $1.50 had me asking if I was paying for their remodel. Really? Customer service is the reason I'm rating this place one star. Two days ago I bought a quart of milk, they were out of what I usually drink which is vitamin D whole milk so I settled for 2%. When I got to work and had a glass it smelled a little funky but I figured it was because of the fact I don't usually drink that kind of milk. This morning I open it up and it's super chunky! Smelly and gross. The quart expired 10/13/17 !!! It's 10/27/17 !! So I go back and i Tell the man working "Hey i just want to let you know you guys sold me a two week expired milk, which I can't believe you guys would still have on the shelf to buy, is there anything you can do (holding the new vitamin D milk in my hand) maybe half price or exchange because that's disgusting" cashier: "how do I know you came and bought it" Me: "Well it was the elder man who rang me up you can ask him he'll remember, also I can show you my bank statement showing the total I spent here along with the date" Cashier "you should have checked the expiration yourself! there's nothing I can do" so I just bought the new milk... that's just ridiculous FYI people DOUBLE CHECK ANYTHING YOU BUY because who knows what else and for how long anything has been expired there and clearly they don't mind selling it and don't care to keep the customers happy. Plus the morning I went to buy the milk there was a sign on the door that said "Be back in 5 minutes" so no worries I waited.. once the man gets back I go to walk to the entrance and he unlocks the door shuts it on my face and locks it (it was 8:06, they open at 8:00) it was the rudest thing he didn't even say a word like "give me a sec" or anything. read more

(5 hours of grampa ANYTHING is more than I can take) and Dirty Dirty Toy Whores 7 were just a few of the titles that caught my eye. From the outside, it looks like a Russian-mafia front/Amsterdam-naked-women-standing-in-picture-windows brothel, but from the inside, it looks like a typical San Francisco locksmith shop/video store that may or may not turn into a pet store circa 2007. Only two aisles, but they go on for days. Everything you could ever want. It's very narrow, though, so no wheelchair access, and it's difficult to bend down and look closely at the candy without running into something or someone else. My second complaint (after the lack of wheelchair access), and it's not limited to this non-corner corner store: Why do you insist on yelling on your phone while you're helping me? I realize that working in a non-corner corner store isn't ideal, and that it's convenient to talk on the phone while you're working, but can't your conversation wait twenty-five seconds? And if not, do you have to yell? Honestly. Cellphones are much better than they used to be. People need to learn how to lower their voices. Especially in cramped spaces. read more

Your basic neighborhood liquor store. Although prices are high and the store is a bit run down, head to the way back fridge for a decent mix of domestic mircobrews and imported beers. There are better liquor stores on Fillmore---all with a much better selection especially at the higher end. Unless you live right on Divis and are feeling quite lazy, I do not see why you would want to come here. read more

WOW. The couple/woman/who knows who that runs this store are/is AMAZING!! They're super sweet which is always pleasant when I run in to buy a six pack or cigarettes... or honest tea. At one point they carried Estrella which brought me back to my living in Barcelona days. SUPER STOKED! I have to say, I'm not sure why people are surprised that prices are high at a convenience market. That's kind of how they work. You don't have time to go to Bev Mo, then you pay for the convenience of walking down the street to get your liquor. Now, with that said, I think this is a great little spot. I usually only buy Lottery tickets here, as I have never had the need for anything else but a few snacks here and there. But let me tell you a little story. Mega Millions was up over $100m. I stopped by and bought $60 worth of various lottery tickets, then walked out of the store without them! I realized it later that day. I went back the next day, and there was a guy at the counter who said that his dad was working there the day before, and rolled up my tickets, placed a little note on them, and left them behind the counter in case I came back for them. Wow! How refreshing to come across such an honest man. This is the kind of service that makes me loyal to a small business. You can bet all of my future lottery and miscellaneous last-minute items will be purchased here! read more

I usually don't give super bad reviews but you all need to know this.... DO NOT SHOP HERE. Their prices are way too high for THE six pack of beers. The man literally argued with my boyfriend when he asked about the total for the two six packs, which came out to a total of $28.25, and couldn't give him a receipt stating what he was buying. I do not trust the owner or anyone working for him. Like prior reviews, unless you're desperate, then feel free to shop there, but if not and have time, there's several safeways in the city that are open till 2 AM and other local liquor stores. read more

Holy shitting asshole. That was my first thought upon entering into this apparently newly remodeled store. They put in all new wooden shelving and have a pretty impressive wine selection (I saw a Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon which I like, for example) and an awesome selection of premium liquors. They've really changed this place and made it really nice, organized, and they have a great selection of whatever you'd expect to find at a convenience store. I almost felt underdressed for wandering in there in my standard LESBIAN uniform of admittedly hipster boots, collared plaid shirt, and leggings as pants with one leg haphazardly rolled up to the knee in the style of LL Cool J circa 1997 (it's not a cry for help I swear, I just don't give a fuck in my own neighborhood on a Sunday night) (ps if anybody wants to fuck I'll be home all night! And yes I do have to say the F word gratuitously in all of my reviews and talk about how slutty I am, I'm trying to get more FANS! I will never be Elite). About a month ago I noticed the sweet Asian couple that owned this place had been replaced by a bunch of Russian dudes (a running theme for convenience stores in this neighborhood, pretty sure there's some kind of ties to the Russian mafia but I've said too much already). I was just in here maybe three weeks ago with a friend when I was sort of drunk and bought a pack of cigarettes because...why not? And I vaguely remember talking to the guy working there and mentioned that they had a shitty ice cream selection (I don't mean to brag, but I'm kind of a connoisseur), and suggested they get the new flavor of B&J's (my homeboys) Clusterfluff, which is delicious and yet disgusting at the same time. And I noticed they totally had it when I came in today, so I guess they really listen. So to sum up, this place is now great and I'll probably be back to buy more than just the 1/2 gallon of milk that I needed for my Cheerios so I can eat cereal while watching the Fox Sunday night cartoon line up in my underwear. Booo. I don't trust convenient stores with prices on only some of their items. That's not convenient.

All I grabbed was a bottle of rosé (Angry Orchard Cider) and brought it to the front desk to purchase it. I had my ID ready as well but the owner literally just put the bottle to the side, disregarded my ID (he didn't even bother to even LOOK at it) and said "Have a nice day." Me standing there confused, he repeatedly says "have a nice day" and later explains "that's my way of saying I'm not selling this to you". He thought my ID was fake when he didn't even bother to look at it and went on to say "I did that same thing 10 years ago". He was being a complete d*ck and why would I try to show a fake ID for a bottle of Angry Orchard rosé??? Owner needs to learn the difference between a real ID and a fake one, that's your job. read more
