this place is definitely just as good as any tattoo shop in the bay area. forget about the other negative comments this place received because you have to remember all tattoo shops aren't perfect and in my opinion, this shop does not deserve a 1 star rating! kristen is the daughter of wayne who comes up with the drawings and ideas for her father who does the inking. kristen is really a talented artist who knows her work. i came in the shop with a concept already drawn. when i showed kristen exactly what i wanted on my sketch book, she took about 1hr to come up with the final drawing of my idea from my sketch book. i am an artist as well and when she presented me the final drawing, i was blown away. she did an awesome job an really understood my idea. the best part was that i had scars that i wanted to cover up and she did an excellent job on how to disguise my scars with my tat. the tat i got was my name and a combination of my zodiac sign. much respect to kristen and her father for making my ideas come true! i am definitely coming back in the next coming weeks to add some color around my name once my tat heals. thank you!!! read more

I have had excellent service every time! Wayne is a great guy. He does very clean work. I have very delicate writing along my wrist which he executed with straight, crisp lines. Miss Kristen is my regular artist. She has done majority of my work. . . arms, back, wrist, etc. I always bring work that I would like seen, pictures, my own drawings and sketches, and Kristen cleans them up and make them ready for tattooing. I appreciate her feedback as well as she always makes my initial vision even better. Cleanliness is huge there. I watch them prep the area, their tools, etc. Never had an issue with their practices. After they bandage you up, they give you the care instructions. You may also find them on the back of their business cards, which are available on the counter. My work is so clean, many of my friends have asked me where I go for my work. I have referred a lot of my friends there and now we're all regulars at Wayne's Tattoo Studio. Ive been a customer at waynes for about 5 years now. I have gotten about six of my tattoos from this place and every single one of them i give 5/5 stars. Wayne is very experienced as well as his daughter kristen who has drawn two of my tattoos and is currently working on a Japanese style sleeve for my left arm. what i like about this place is that they actually show you what bad work is and compare it to their own work, which i think is totally blows the other artwork out of the water. their work is grade A+. Both kristen and wayne are masters at cover ups. I myself frequently get complimented on the tattoos done by wayne and kristen. The price they charge for their work is very good. I highly recommend this place if your looking to get inked. I am looking forward to the new piece of art that will be added to my body by them in the winter. My Dad and I were looking for a good tattoo shop that had fair price and a good place. We went to many shops but they were either scary and dark, or payed way too much for a tattoo. But then when we came across Wayne's Tattoo Studio, we saw that they really friendly. The shop was very lit well and not too dark, looked very clean. And when we got our tattoos they used new needles and made sure what tattoo we picked fit the place where we wanted the tattoo to be in. And if it didn't they either redrew it or added what was needed for the tattoo to look nice and complete. Trust me....go in...talk to Kristen. I went in to add a trail of stars onto my back which already has work done on it. I had the idea to work the stars through and around my existing tattoos so everything would come together. Yes, it's true (like a previous reviewer) that at first she only drew "circles" - that is deliberate to give an idea of placement so we could work together from there to achieve my goal. We talked about price and colors - from there, next visit, she had stars drawn out with color shading. She transferred the stencil to my back and removed and added what was necessary to look balanced. So much care and time she put into it all .....and my back looks awesome! read more

Was a GREAT EXPERIENCE, VERY NICE SERVICE and I forgot her name, I think its Kristen remade the draw of my tattoo and create a perfect backgroung for my fiance's tattoo that looks REALLY NICE!!! I've been twice to this place, once to get a tat on my lower back and the other one on my right ankle, and had nothing but good experience. This shop is small but very clean. Kristen did a great job with my ankle tattoo. She was very nice and went over the care instructions with me. She also handed me their business card with care instructions and her phone number in case I had more questions. My husband also had a tattoo done here! I am very dissapointed with Wayne's :( my first tattoo experience with Kristen was amazing, but the work that Wayne did for my friend was so bad. he made an excuse that my friend shouldnt get shading because his skin was "too dark" (my friend is asian with tan complexion) then the outcome of the lines were crooked and it was just a bad job trust me i would rather for to TRIPLE R or better yet Royalty Tattoo Collective for real tattoos at better or same prices. if your really set one waynes..ask for kristen read more

Wayne and Kriston were very friendly and helpful with my tattoo's design. They were very patient while I was deciding on my tattoo's picture...... There are sooooo many designs to choose. Anywayz, I found what I wanted and Kriston was able to help me redesign the picture so it will fit my style better. I was there for four long hours and they were still so nice to me.
