We live near the Co-op and after passing it for a couple of years, finally decided to swing by to…read moresee what they offered. They definitely cater to more farm-oriented clients, so it is less commercial nursery and more supply store for those in the lifestyle of outdoors and farming. None of this is a bad thing, but just to set the expectation! The store is good sized and depending on the season features a lot of outdoor space fitted with plants, grass seed, accessories, rock, straw, piping, barrels, etc...Interior is a little of everything from clothing to gardening tools, mowers, grills, grilling accessories, housewares, decor, chemicals, animal feed and treats and much more! Once we understood what they offered, we were solid. We were after a bit more flower bed based items and flowers themselves, which was not really offered here. We did pick up a few seed packets and a grill brush while here, so all was not lost on the visit. Service was a tad off from expectation, as they associates were quite busy with each other and less interested in engaging customers, even during check out. Overall, solid spot when needed. I understand the need for and dependence on the Co-op. Once we add a couple of acres, I can imagine this being a more consistent spot for us!

I have 60 plus horses on my property so I see these folks on a regular basis for my weekly feed order - THEY ARE THE BEST - they offer a variety of feeds (my horses and my favorite are Tucker Milling (TM) products - another local family owned business supporting local farms based in Guntersville, AL) I highly recommend TM Eqceed Senior, TM Solution 12, TM Mare & Foal, TM Soybean meal and stabilized rice bran - we use a LOT of feed on a regular basis. That said, 72 Farm & Hardware offers a number of feed options and supplements that are outstanding - as well as an excellent hardware selection. The folks that deliver feed are always careful, courteous, responsible and hardworking. Jackson and Lewis Saunders are outstanding to work with and seeing Trae on the week-ends is great - Trae is fantastic is always a pleasure to work with, always has the most cheerful and optimistic attitude and makes you feel welcome every time you walk in the door!!! If you haven't been there yet, give them a try for your home, farm, garden or stable project needs, tools and/or supplies. I think you will find them a great source for what you need without having to trek all the way in to Huntsville!!!

Needless to say, since we didn't come here knowing that it was like that, we were pretty surprised when someone walked out to help us. The person was very nice. He was a younger guy, probably in high school and out of school for the summer. He chatted with us while filling up our car. He did a good job of being quick but not making us feel unwelcome. If I remember correctly, it wasn't even that much more expensive than going somewhere normal and doing it yourself, which we were also surprised by.
