I went to emergency today by Ambulance in sereve pain...dealing with a tumor. The nurse was kind and gentle The PA that was attending under Dr R Jackson was short 1st question "are you here for pain pills" I said No half flabbergasted by the (?) as anyone could see i need more than pain meds! I went in with my mother because her blood pressure was at STROKE LEVEL. We waited for what seems like forever( 5 hours) just to even get seen by the doctor. This hospital is a joke. wouldn't recommend going to this one. The one is hinesville is so much better. Will be leaving this nice review for everyone to know. read more

Do NOT go here! This place will give you a FAKE sense of care. My niece was there on Saturday not able to breath. She was sent home with antibiotics told she had a UTI. Well today she pass at a young age with a blood clot in the lung. This could have all been avoided with knowing how to read the CTScan and Xrays that they took last night. Wayne memorial hospital in jessup georgia is a joke. I took my 2 year old son to the emergency center today January 5 2025. Had x-rays done on his chest and the results were that he has RSV and a mild ear infection. When we got our prescriptions we went to multiple pharmacy's and apparently the doctor who wrote the prescriptions has been blocked. We went back to hospital and they said just go home and in the morning go back to a local pharmacy and they will fill it. Wtf!!!! Does anybody see anything wrong with this!!!!! The ER is extremely slow, as most ER's typical are. So we check in, from that point on took a little over a hour for a room. Well we got called back for the first part of getting my babies vitals taken but with "minimal space" we had to leave our belongings out in the waiting room, lots of people had to leave their spouse's/ significant others while that part was being conducted. Then we finally get called back for a room due to them being limited on space we got a room that was basically another small waiting area. They never asked if we were okay with a Student PA or anything. You get who you get I guess since everywhere is posted that they're "independent contractors & not apart of the hospital". Well hours go by in this other room and we're just waiting. They come in quick glance, no exam. Determined "okay I guess your child is having x,y, &z I'll just write a prescription and hope it gets better" well then we proceeded to wait for the discharge paperwork and prescription paperwork for nearly 2.5 hours until I and my spouse went looking for a worker to give them to us so we can leave & not occupy a room we didn't need. The care here is poor, I could've and did self examine my child before I went in all for them to not even look at my child and just blindly agree with me. Kinda makes me worried how many patients they do that with. Glad to know I didn't need to spend a lot on a medical school education to figure that out though. The Emergency Services at Wayne County Memorial are the worst I have ever seen. I brought my son there the end of May because I thought he had a mental issue and very depressed. The Dr was a complete idiot and it took hours of sitting in a completely bare room except for chairs for the Dr to prescribe nothing and diagnose nothing! today we received a $3,000.00 bill!!! What did we pay for?? The only thing they did was do a blood test! A few days later I found out my so was in Cannabis induced psychoses!!! So not only does this county rip everyone off with their high property taxes and sales taxes but the have a hospital that is a charade!! read more

When we heard that our son would be delivered in Jesup, Georgia, to be completely candid, my heart sank. Never visiting Jesup, living over nine hours away and already handling the stress of an adoption brought a vision of a small town, less-than-adequate hospital. Entering the hospital on September 7 brought of ton of anxiety. I'll get to the point. Our experience was completely, unbelievably, ridiculously perfect. Simply, wow. From the second we walked through the doors, to the meeting with Helen, to the birth with Drs. Magors and Thomas, to the after care with Tonya, Cindy, Miss Libby, Michelle to the bureaucratic processes in the have-to situations, the staff made this experience the best of our life. My parents, brother and his wife all drove over nine hours to get here. We all agreed, we wouldn't receive this kind of facility, service level, kindness and professionalism at a big city, award-winning hospital. What you have in Wayne Memorial in Jesup is precious. I'd recommend any family (traditional or non-traditional) to make the extra effort, drive and/or time to choose this amazing facility and body of services. I actually feel that those words aren't enough to describe what WMH has here. read more

The staff is very friendly, but they charge a LOT for bloodwork. I got routine bloodwork done here, since I'm living in the area for attending college, so I didn't go to the usual place I get bloodwork done. They charged almost $1000 for routine bloodwork. Only 2 people treated me with an kindness tonight the ER doctor on call and the woman that comes in to take blood every body else acted like I was nuisance just because I have been treated there before for the same reason as tonight that includes the EMT that came to my house to take to the hospital read more

dk my mother-in-law was admitted a few days ago. her time in the er room was 8 hours this is terrible. no one check on her because we were sitting with her the whole time. we asked twice for some help with her breathing problems before someone finally came. she is bedridden so by time she was finally admitted she was soaking wet which we had asked for a clean sheet because after sweating and being wet she was cold. no one came my husband finally look in the cabinets himself and changed her covers. we got to hear conversations like, " the nurses can come down and get her it's not my job." and the lady answering the phone from the patents rooms said," number 3 needs to go the bathroom," in the ugliest voice a have ever heard. there are some many things that I heard and witnessed that there is not room to list them all. this does not include now that she is in a room. 5 minute wait times for someone to come turn off the i.v. beeper. having to go up twice in 1 hour to check again on her meds because no one ever came. this all so frustrating when I go to the nurses station and see at least 6 people up there just sitting around in a circle talking and joking. if they have nothing to do why are they there. sorry to be so negative but my experience has been very upsetting. hope you can find the problem in fix it for others. read more
