Nice spot in the Inner Richmond for craft beer and spirits. There's non-alcoholic wine and beer as well. They have a good selection of local craft beer and have some interesting sours. I was impressed that they had Cantillion bottles having visited their brewery in Brussels. I can't remember seeing Cantillon in the US before. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Tequila, if you know. You know.

Only place you can find great quality tequila (no additives) that will not rip you off by marking up the product.

The haul today .

My go to spot on clement. Trying out new craft beers and spirits since the bars closed .. Decent prices and huge selection. Service is cool. They sure know their stuff.

New favorite bottle shop. I am a beer writer and was sent on an assignment by my Editor to find the best craft spots in SF and I did just that with this gem. Of course this place has your typical Bay Area brews such as Marin Brewing Company, Moylans, and Drake's, but they are also equipped with hard to find beers from around the world. I was like a kid in a candy store here. I wish I had a $1,000 to blow on just beer. Not to mention, I spoke with the owner and beer buyer who were both super friendly and informative. Though this place is out of the way from Oakland, it is worth the trek. I highly recommend you stop in for some unique brews and take them to nearby Golden Gate Park for an exceptionally lovely afternoon. They even have some food choices like cheeses, olives, seasonings, etc. My friend and I bought some of the hummus and whole wheat pita to accompany our beer for our picnic. No question, this place is deserving of a "Woohoo" rating.

From afar, it looks like just an average liquor store, but don't be fooled. This store is a hidden gem! They have an AMAZING selection of unique local and imported beers, wine, whiskey, etc. But wait, there's more. They also have cheese, hummus, and a wide assortment of organic ice cream from local creameries. This place is definitely not cheap, but I don't mind paying extra once in while for high quality stuff!

THEN they take those bourbon barrels and put some wonderful California beers into those barrels to age a lil longer.

I have nothing but good things to say about their retail business. They have lots of rare and…read moreharder-to-find wines. They are a great retailer, very knowledgeable of wines old world and new. They have a fantastic selection. My issue is with their auction business, which I think they have very little they can do about it as they are taking the word of the sellers that the bottles have been properly cellared. Multiple Aubert Chardonnays (2014-2017) bottlings, top end, have been clearly past their prime despite being in the start of the prime drinking window, and one bottle that was very tired. So it seems to be less of the "rare bad bottle" problem and more of a systemic issue with some of their sellers. I'll change this review if other such start-of-the-prime-drinking-window bottles through K&L prove to show they are drinking well and increase the ratio of good to bad items. I have a lot more of these bottles to test. Edit: may 2026 - a few more Aubert Chardonnay's going back to a 2018 Eastside were opened and we're all spectacular, crisp and peaked. Our stats are much better now on the aging of chards through the auction. Changing to 5 stars.

In my case, KLWines stated that the order had been transferred to RareStorage and that they had no further responsibility. RareStorage, on the other hand, ignored my emails and support requests. As a result, I was left without the product I purchased and without the money I paid for shipping. From a customer's perspective, this is an unacceptable experience, as neither company accepted responsibility or provided a satisfactory resolution.

Mr. Liquor on Mission isn't a fancy wine shop, it's a true neighborhood corner store, the kind…read moreevery city block wishes it still had. I had actually seen this place on Instagram long before I ever came to San Francisco, mostly because of their pre‑bagged drinks. It looked like such a uniquely city thing -- quick grab & go mixes already put together so you don't have to think about it. When I finally made it to the West Coast, stopping here felt like checking off a small bucket‑list spot. You notice it before you even walk in, bright signs in the window, stacked drinks, and that steady flow of locals popping in and out like part of their daily routine. Inside, it's tight aisles packed floor to ceiling with beer, liquor, snacks, sodas, energy drinks, and a random mix of everyday essentials you didn't realize you needed until you saw them. The pre‑bagged drinks were just as cool in person, and what really made it memorable was that they hand you a cup of ice when you buy one. Simple, but somehow makes the whole experience feel intentional and welcoming instead of just transactional. The staff was friendly and quick, clearly used to keeping the line moving while still acknowledging everyone who walks in. It's not a place you browse slowly. You step in, grab what you need, exchange a quick hello, and head back out to Mission Street. However, we treated it like a tourist attraction, laughing at the drink names, and hovering around while we each picked a drink. Not a destination shop in the traditional sense, but for me it was. Really cool to travel across the country and finally stop into a place I'd only seen online and it lived up to the vibe.

My rating goes down though because it's far too overpriced. I just purchased a 4pk of seltzers and 1 tall can of beer and paid $36....baffling. I should have questioned it right then and there but we were talking and I just tapped my card. Disappointing.

They have everything you could ever want from a corner store, including a surprising wine collection and way too many T-shirts and baseball caps. This place hits it out of the park in the selection department, five out of five. But the first few times I came here, the guy working the counter was very gruff with me. I like curmudgeonly types as much as the next guy--I'm crusty and rough around the edges sometimes myself--but the first time, it was like he was itching for something to start an argument with me about. I haven't had that experience recently, but it did happen more than once. They do a pretty good business, but it's never crowded in an annoying way like Mission District or TL corner stores can be and often are. The prices seem high for the neighborhood, but I've mainly bought soda here, and it seems like every corner store is ripping people off on the price of soda at the moment. It's right on the edge between three stars and four, but I'm feeling generous today.
