She is only 4 and this was her very first appointment.... Also, In my opinion I found Dr. Stump to be condescending and rude. My other child had a lot of dental work to be done (we had not gone in a while due to COVID, moving, and loss of a job. We brush twice a day). He made me feel so bad that I actually cried after the appointment. When I went for a second opinion on all the work recommended (about $3,000...) I was told that her mouth breathing and genetics could have played a big role in her cavities, and was met with understanding and care. I was also given a different quote for almost $1,500 LESS for the same work. On top of it: One of the teeth quoted for a filling was a baby tooth that fell out two Months later. I would not recommend this place. In my Opinion; Go elsewhere if you want good work for a reasonable amount.

Well all was agreed, went in the room, laid her down and was told to leave... the second I went to leave she freaked out and was not strapped down yet. I was rushed out of the back area and to the waiting room where for 10 minutes I could hear my child screaming, mind you this was a 2 minute procedure had it been done correctly. Came home to find my daughter with finger marks on her wrists and bruises on her legs. The new office is aesthetically beautiful, the staff are always friendly, professional and have a warm heart for treating children. Our recent visit was during the COVID 19 pandemic and the office has adjusted to follow COVID protocol (I felt safe during the visit). My children are always happy when they come and when they leave, give this children's dentist a chance, you will not regret it.

Instead of doing the honest and professional thing by referring me to a specialist, he continued to incompetently place the one-size-fits-all solution he sells: the mini-implant. Randomly placing those look-alike implants precludes the possibility of a comprehensive dental plan. They were in the way, poorly placed and two were not entirely covered by their crown. Mini implants are smaller, thinner and not as stable, with a shorter life expectancy than conventional implants. Even so, they do require some degree of judgment and precision as to placement which was absent. All the dental work done by Doug Wright was inexpertly executed but his most egregious action is placing mini-implants which lack strength and longevity. Please explore other options with other dental professionals to avoid falling into the trap of his short-sighted and self-serving dentistry.

They are so sharp that they cut holes in my retainer and make it uncomfortable to eat. The dental team refused to even smooth down my teeth because--this is a direct quote--"teeth are supposed to be sharp to cut your food". Instead they referred me to a physical therapist to correct a jaw misalignment, which they declared was the source of the teeth chipping. They said there's no use in fixing the painful teeth or getting a new retainer until my jaw is fixed. I've never had any problem with my jaw and no doctor or dentist has ever mentioned a misalignment before. It felt as if their sole job was to make referrals. Everything I said was ignored. They also told me that my insurance would cover x-rays including bitewings, which they then recanted and charged me for after the fact. It was beyond frustrating, and I still have chipped teeth. What a waste of time and money.
