He is really experienced and knows what he is doing. I was charged a bit more than other places that I heard but I was ok with how smooth the operation went. It was great that I was able to schedule another appointment to check with him to see the wound is closed up after 2 weeks. Dr. Takamoto fixed my gap between my front teeth which was a big complex that I had had for almost 30 years, just in time for my wedding. Not only I was able to take many beautiful photos with friends and family on that day, but also it gave me more confident that I can smile without worrying about my teeth. I still remember I left his office so happy, the happiest dentist visit ever. What I like about Dr. Takamoto is he takes time to explain thoroughly until I feel comfortable about the treatment. Pros and cons of treatment, schedule, cost and maintenance or any other concern that I may have. I also want to note how great his crew is. They are knowledgeable, caring and professional. Ask what insurance options do I have? They'd lay all out for you. Ask how insurance works? They'd explain to you even if you keep asking really simple questions over and over again. It's funny to say, but I actually look forward my next visit. I usually keep delaying dentist visit until I start having issues, but it's me saying that I look forward the next visit. While they get the job done most of the time, they do not go above and beyond. Positive: The secretaries in Bremerton and the main clinic in Gig Harbor are friendly. They find appointments most of the time quickly. I like that they will see all 3 of my children on the same day, whereas most will only see 2. Negative: The is a lack of communication. Most recently my son had an appointment for a tooth extraction. My husband waited a good little while before they told him they could not see my son because a month prior he would not let them take xrays. They referred us out. That should have been done when the appointment was made.Besides, they could have take xrays prior to the work as I am sure they would have been able to do it. They do not work well with kids who have anxiety or other special needs. My daughter was supposed to have a filling done. She would not stop crying and they refused to fill it. They put a cap over it to supposedly stop further decay. My son most recently suffered from ADHD and some other issues. He had a bad day and we went in for an appointment. While he has had xrays done before, this particular time he would not cooperate. The Hygienist was nice and talked to him. She was not able to get much done. The dentist who was Asian saw him. My child would not cooperate and would bit down on the equipment. The Asian Dentist was snappy and was huffing and puffing and was not please with my son. I personally did not like the way my son was treated. Most pediatric dental clinics have partnerships with the hospitals to do light sedation or other methods to get the work done. The clinic they referred us to have the partnership with Harrison This clinic is limited in what they can do. They are behind schedule most of our appointments, so I cannot they are always late. Maybe they are on time for another family. They reschedule weekend appointments the day before because the dentist doesn't want to come in. Occasionally they are open on the weekend. I had a weekend appointment set up, but I was told the dentist did not want to drive into town. I had an appointment on 12/24 and they called the day before to say they were not going to be open. If they had a few patients, they should have squeezed everyone closer together or had staff come in. My time in just as valuable as theirs. Also, they are telling patients private business. One hygenist was explaining why another patient was gagging. I was not concerned and did not mention it nor ask, but I was told the person was sick, had a medical condition, and had just finished Chemo. That was not my business to know. Unfortunately, this is the only or one of a few places that take State Medicaid Insurance. Once I am able to put my children on my plan, I will transfer them to a different dental clinic

We love this place so much! We moved and our drive is 45 minutes but I would never change her dentist. They have the best staff! They're so amazing. We were on vacay two weeks ago and our daughter chipped her adult front tooth. They help me keep calm and stayed on the phone reassuring me everything is okay while I was crying. They also didn't get off the phone with me and stated I could keep calling if that will ease my mind. They got us in as soon as we landed and repaired it. Their process starts with a photographer spending 35 minutes taking pictures of all of your teeth sticking a mirror into your mouth and snapping photos of each and every tooth and each and every side of the tooth. After the photo session they pressure you to do x-rays, you want to trust medical professionals but I'll bet they can bill my insurance more for an x-ray than they can a teeth cleaning, I wouldn't know though because they never cleaned my teeth and told me I had to come back another day. After almost 90 minutes of photos and x-rays and examination's I was told my teeth were dirty and had plaque on them, The dentist also pointed out the spots where I was likely to get cavities, yet they would not clean my teeth since they wasted 90 minutes during photos and x-rays and because it was lunchtime. If you value your time do not waste your time here.
