I requested a simple job, selected the fabric, left the pattern and was told "about two weeks". After two weeks I called and was told I'd get a return call ' tomorrow'. It never came. We played that game for four weeks then I went in. The job wasn't done, but was told I'd get a call ' tomorrow'. I called out the lie and demanded to know when the simple job would be done. The next day I actually got a call to say it was done, but when I went in it was only half done, and not that well either. After two more visits they wore me down and I accepted their work. It's just OK, far below the standard I expected, and far too late by any standard. Find someone else for upholstery work. read more

The owner walks around the public area, smoking and wreaking of alcohol, which I'm pretty sure is illegal in Alberta. He was also treating the front desk Lady like a child, no respect was given, at all. Had an overall horrible experience! Lack of professionalism in the work place, and made me feel really uncomfortable. Oh and one more thing, I went in with a seat that I wrapped in leather myself and was almost finished tacking it together, I had two staples left to put in and my gun broke. So I went in ,and asked if they could quickly throw two staples in for me (so i wouldn't have to buy a new gun). The guy was going to charge me $35 for literally two-maybe three seconds of work. We have the same experience with Tim H. We went there with a photo of the chair I wanted re-upsholstered and the lady I spoke to said it would be $378 without the fabric. We brought the chair with the fabric and I confirmed with her the price she gave me at our first visit and she acknowledged it. After three weeks, I called her again to ask about the the chair and she told me they didn't work on it because the price has changed to $1200. I asked why they didn't call earlier. She told me they had left a message to let us know. I knew she was lying because nothing was on our voice mail and the next day she referred to was a Saturday. They are closed on weekend. This is definitely poor customer service, unprofessional and unethical. We are taking our chair back and look for another shop. Prospective customers - be warned! Darn it, should'a check reviews before dropping off Seadoo seats. Walked in and the guy said about $600 each for two piece units. Dropped them off and got a call later that day for $700 each. So, I said go ahead. Ready in about 2 weeks. OVER 4 weeks later they were still waiting for stainless staples (why stock those when you do marine work?) Finally picked up and the total is $775 each plus shop supplies!!?? Managed to get the gal to delete the shop supplies.... Cheesy approach to customer service. Look elsewhere people. read more

Recently took in a musical instrument case for a zipper repair to Wayne's Upholstery. I had removed the old zipper so it was an easy fix. The person doing the zipper repair said it was one hour of her time plus the cost of the zipper. The owner then asked me what a new case would cost. While a new case was around $500 I knew exactly where he was going with this, so I told him $200. I probably should have said "what difference does that make?", but didn't. He quoted me $170. $170!!! for a simple 1 hour zipper insertion!! If I said that a new case was $500, he probably would have quoted me $450....Will NEVER walk into that place again!! This place is so unprofessional. The owners son is probably the laziest guy I have ever met in my life. The guy reeks of cigarette smoke and seriously acts like a spoiled owners son. I came in to get my seats done on my boat and the guy treated me like I didn't know a thing I was talking about. He wanted to over charge me for everything. I wouldn't be surprised if he was just pocketing the bill for himself. He said he could give me a better deal if I paid by cash. To the owner, please find someone else to look after your shop. This chachi nonstop cigarette smoking son of yours will run your business down to the ground. I will never bring anything of mine to get repaired from the facility. I advise anyone who decides to go here to think otherwise. read more

I had previously used this business to simply get a few popped buttons off a sofa cushion I brought in. The owner retired. He was very quick and easy to deal with. The service was very reasonable as well. Today I called and got a rude customer service person. She told me they are too busy and I would have to wait a few months. Well that would be a good idea, something that takes a couple minutes and I will leave it for a few months. I was surprised to see such a great business in the past get a 1 star review when I looked this morning before calling. But now I totally understand. We own two businesses and I would never treat someone like that. We would not be very successful. No worries though I called another co. and that co said sure bring it in tomorrow we can fix it right away. Perfect. Good luck to you. read more

Wayne's recently upholstered the sofa set I inherited from my mother. Not only was the work done really well and fast, they were able to pick up and deliver the sofa set. The upholsterer Orlando was very sweet and an amazing craftsmen. It's so nice to see my mom's old set come back to life. read more

Outstanding work! I have had Wayne's Upholstery do both of my Vintage Ferrari interiors and quality of work is stunning. Since both cars have leather interiors with exposed stitching, each stitch and pleat has to be perfect otherwise any mistakes would clearly visible. Adding to the complexity, each interior piece (about 27 pieces per car) has multiple folds, pleats, creases, etc which makes it really difficult to properly cover the pieces using a single piece of leather. I really wish I could post both before and after pictures, as the results are truly amazing! read more
